Hi all,
this is the second time, I have a booting problem on my XDA2. XDA2 doesnt start anymore (Bootloader works). The o2 screen appears but nothing else happens.
The first time I had to send the device back to O2. They told me, that they had reflashed the device. Now I am searching for a way to reflash the device by myself. Is there a way to get an SD-Card Image or to create one, wich works for me.
Does anyone else have the same problem?

i could use you hep with this one. I ran magneto on my orange m1000, but a week ago i dropped and it is not working properly anymore. Sometimes it doesn't work at all, it resets itself and when i try to enter my pin it resets again.
I have got an insurance on my device. However i will need to revert back to an orginal 2002 orange ROM, because else i will get in trouble and they will put the blame with me and not replace the device.
I have tried to find an orginal dutch orange rom but i haven't sofar. any of you guys got one for me?
Doesn't that come with W2003? Mine did.... unfortunatly I forgot to make a backup before upgrading to W2003SE and later W2k5... so I would also be interested in the original.... just in case ....
yes your right it comes with 2003, but can anyone help me with an orginal 2003 orange rom?
Hi everyone on this forum,few days ago i bought brand new Orange SPV C550,was try reflash to SDA II but by mistake reflashed to SDA1 now my phone don't have signs of life,when trying to power on just come white screen for few seconds,the computer still can see as a smartphone but the phone can't switch on bootloader mode. Someone have any ideas? Would be very appreciate. Thanks!

I have made a mistake as you, and I know how to fix that problem by Expert. Your Rom was lost the bootfile and you can't fix wiht cable data. Only expert of hardware can fix that problem.

Yup, according to what I read in other forums, this is really bad... In short, it means the phone has become a brick.
I got one as well and intend to change the current Orange' rom to any better one, because of a bug which makes the phone freeze sometimes while dialing a number.
I am concerned about finding a proper rom for that model, so as to avoid making a "big mistake".
Three days back,my SPV C550 suddenly hanged.I restart it by removing the battery.After reboot, it now only showing desktop with battery icon,signal strength indicator and the Unlock button(soft key) with Windows Mobile screen logo.I tried Hard reset, which cannot complete succeessfully.It also can't connect to Active Sync.
I also tried to flash the ROM from SD card,but it can't allow update because
my phone doesn't have a SuperCID.i unable to change CID because both SPV-Services and pdocread.exe need Active Sync connetion to work.
I searched all the forums,but didn't find any solution how to change CID without Active Sync.
Please help.
I had a similar problem with mine. The screen is the same as yours only varying with the sim card removed to a sim missing logo. Also mine makes the error/message noise repeatedly for a phew secoonds every half hour or so.
I just gave up in the end and admitted it was a brick

Well the TyTn has died and I'm still waiting on a refund on a dodge wizard so its time to dig out the old SPVs I have a working Tornado (the right soft key has packed up thats a little annoying) so am trying to revive this hurricane.
I have linked some pictures of what is dose display and as you can see it will load into boot loader but due to not being ably to unlock it I cant flash any of the roms I have found.
I have been trying to fix this now for well bloody ages on and off but a good straight 12 hours just recently and to no avail.
In short I need a way to unlock the phone without active sync. The only way I can think of being able to do this is with some kind of specific software through boot loader
Any ideas?
HELP PLZ DEAD SPV c550 During WM6 Upgrade
i hv made a mistake while upgrading my spv c550(HTC Hurricane) to wm6.
i have flashed the wrong spl SPL 1.01.0109 on my fone. that spl was of htc typhoon.
now my phone is not booting up.
when i press the power button the fone gives the white disply and nothing else happens.
i cannot even get into bootloader.
the charging function works when the fone is turned off.
when i turn on the fone it dos nothing not even chaging.
is there any way to get my old fone back...
help plz

Today I did the installation of CR86_THD_v6.5.0.0.3_Beta, the installation everything was quiet, I did all correct procedures and apparently everything was fine, in shelltool presented the complete message, and asked me to make a HARDRESET, did everything normal, he alloy, shows the bootscreen of HTC, then displays the screen where the version of IPL SPL GSM OS and it freezes, it does not come on screen, I wonder if someone has something that might help me.
He still carries the battery charger when connected to, and I imagine it just a mess because it binds to and usually only appears on the screen that the Qtek logo and the does not that screen TrueColor or it freezes on the screen that informs the version the SPL IPL, but I hope the lay experts help me ...

Hi, first time i have ever had a problem with a Hermes device.
I have a Vodafone VPA version, and i have flashed "Schap's 4.31" WM6 PRO fine, like i have on many other devices in the past.
It is actualy a phone i was just sent back from someone on eBay because there was no network signal on any sim provider at all. I had unlocked it before i sent it but he has obviously done somthing to it.
So now, i can re-flash the rom fine, but i can not CID unlock it at all.
It gets to that point and give me the ERROR [262] message.
I am using "v3a by pof" to do the CID unlocking.
I have looked at the device infomation (as i can go on to windows just fine) and i do not have an IMEI number or a Radio version or a Protocol versioni number.
I think i basicaly need a Radio Rom upgrade/flash to fix it? But i can not seem to do it.
Is it somthing to do with bad blocks?....
I am dual booting Vista & XP from my laptop and have tried on both OS.
Any help would be amazing.
Update:
It also show "NO GSM" on boot along with the SPL info.
It also has HardSPL & flashing from memory card is freezing at the GSM stage also.
Why wont it let me flash a Radio to it? Its driving me crazy!

Your hermes is likely the hardware is broken, I suggest you get it repaird.

Hmmm, that is a possibility.
But i have seem many people with the same issue and have been able to fix it.
I have been trying to wipe some settings using MTTY.exe
However, where is should be saying USB>
It is saying CMD>
I have looked through the wiki but still no luck.
Anyone else know how to fix this?
