operator code proximus - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Hello,
i'm trying to find out the operator code of the belgian operator Proximus. Anyone here that can give me the code? I've already tried getdevicedata.exe, but the only thing i can see is my rom version (i've included the file). Also backing up the rom and using a hex editor gave some unreadable chars.
Thanks in advance

Hi guys,
apparently I was using GetDeviceData.exe instead of HimaGetDeviceData.exe. Using the latter all went fine.

Working Solution for 'DEAD', 'DOWNGRADE' TMobile 1.72 to ANY

After spending around 12 hours and making a wasteful trip down to Accord, I have managed to figure out to downgrade XDA 2 from 1.72 Tmobile to any ROM. It works for the Radio and CE rom and finally the ms_.nbf.
Here's how to do it for the CE and Radio ROM.
You can get any ROM, 1.60, 1.52, etc etc. Making use of ER2003edit, and now the tricky part.
1) Launch the program
2) Open the ROM NK.NBF
3) Delete the Device ID and Language ID, leave only the Carrier Device as 02 or Tmobile or CDL or Qtek (Depends on the time you flash the 1.72)
4) Save the ROM
5) Do the same for the Radio_.nbf and ms_.nbf
6) Lanuch the upgrade program
I am not liable for any damages caused to your XDA II, I research out of goodwill and I do not entertained any people calling me up and start to bombard me with comments.
1.72 Beta ROM
No working for my device!
I have MDA II with;
1.72 ROM
1.6 Bootloader
I'd get back to 1.66 ROM, but if a try above solution I get CE Error.
I tried with different ROMs (1.66-1.60) but I get always the same errors.
Only if I reupgrade witn 1.72 ROM with above solution I can have a working MDA II.
Any suggestion?
Thanks.
Hi,
Can you give me more details of your problem, like a screen captured of the problem.
What are the changes made?
I will try my best to help, as I have done the downgrading this way more than once with variation of ROM.
1.72 Beta ROM
Thanks notepad!
Long story is mine..
The German MDA II was already with Italian OS and I had to replace it with English or German OS, for to send it to service (the LCD display is white).
So I try to replace the OS after editing the ROM.
On the check version I got no error, but upgrade failed for ID error and went to Bootloader.
After that if I try to change the OS I get always ID errors (5-5-PH-PH-PH).
Also I tried with 1.72 ROM and upgrade went well.
But I still need to put on the device a official upgrade and not a beta ROM, before to send it to service.
Now with 1.60 or 1.66 ROM upgrade I get ID errors (3-3-PH-PH-PH), if I try your solution I get CE ROM error or if I try other solutio the problem doesn't change.
Above solution works only for the 1.72 ROM but if I don't cancel Operator and language with ER2003edit I wouldn't be able to upgrade with the 1.72 ROM too.
Hope to be clearly anoff.
Ciao.
It's weird, I do not encounter such incident before. All along I have issue to flash back 1.72 TMobile and others if I am on TMobile 1.72 beta, the beta rom causes the DeviceID, Language to be trancated and hence not able to recongise any ID ROM.
I will need to research more, till then I am not able to help you in this case, I apologise.
It worked
I've just downgraded from ruu172104wwe to RUU166150WWE (orange dk edition with the above mentioned edits) and it worked. Thank you very much notepad.
I am glad it work for you.
It worked for me. Its the first line that you only have to remove. "PH10".
That is if you have the DEVICE ID error.
Just wanted to say that I used "notepads" solution for downgrading to go from the t-mobile rom 1.72 to the new official i-mate rom and it has worked perfectly. Thanks for the idea...I took the risk and it worked (though this does not mean it will work for others!).
I have successful upgrade from 1.72 Tmob Beta to 1.72 Imate using notepad method, and it works.
This is the deviceData, txt I got from my XDA II using HimaGetDeviceData.exe
U S B 3 2 1 . 7 2 . 0 0 W W E
P H 1 0
C D L
W W E
1 . 7 2 . 1 0 4
1 . 1 4 . 0 0
while flashing the system chrashed.
so i got stuck with my mda,
can someone help me.
the display shows V 1.02

Hi Andreas,
but you have a GER version of the QTek 2020 – dont you ?
If not - did you also change the language ID?
Which version of the ROM and Radio, etc. does your device show now – after the upgrade?
Do you use your QTek as a BB client or not?

