Have fun
meny fnx. and is posible kitchen rom for new MDA2 or only for MDA1? Is posible, where? And Best of img for MDA is? And Where can I download?
Sorry for my very bad english.
There is no kitchen for XDA II ... you can modify the ext-rom as you need.
there are many posts here... but none answers the question of the topicstarter?
I have the same question. Is it possible to update only the radio stack and leave the rom and extended rom alone?
And if it is possible, will the update work without a cold reset?
thanks for your answers
calvin
radio stack only
yes you can upgrade the radio stack only. open the ROM upgrade with the radio stack you eant by unzipping it NOT running it. after unzipped, delete both the other nbf diles and leave only the radio stack nbf file in the directory. run himalaya upgrade from that directory. the first upgrade screen will tell you the radio version being replaced and not indicate any upgrade for the other two..
i have done this successfullly by leaving 1.72 alone and switching between 1.10, 1.12 and 1.14 radio stacks. a cold reboot is required, but a sprite backup of the 1.72 system with a 1.10 radio stack worked fine after restore to the 1.72 system with the 1.14 radio.
hope this helps.

Sorry form my junior question.
My device is: i-mate
In ROM version 1.60.00WWE all midi's music were working fine.
After I upgrade my i-mate to new ROM version 1.72.00WWE,
All Songs seems deferent (may mono or some channel not working),
not like in ROM version 1.60, I made Hard reset and still the same.
may I need midi56.sa.CAB for this issue.
Any help regarding this ?
If no solution,
I am looking for ROM version 1.60.00WWE, to solve this problem.
I am waiting the expert pepole?
Strange,
No reply till now !!!
I am waiting the expert pepole.
Regards,
I haven't experienced this problem, but you might want to replace midi561.sa.cab with midi56.sa.cab in your extrom and config.txt.
but after replacing it you'll have to hard reset it. because i don't think you can uninstall midi561
You can extract all cabs in ExtRom from updates yourself (if you can get your hands on them)

I've just bought another O2XDA2 because my old one got some problems. the phone signal is very low.
The old one is running with Rom version 1.72.181
My new one is running on version 1.52.00WE and its phone signal is very strong.
I wonder if the ROM version 1.72.181 affect the signal of the phone or not ?
So I'm looking for Rom version 1.52.00WE to downgrade my old xda2.
does anyone have ? or know where to download ? pls help me....
or can i back up my new xda2 by using xBackup, and then run the backup on my old one. does it work ?
pls help... thanks

if it's exe then you can rename it to zip and open it and take a peek at the version that way

I find this a good start (ofcourse 8) I wrote it) if you want to begin modifying and mixing upgrades/downgrades.
and ER2003Edit is very useful

Its in the Radio ( signal strength )...
before im using radio stack version 1.17 and 1.18 and i do have poor signal in my place. When i downgrade it to 1.08, i gained 2 precious bar of signal ...
download and try radio version 1.08 Here
@semisonic : Do you know if battery usage with radio 1.08 is bigger?
It's a small price to pay for better coverage, but i just wonder if it has something to do with that.
thanks Rudegar, this file is exe file. i'll try.
thanks M4io again. i'm now reading your post
to semis0nic : so you think the radio version affect the signal strength ? just change the radio version to 1.08 will give us 2 more bars ??? or total you have 2 bars ? pls share with me your experiences...[/quote]
