Hi during a official upgrade

after detecting my device it got stuck in bootloader-mode
nothing has been updated yet.
the screen only shows Serial 1.02 or USB 1.02
i cannot reset my device,is there any way to exit the bootloader

no matter what i tried it all failed
so the only option left was to install a unofficial rom
i now have the diamond release nicely working

I have tried the bootloader recovery but when I try and install the NVID rom while on the bootloader screen, it says error (260) the update utility cannot connect to your pda/phone. However on my vista machine the device manager recognises a HTC 'pocket pc usbsync device' while my prophet is connected on bootloader.
I did upgrade from PT VII to Crystal 2 (no error messages) without downgrading to WM5 NVID first. I only did this because I had an error that seemed to not let me downgrade to the NVID rom, so then I got lazy. My bootloader still comes on and if I reset normally it just gets stuck on Qtek screen showing OS 6.0.0.1 - is there still hope?
Just if anyone has a suggestion + thanks for the great work on these wm6 roms.

you have to go to bootloader mode .. press camera button and hold it then reset your phone , then keep holding the camera until you get to bootloader. then connect your ppc to you pc. don't care about activsync. just run the wm5 downgrade. you should be able to upgrade after you downgrade to wm5.
Success! - it appears that it was my PC running Windows Vista which is not initially compatible with running the RUU rom update files whilst in bootloader.

During th eflash of my rom radio with 1.54.00.10 the program stopped and my mobile restart in bootloader.
The problem is that the flash program doesn't want to restart flashing and my mobile stay on bootloader menu.

Did you try to flash your original shipped ROM entirely to the device?
What is IPL/SPL on your device?

I flashed with RUUWrapper.exe on my PC with usb connection but during the verification the soft said me error 260 the device not connect.
Is there a possibility to flash the rom radio without PC, directly on my mobile ?

Looks like the FLASHING TOOL is not compatible to your device! What OPERATING SYSTEM are you using?
I am not sure if your device is already CID unlocked?
If you run on XP and your device is CID unlocked use the CustomRUU (search the forum), if not: read the WIKI!

HELLLP (ive been upgrading since the xda II) and i recently got a tmobile hermes with wm5! then got wm6 upgraded it and got to about 78% and my pc died and then i tryed recovery did not work had to go to work so i left it! got back and ive tryed so many more upgrades of the image with no luck its stuck on splash screen! ive placed it into bootloader mode then ran ruu wrapper and it gets to the bit of updrading (25mins and a progress bar) and the phone goes white with upgrading image 0% then on the pc i get error 262!! and thats as far as i got please can some1 help thankyou so much

When running the ROM update utility I get this notification after 1% completing:
ERROR[244]: INVALID MODEL ID
This Update Utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone. Please check your
Update Utility.

ps. Because of the fact that the updater runed to 1% already I cannot get into my old ROM anymore. So I only can get in the USB or SERIAL bootloader by pressing camera/reset......

Don't Panic
I Think you are safe because of olipro1.2 spl
1. Take the sim and memory card out
2. Do the hard reset ( Vol down + Reset)
3. run the Michy 2.04 rom 1.2 spl Or Irus 0Pagepool rom
or try Michy's advice
I hope it will resolve the problem.

HARD RESET DON'T WORK!!!!!
Hi Guys,
I've been using the ROM from Michy the R4 edition for some days without experiencing any problem and now it occurs that phone function stoped working for unknown reason ! just like that.
Impossible to enter PIN number the connection manager refuse even to open.
I've tried to install different ROM to see if it could change anything but nothing has changed.
I've also no more description of the RADIO I'am using in the about file.
Please help me to save my lovely brick !

Please download the Michy R4.1 and update it it will work. I had the same problem. My advice is "do not use password or pin while you are testing the new rom"
1. Do a hard reset By Vol Down+ reset hole press
2. Get into boot loader By Camera button pressed + reset hole press until you see the tricolour screen.
3. Then flash R4.1

I tried to install the 4.1 Rom and it loaded well. I had the boot screen where nothing was writen after the "R" of radio and then I went to the frist setting screen. It then asked to reboot to customize and since that moment black screen. The power led is on and nothing more...

I don't understand anything cos I did nothing wrong, no droping, no tweaks, everything was working fine up to some day the phone function stoped working for unknown reason and now I have a black screen.

I have managed to reinstall the ROM from Michy the R4.1 version and it powers on again.
The problem remain the same = no phone function
When I get to Device Information I have nothing writen after Radio version and Protocol version.

I think you have somehow lost your radio or it has become corrupted
Do you have one of the shipped roms?
Try flashing this as i think it includes a radio
even AP3 may have a radio included in the RUU
Flash this while you are in bootloader.
Or you could flash radio 1.58
I've been trying to flash the 1.58 this morning and I was stuck on 0%
I will get to the wiky and try to download the original Rom for my Athena.

i do unlock using HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3 unlocker
in the half of flashing my pc goes off
and phone cant flash now.
i cant do HSPL for write any rom .so i need to flash official rom but i cant find that.
Now phone can go in bootloader mode but cant turn on fully and hang on windows logo.
When i go in bootloader is same this

you must hard reset device and try to Flash ROM again ,,,
for official Rom you can get in http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model=Hermes

I also try many rom from there and all of them have a Invalid Vender ID error

But it cant find device
The Update Utility cannot connect to your PDA