You've altered your IMEI... Nobody will help you. It's illegal in the UK.
Having said that, though, I was planning to upgrade to WM2k5. Maybe i'll leave it as it is for the moment...
I am not change my IMEI but when i upgrade to wm2005 i find my IMEI changed i dont know who
and my XDA II it was work with out any problem
I hope to find some one help me here
The imei would not change by flashing rom, what makes you think it has?
What exactly happens when you insert O2 sim, do you get signal, can you dial out, what tone if any do you get, what is the signal level? Have you tried the o2 sim in another phone just in case it has become faulty. Can you ring the xda phone when o2 sim is inserted, what message does the calling phone get?
I don't know any thing in the XDA to change my IMEI
any way this my XDA pic I hope u can help me
i see this one he have the same my problem

I’ve been sent as a gift from my friend in Spain a new i-mate windows mobile pocket pc phone edition – HTC Himalayas Model PH10B. It did not come with a SIM card.
On starting for the first time (booting in English) it then immediately went on to “personalize” itself (in Spanish) and seemed to set to Vodafone (with a spanish CDS number and airtel.es I think for ISP services)?
I obviously want to use it with a UK network SIM card (I would prefer to use my contract O2 SIM)
I installed Outlook 2002 from the companion CD (ver 1.0 sept 2003), then downloaded and installed ActivSync 3.8. The device connects no problem to my desktop computer (winXP) via USB and my Outlook Contacts etc synchronize to the device OK.
I used the xda2ulock.exe v2.2 tool which now tells me that everything is "unlocked".
I tried to flash upgrade the ROM using O2 xdaII ROM’s with no success. I also tried to flash/upgrade the ROM to version: 1.72.00wwe and Radio version: 1.14.00 by downloading RUU172126WWE_imate.exe and RUU172800WWE_CDL_SKU1.exe from the Club i-mate web site. The main ROM refused to upgrade, (I tried twice) stalling with the Country ID error message and leaving the device in the Serial/USB bootloader v1.06 grey screen. Fortunately the Extended ROM (RUU172800WWE_CDL_SKU1.exe) recovered the device so that I now at least have: -
ROM version: 1.66.00WWE
ROM date: 02/02/04
Radio version: 1.10.00
Protocol version: 1337.18
ExtROM version: 1.72.800
and an i-mate screen.
Device Data returns the following information: -
U S B 3 2 - 1 . 6 6 . 0 0 W W E - P H 1 0 - C D L - W W E - 1 . 7 2 . 8 0 0 - 1 . 1 0 . 0 0
Using a Vodafone UK SIM card, the phone send/receives texts, connects to the Internet and detects all other UK Networks when searching manually. However, it will not receive or send any phone calls, even though the signal strength indicator shows all thermometer bars (4) OK and the “G” icon appears next to Vodafone UK under “connectivity”. (The device just doesn’t want to know my O2 SIM card – won’t do anything!)
Now I discover that when dialing *#06# the IMEI number shown (which matches Settings/System/Device Information/Identity) is not the same IMEI number as shown on the packaging label and the silver label inside the device behind the battery!

Follow the instructions for using the xda2nbftool (available from this website... Use the search function) to alter the ROM image files country and operator codes to the same as your PDA. Your rom images should load then.
If they don't, then i'm afraid i'm no more help. It worked for me, so I never got to fool around with problems that can occur (Running o2 ROM on Orange SPV M1000, as my sig says).
DeathJester thank u for ur reply but its still no work with O2
please I need Help
Midn, telephone O2 and present them with that imei number, ask them to check if it blocked for some reason.

Upgrading XDAII rom in Australia

I have an XDAII, Model PH10B, Rom Ver 1.66.00WWE, Date 02/20/04, Radio 1.08.00. I have looked for ROM updates on the OS site, the message it seems is that overseas upgrade exist, but none for Australia. Can someone please advise.

ROM Upgrade For Aust
Yep I'm looking too . Have been doing research for the last 2 hours and it seems the one we need is 1.72.187. I can't find it yet but will keep looking. Some Guys have done changes to 1.72.181 but the 187 seems top be the best one to load without problems. If we can find one that's been modified to remove the UK O2 symbol from the start bar and some of the UK Active stuff then we'll be set. Let me know if you find it before me.
New Zealand Settings
My i-mate is using the following, since it is the same model, all that might differ is the service provider settings.
Rom : 1.72.00WWE
Rom date : 03/15/04
Radio : 1.14.00
ExtRom : 1.72.861
Flash chip type : 28F128K3
Model No. : PH10B
These settings are factory, I have not yet flashed the device.

Basically I want to reflash it to the latest suitable ENGLISH Windows 2003 SE ROM. I tought that I could reflash it without learning how to use the complex upgrade tools just by downloading O2 WWE 1.72 update, but when I ran it it complained that there is a country ID error and did nothing.
So I need an advice on:
1) Which Windows, Radio and Extended ROM is should use in my situation (Coutry: Russia, Operator: BEE LINE)
2) What tools would I need to back everything up?
I used OSImageTool.exe, but when I try to load the resulting 32 Mb file with Windows Mobile 2003 ROM Editor it asked me a password (which of course I don't know) and didn't open it.
Please point me out to the relevant threads with correct ROM download links and upgrade instructions for those ROMs.
Thanks in advance,
--Yury.
Well, it seems that I figured out how to do it. I downloaded the package from:
http://www.my-xda.com/xda2.html
Then I copied the files apart and edited the ROM with the ROM editor for it to think that it's T-Mobile German ROM. It didn't give me any errors and upgraded without any problems. Yay!
Thanks guys for your excellent utilities.
