Does anyone know of a source for a connector for this? I already have a GMS antenna with the standard FME connector. I am looking for an XDA II to FME pigtail??
I dont think the antenna connecter is for direct connection to an antenna, it does look very similar to many car kits though, the phone sits in the cradle and the connecter mates with its opposite number on the cradle, maybe you could cannibalise a car kit and solder the end to a cable.
Very strange, most other phones with antenna socket have a corresponding connector on a pigtail cable. Will have to look into trashing a car kit.
Maybe it is available, but I just havent seen it.

Please excuse me being a newbie with a slightly odd question
Someone recently gave me an old HTC Himalaya to play with (O2 XDA II). The 'phone had been dropped and wouldn't charge up. Taking the battery out and charging it separately I was able to get the 'phone working fine.
I dismantled it to find that the 22-pin connector for power and data had completely detached itself and it fell out of the case. The pins were badly bent so I soldered power lines directly to the main board and it charges fine.
Now... what I really want to use this 'phone for is the heart of a vehicle diagnostics system (written in Pocket Zeus) so I need a working RS232 connection. I used Bluetooth to transfer a couple of test programs to the 'phone and they are showing that Com 1 won't open, but Com 2 and 3 will.
Can anyone tell me which ports the RS232 connections on the Himalaya match up to? In particular the port on the 22-pin connector. I can hardwire a 9-PIN D serial plug to this connection if I can get the port open.

Hello all.
While I was taking my HD2 apart to replace a cracked screen (glass digitizer) I accidentally broke the connector off one of the wires. The wire is black and a few inches long with a silver and round press on connector on each end. It attaches to the board that houses the vibrator motor and runs down the right side of the phone (if you were looking at it face down and partially disassembled).
Unfortunately, I lost the metal piece that broke off the wire (the thing is tiny!), so I can't just solder it back on. Any idea on where I can buy a replacement? I've spent about 6 hours today on ebay and google to no avail. Searching for "HD2 black wire" and anything similar is hardly efficient, but that's all I know about it.
Any help appreciated.

Good question, I think I damaged the cable to the volume buttons so it would be cool if someone has an adress where we can get spare parts except LCD and Digitizer..

connector of my hd2 is also broken HTC says that the mainboard must be change and I have to pay € 230 because that is my responsibility
I think you have damaged your coaxial cable connector for wifi and bluetooth. Google will help you perhaps.
I believe that my wifi/bluetooth cable is broken, as I have no wifi or bluetooth signal since dropping my phone as reported in a previous post of mine. Can anybody advise me on the difficulty of undertaking this repair myself, does it involve complete disassembly of phone, any soldering etc. If this is the case I don't feel confident enough to do this so does anybody know of someone who does this sort of repair, I have found the cable on e bay for £7 and it looks like it has push on connectors ?
if the connectors on the boards are not broken then all you need is the coaxial cable with connectors on the two end. you need not disassemble the whole set, just open the back cover, connect one end of the cable to mother board and other end to the rigid flex board and that's it.

Do you think that this is my problem as since I dropped my HD2 I have no wifi (unless sat ontop of router) or bluetooth or fm radio, is it easy to get to the coax cable by removing back cover, whereabouts is it ?

Fixed it, opened up phone and spotted that at one end of the black wire the connector was not pushed onto the motherboard securely, I pushed it home and hey presto, wifi and Bluetooth now working, phew, Thanks for your help !

Hello i have Samsung Galaxy S III i9300. Recently i was trying to put a new screen to it but when i tried to pop the antenna cable , the antenna cable connector came along with the antenna connector of the mother board.
Can that be fixed?
I am talking about the little circle shaped connector that it's a part of the motherboard.

So I have the following Samsung Multimedia Dock, which was working fine since a year or more. It was used pretty much regularly with Galaxy SIV (either with stock or extended battery ). I guess after prolong usage and atmosphere condition the solder point on the micro USB connector internally got dry and got detached. Hence it stopped working.
Hence when opening it to have a look inside, I lost the sequence of 8 wires connected to the micro USB connector on both sides (4 on each side). The pins on the micro USB connector are marked numerically 1-8 , however I cannot see the same number on the main PCB, so I am at a loss to understand how to get them solded again , in which order and sequence.
It is I guess a 11 pin micro USB connector because the dock had HDMI, Audio Out, and USB in (OTG) connections and power charging all at the same time.
Case cracked open and the main PCB and micro USB connector are apart.

MicroUSB connector call it side A (4 small pin out number from 1-4)
MicroUSB connector call it side B (4 small pin out number from 5-8) (I was able to see which wires were connected on this side so I marked this side with a blue marker and did the same with the 4 wires loosely held on this side after detachment)
PCB wires close up. Total eight wires. Starting from right the order is Black->Yellow->Green->Red->Yellow->Black->Red->Green, each of the wire needs to go to a pin 1-8 on the micro USB connector.
I know there are no published schematics for this PCB and 11 pin Samsung connector, however I am relying on the electronic expertise of the gurus around to help and guide me.
