Hello. I have a problem with spv m1000. When I try to start it, it come to a position and want Cognito code which I don't know. Is there any way to remove that code, because i can't update ROM of spv m1000...Any idea

what the hell is cognito code? Have you tried starting the device without a simcard in it?

I don't know much about it personally but hopefully this will give you a better idea where to look.
You should try Googling and using the search function on this forum, and then provide us with more information ie Where did you get this phone from etc
Assuming you got it from a work place and you have permission to own it (ie legally) then perhaps you can ask the business for the code?
jadel nice link i was intrigued as to what a cognito code was, so i went and read it. Basically all he has to do is hard reset the device and then align the screen and then soft reset before the extended rom is installed then he should be able to reflash a new rom to it.

I would like to try and play around with other ROMS but before I do wish to have the stock Serra o2 rom as a safe guard - incase I need to return it for warrenty repair.
Does anyone have a copy - my version is as follows:

Can anyone advise why it's so hard to find an o2 rom - there seem to be lots of others around?
Perhaps because it's only been recently released on o2. Perhaps ask on a specific o2 XDA forum, or the o2 forum itself.
I don't have the ROM either since I flashed mine without saving my old ROM.

i'm expecting delivery of an o2 Serra today and can dump the original rom and share it if someone can point me to directions on how to do it safely?
im expecting i'd need to dump and rebuild it as per the kaiser one?

quick question i forgot to ask, do i need hardspl installed to dump the rom safely or is it just used for rom flashing, not dumping?

I too have an XDA Serra on O2 and am looking to flash my first ever ROM at some point this week so it would be great if you could put the stock ROM up on here so I can have it as well in case my first attempt at ROM upgrade goes pear shaped.
Also if any of you guys have succesfully flashed your Serra, did you need to unlock it in any way or simply flash the ROM?

hi guys sorry for the delay, i've been scratching my head trying to get the rom dumped but i cant even get past the first hurdle...
i follow the guide and edited the reg value, copied the dll file over and ran pdocread.exe -l but when i do this step, nothing happens for a while and then i get an error message that it couldnt open the itsutils.dll even though i've copied it to the windows folder
am i meant to run pdocread on my pc whilst the device is activesynced?
right finally got it to work but theres another prob...the baserom file in the previous link is corrupt so i cant cook the new rom...
i've uploaded my raw files from the stock o2 rom to rapidshare, if someone can construct the rom, that'd be great

Or try going to HTC.com and download the ROM from there, you should get the right rom when you write in the S/N from the back of your phone (under battery)

Hello everyone, I'm new here so I don't know where to post this
First of all, I have other devices so it's not about buying a new one. I need this device for the apps using its id
My tablet was stuck on boot so I flashed a rom that was supposedly for my device. I never wanted to flash a rom but I needed to. The touch screen and wifi didn't work. I was able to attach a mouse to it so I tested the wifi. I flashed many other roms but the touch screen didn't work.
So, if anyone has a stock rom for the device or any rom that may work on it please send me a link. I searched everywhere but I couldn't find anything useful.
Oh, and if someone who has the device did a backup for the stock rom can I flash it after that?? Not sure if this sounds stupid. I don't know much about this.

you will have to build one, learn how to dump the rom image followed by building a rom.

Hey, bro you can go to rom providers, since it is mediatek powered brain for unlocking you can do with a pc.Developing a custom rom for this bit difficult, but you get it.
