Broken XDA Vibra Motor

My Virba Motor is broken, one of the pins snapped off inside the XDA (I not II). I need a replacement motor but I can't find one anywhere on the web. I've even phoned O2 to see if they could help. Does any have a spare they could sell me, or know of a site that supplies them? Any help would be appreciated.
Please help!!! Anyone??? My girlfriend keeps killing me because I don't know she is ringing me!!!
Yeah! Girls do not like it when the vib is not working! :?
I think the vibra motor for the nokia 3210 might do the trick.
I know a person in my country most possibly capable of ...
fixing that motor, and according to his words it is to be very simple task (we had a talk specifically on that subject the other day) .... but my wild guess is that a hell far from where you live
regards, monika
Thanks for replies. I'll look into the nokia motor. The original motor is beyond repair, one of the connection pins snapped off inside the XDA, couldn't even solder it back on due to position of the break and how small it is.
can you make some pictures of scans pls ??
i'd post it to my friend and we see what he says
regards, monika
Success! I had an old Nokia 6210 which I nicked the motor out of and I managed to fit it (not easily) into the XDA. It works! I would still like a proper XDA motor but I'm a happy chappy for the moment.

Sound from main connector?

Hi
Can anybody confirm if sound is wired into the main connector, I currently plug into the headphone / microphone jack plug to get TomTom sounds in the car, but it would be much more convenient to insert just one connector instead of two.
Has the connector wiring diagram been published anywhere?
Cheers
Justin
oops
I have just found it

Justin
Good luck!
Hi
The wiring diagram from
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/Connectors is incorrect for the Himalya.
I only managed to get sound from one channel, and grounding pin 19 did not switch off the internal speaker.
Does anybody know of another source of the pinout for the connector.
I could buy a http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=108730 but that seems expensive.
Cheers
Justin
Justin,
More than one source confirmed the pinout of the connector is correct for the Himalaya.
Are you sure you did not get thing wrong?
Maybe some other threads (key word "carkit" or "car kit") are of interest for you.
YES sound is fed to the bottom connector
BUT dependent of who you speak with (ie which rom theyre using):
- all sound (both in-call phone and pda)
- in-call phone only
Unfortunately my carkit (O2 XDA II as sold by Expansys) only let me hear in-call phone sound. My rom is the T-Mobile 1.60.00 (1.60.36 ext rom).
Hi edsub
After posting I read about the problem with sound only comming out of the bottom connector when In a call, I didn't try this. Hopefully a later ROM will fix this issue. Until then I will use the headset jack plug.
Cheers
Justin

I have the same problem with the original CarKit of the XDA I.
So this could be a general problem....
Stefan
I used to have stereo from the bottomconnector from my XDA 1, but not from my MDA 2...
As far as imknow Edsub is correct, only in-call audio works for now with most ROM's...
Getting all-audio through the speakers seems to be a rare story...
@johan: It sure is a rare story. Especially from the stories that seem to imply that one it getting all sound thru the bottom connector, I only got feedback from one person that claimed this was the case for rom 1.60.00 in combination with the T-Mobile MDAII carkit.
Which makes it even stranger because that same rom is the one I am using (and only having in-call phone audio) . . .

Rare (Eng.) = Zeldzaam (NL.)
I only read one story of a guy who said Tomtom work through the speaker, i'm afraid the was another mixup about waht speaker. The internal one or not....
According to Mocki on www.ppc-welt.info two pins are important:
pin19 should be grounded
pin9 should be UNconnected
This situation makes the T-Mobile carkit behave like wished:
When there is sound output (no matter what source):
1. radio is muted
2. sound goes via bottom connector to carkit-speakers (or car-audio line-in)
Does anyone know how pin 9 is connected inside the O2 XDAII carkit???
Help - can see any of it!
Hi
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/Connectors just gives me XML/XSL errors, and I cant speak German - really could do with a wiring diagram for the bottom connector.
I have Carcomm car cradles, Nokia Bluetooth car kits (kinda of works now) and a very neat bluetooth head set. I want the cradle to send audio to an aux input on the car stereo so I can play MP3's from the 512 SD card I just got!!
I can drill a hole in the bottom of the carcomm and attach a 3.5mm jack but it would be much better if I could use the connector
Ta!!

Wiring for bottom connector
Hii
Thanks for that - something to do this weekend now!!
JB
Hi
If that works it will be great, I'm not going to try it until someone else confirms it works as I need to get a hardware guy to do the soldering for me.
So if any of you are going to try it, please remember to post back here.
Cheers

Can someone help me, please?

Hello, I have a Wizard since more than a year. Unfortunately my wire stereo hands-free is broken. Unfortunately I can't find a replacement in the country I live in - Bulgaria.
So, please if anyone knows the original electric scheme of the stereo headset, so I can be able to reconstruct an available one. Also, if there is a compatibility with any popular model..... it would be great.
http://web.it.kth.se/~maguire/iPAQ-photos/iPAQ-audio-adapter.html
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Connectors
should be the same for Wizard
Thank you...
I will try...... Have you tried this? Nowhere in the text is said that it would work for the wizard. But still it's worth trying... as nothing will be destroyed.
the hardest part with wraping up a wizard compatible headset is the jack part - i wasn't able to find a neat small jack with four connectors in any local store - all they offer are some cheap plastic plugs that fall appart after few uses. the best replacement for it would be some kind of jack - jack camera cable - four wires, four connectors, solid plug. this cable costs about 1-1,5 Euro and was the best thing for me to use since i had nokia 5510 ;] good luck

Rk3066 pcb bible, i hope it helps us

Hi everybody
Sorry for my english, isn't my native language
For some problems on my radio i had to buy a main board to KGL on internet and they sent me one "new", but no was so, it was repaired unit and had some problems. so i claimed to paypal to help me and while i was waiting for the answer kgl tried to help me to repair the broken mainboard and sent me the material that i share here.
finally my problem was on TFT board (1 resistor died) and paypal refund me the money, and today i'm very happy because now i can listen MY music after 5 long months.
Maybe we can see something that can be improve to get a better radio(sound, signals, etc) and is easy track the routes with this software.
i tried to upload the software to open the pcb but i cant, so the program name is PADS9.5, try to download it from google
https://www.pads.com/downloads/standard-eval-request
i call @Digo69 to explain us how to made the mod he told here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67892872&postcount=464
thanks
@7floor take a look
i had been looking on pcb file the bluetooth mod and i think is no needed, take a look on yellow tracks, the radio has done the mod, the problem is the kind of jack for the micro because the original mic jack is a 3 pins, which 1º pin is groud, 2º pin is the mic for bluetooth and tracks go to c32 and c32 go to pin 4 on bluetooth module (pin 2 pic) and 3º is mic for system (pin 3 pic), i only can see two separated ways for sound inputs.
maybe c144 do some modification on bluetooth mic, because it's connected to c32 (jumper) pin 4 on bluetooth module and ground
we only have to use a 3 pin male jack (stereo) and use an aftermark mic usin pin 2 + and pin 3- pin1 no connected (only for bluetooth mic in) or pin 1 and 2+ and pin 3- for both mic in
what do you think?

Can you ask for them to send you schematics? These are board designs, somewhat useful.
