Can me anybody tell me, how Can I do a manual master reset? I know, in the Settings is item for Master reset, but I cant get to the system. Thx for any help...

Here is how to hard reset the Qtek 500, imate SmartFlip or Dopod S300.
Method #1:
You can just navigate to Clear Storage in your StartMenu, enter 1234 as indicated, then allow the phone to go thru the process.
Method #2
1) Turn Phone Off.
2) Press and hold the two soft Keys at the same time.
3) Turn the phone on (dont let go of the soft keys.
4) When the screen turns on, immediately release the soft keys.
5) A black screen should come up with white text stating to press 0 to reset device...any other key to exit.

Are the soft keys the two at the top of the keypad? If so then this hard reset method doesn't work with my phone!
All the items from my start menu have disappeared so I can't use the first method - can anyone help?

Softkey 1 is above the green button and softkey 2 is above the red.
hy !,
on my qtek 8500 press an hold the two soft keys, turn on the device ( just one press on/off ) but continue to press the two soft keys, wait few seconds and a black screen turn on " press send to hard reset or another key to quit " ( send key it's the green one ! ) and now you have your hard reset !

Hello @ all,
i installed GB_Rocks V3 on my Xperia U. Whenever I boot into CWM (CWM Touch v5.5.0.4) i cant navigate with touch-buttons.
It only work with vol+/- and power button.
I can confirm an entry but never can get back in the menu because there is no entry (return)
Is it necessary tu update cwm - if yes, how should i do that or is there an other way to make it work?

I have a Tablet Z with locked bootloader, was on rooted stock 4.1.2. Did the update to 4.2.2 with PC Companion, and after reboot my pin code does not work anymore. Strange?!
Anyway, I can not find a way to hard reset my Tablet Z, all guides I can find point to the reset settings but they are of no use since my PIN code does not work. I can not do a recovery with PC Companion either since it is PIN code locked.
I am very thankful for any ideas how to solve this.

Thanks, but I can find no way to enter this combination, since this is not a phone, the emergency call option is missing.
Solved!
At my third attempt with Sony Update Service (the standalone update software) the firmware reset was successfull.

Go into contacts > settings. At the bottom of the screen (above the bar with the back/home keys), tap and hold on the empty area for about 5 seconds. A new button will appear which opens up a dialer and lets you enter the key combination

Didn't know that, thanks! That could be useful, although wouldn't have helped me because my tablet was pin locked.

You may use the hidden RESET key (in hole) for menu navigating and item selection or connect USB HID keyboard to HeadUnit
Hi !
I ran though an issue this morning:
When I turned on my phone (a PLK-L01), there was no keyboard to unlock the phone... So I can't type my password...
What I've tried :
- Factory reset though : power + VolUp at startup => but I got a beautiful "Getting package info failed"...
- Disconnect the battery => Doesn't help
I can go into the rescue mode (my phone is said to be unlocked, but I don't know how to use that information... )
Any idea to get perform a reset, or to find back my keyboard ?
