No block recogniser? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Downloaded and installed Windows Mobile 2003se Vers. 2.2.07WWE and I only have the HTC Phonepad from the extended ROM and a keyboard.
I can live without the others, but I do need Block Recogniser.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

1.72 ROM - Service Pack 2?

I just upgraded to 1.72 which supposedly includes Microsoft's Service Pack 2 with the ability to change from Portrait to landscaped mode, but the feature doesn't appear. Anyone know any detals? Also, I ran both ROM updates (1.72 and 1.72 SKU1, but I'm not getting the Ext. ROM 1.72 on my iMate. Anyone have any comments there?
Thanks,
Scott

As far as I know Service Pack 2 doesnt allow you to change between landscape and Portrait mode.
Probably you mean Windows Mobile 2003 SE (Second Edition)....
This is not a WM 2003SE rom.
Correct, Windows Mobile Service Pack 2 is *NOT* the same as Windows Mobile Second Edition

Installing PocketZenPhone on Qtek 1010

Hi!
I recently found Your program on the web and I must say it seems to be the application I have been looking for ever since I bought my Qtek1010 2 years ago.
I have downloaded the application (version 4.0) moved the installation file to my device, and installed it. I get no error messages or anything but no PocketZenPhone appear in the today list. I’ve also tried the 4.12 version with the same result.
Is there a simple solution on this? Am I doing something wrong?

Are you using Pocket Windows 2002? If so, apparently PZP does not work with that OS (yet).
If you are using WM2003, have you gone into Start -> Settings -> Today -> Items and turned PZP on?
Hi!
I'm using PocketPC 2002. Doesn't PZP work in that enwironment?
Best Regards
Henrik

Can I upgrade XDA II 1.72.01ger to Windows Mobile 2005?

When I registered with this forum I was presented with a list of possible XDA II models that I could select that is used to indicate to others what model I have. Unfortunately my version is not in the list. Here are the specs:
R 1.17.00
G 1337.28
D 1.72.01ger (This is a german OS)
The OS doesn't say "Windows Mobile 2003" but rather:
Microsoft Pocket PC
Version 4.20.0 (Build 14053)
My XDA II has 128 MB of RAM.
I would like to know whether its possible to upgrage my OS to Windows Mobile 2005. The english version would be fine. I don't want the german version anyway. I've read a lot of posts but it isn't entirely clear whether it's really possible. Does upgrading only work with some version of the XDA II and beyond that version while not working for versions prior to it? Or can this upgrade be made to any version of the XDA II?
Can someone point me to something that would give me a strong sense of assurance that it is possible. Without this assurance I won't chance it. Last thing I need is a dead phone. The major reason I want to upgrade is to eliminate the problem of losing everything if the battery dies or is removed.
Thanks for your help.
yes
www.buzzdev.net
believe there is a german one too
Have you or do you know anyone who has *successfully* installed Windows Mobile 2005 on a version of the XDA II that I have or an older version in a language other than english?
if you go to the window 2005 forum in the himalaya group it's almost mainly users who installed 2005 on their himalaya devices
well that and ppl who did it on their blue angel too
"XDA II that I have or an older version in a language other than english?"
not 100% sure what you are saying here
if you by version mean himalaya or if you are talking about your rom version if the later rom version have nothing to do with it really
if you mean device as in himalaya then roms hare 100% made for a device windows mobile is not like normal windows
so the rom for himalaya is MADE for himalaya
and about language then it's a part of the rom only if you change rom you change language to the language of the rom you change to

SMS issue in WM 6.1 pro

I have installed the ROM for O2 Atom EXEC with ce-star Chinese. It seems OK.
The ROM version is Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional CE OS 5.2.19199 (build 19199.1.0.2) Abusalza.
I set the region as English(Australia) then after I installed the CE-Star. I found the windows live messenger could work well.
But the system cannot allow me to new a SMS directly, or via the menu in contacts.
How can I do to fix the problem?

HTC + google android?

Hello!
I have recently bought an HTC Rose.
I was wondering if there is a google android version available for the Rose.
If so, does anyone know how to flash the phone ?
Thanks in advance!
Forget about Android on non-native Android hardware.
1. HTC Rose doesn't have (only yet - I hope) HardSPL, so we cannot even flash it with anything else than original ROM.
2. Not even one Android OS version for device with other operating system (Nokia N8x0, Raphael, Hermes) is usable. In most cases the problem is lack of drivers.
