Can someone here help me how to restore my erased wallaby bootloader? Please It's been a month since it was erased, I was flashing my device when the sdcard card was accidentally pop out from the slot, so the wallaby was erased . Some kind heart plsssss...
a million thanks in advance....

I think there aren't much solutions.
Is your device completly dead? No Boootloader, No OS booting?
Only possibility would be playing a bit with jtag. Take a look at the wiki for it (but i suppose getting professional support woould be better)

Unable to read ROM from SD card

Hope someone can help, i tried to upgrade without reading all the info here and the battery died, silly me. I can enter bootloader , save rom to SD, and when re-entering bootloader it will see this rom and and reinstall from it. I need to put a complete new rom on the SD card but every time i try this it doesnt see it within bootloader, do i have it in the wrong format? are there any tips/tricks etc? Ive used XDAtools and XDArit to no avail, the bootloader just wont see the file on there. I'm presuming that i have it in the wrong format somehow.
Cheers, Gary
What for SD-Card Writer are you using? Many internaly make big problems.
Stefan

Many thanks, cant believe that a different card reader can make so much difference. I have other problems now but ive seen a post somewhere that deals with it.

please help, phone got too full and now won't load, i think

i have a clients p4000 that was showing 0mb free storage memory. he tried adding some contacts and appointments via ppcpimbackup. after trying to reset the phone it now does not load past the telus startup screen, nothing!! there are many important business #'s that we need to recover.
the only thing i could think of is forcing it into boot loader, unlocking it with olipro, and installing a new radio in hopes that for somereason it will load up past this telus startup screen.
before you start in with any sarcastic comments on this having nothing to do with this or that, keep in mind that i have no idea of what will actually work and just need some good advice on what to try that may actually work
thankyou in advance for any pointers
Sadly I can only say he might end up in a situation where he can only chalk it up and rebuild it all from scratch. I don't know how you can boot it up in that state.
Why did he let it get to 0MB Free? No storage card?

+1 on this.....no matter what remedy you come up with to get the OS working....I do not think you are going to recover them....recommendation though tell him to always store PIM on the storage card from now on...
damn, figured it was a lost cause, but it can't hurt hoping for a surprise solution.

[Q] The phone randomly freezes!?

Hi all!
I know that there's a lot of threads with questions similar to mine but after reading many of them I can't really find an answer.
So as my problem suddenly just appeared a few days ago, I'm taking the chance of some good feedback from you guys and girls!
The problem is that my sweetheart suddenly freezes, the screen is on but nothing happens and the only thing to do is to make a hard reset with the power button.
This issue started happening just a few days ago.
The phone is rooted and i'm flashing new roms almost every day.
I'm not exactly sure of which rom I was using when the problem first occurred but it might have been DlevROM2 v.2.1.1...? But like I said before, i'm flashing and testing a lot so I might be wrong!
I've now just done a full reset and flashed the latest CyanogenMod v.7.1.0 but after a few minutes "my darling" freezed.
Does anyone know why she keeps doing this to me?
I really love her and would like to have her back the way she was before....reliable and simply amazing!
Please!
Best regards!

I'm not an expert in this, but try flashing a stock rom just to see if the problem is still happening, if it still happens try formatting your phone from settings > Storage > format SD card and phone. Make a backup in your PC or .. you can wait for an expert to help you in this thread
Edit: Make sure ur phone isn't undervolted

Thanks for the feedback PunkOz!
I will absolutely try that tomorrow!
While sitting here hoping for some answers I actually began thinking of the internal sd and my ext sd and all the data that they have been dealing with lately. Maybe it's like you say, a formatting of them both might be a very good idea!
I use the ext sd first and foremost for my Titanium Backups and I restore/backup a lot so it might be corrupted or just in need of a fresh start.
Thanks again!
Time for bed here in Sweden but I appreciate every thought/answer to my problem!
See you all tomorrow!
Hi again!
I don't know if the problem i totally solved but it appears to be!
I've formatted both of my sd-cards (int and ext) and removed some stuff that I wasn't using. This seems to have help me with the occasionally freezing!
So thank u PunkOz!

JTAG?

There's a guy over at the official Motorola support forum with a sad problem that really could have bitten any of us at some point... he naively saved everything to the internal flash, then his phone got messed up and can no longer boot into Android. Motorola told him he has to do a factory reset, which will reformat everything, including /sdcard and the data in it (hmmm. Will it really? That does seem kind of harsh & extreme, but I can see them doing it.)
I *know* he could almost certainly pull the data off with a little help from a JTAG programmer (if only because he could probably use it to write something like Clockworkmod onto the phone, then boot into it and use THAT to copy /sdcard to an external card's /sdcard-ext), but the Photon seems to be hardcore virgin JTAG territory. I haven't even been able to find so much as a commented teardown pic with an arrow saying, "These are the JTAG testpoints", let alone something like a RIFF box with official support for the Photon. Does anybody have any ideas?
Is this the english language? I don't understand any of that lol. I have a buddy who jtags xbox's but thats it lol. Im limited to cooking roms and compiling from source. No experience to help you but ill be following this thread to learn a thing or 2.
Can you link us to the thread on the official forums?
From what you have told us, I can't figure out much. Is the phone not booting? Or is it hanging at the bootloader? Or is it stuck a the boot animation? Or is it crashing after loading the homescreen?
Basically, how much of the phone is still functional?
If the phone can still get to bootloader, put it in RSD mode. Then run RSD Lite with the same SBF version as the one thats on his phone. This will reflash the system.img, recovery, bootloader, etc, but should allow him to keep his apps and settings.
Oh, and the I believe the lesson learned here is to use Titanium Backup to backup everything on the SD card (the real sd card, not the fake internal one). TB backups everything short of the ROM and recovery/bootloader (you need a NANDroid for that). It will get his contacts, apps, data, wifi points etc.
I have flashed sbf and reset through the privacy menu. It will not clear the internal storage. There is a separate option to clear it. Not sure if they want him to clear it a different way.

Here's the relevant thread, in case anybody can put him in touch with somebody who has the equipment and expertise to do the job: https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/59942
According to my research, the Photon 4G uses a MDM6600 (according to posts in various forums). You can find the data sheet for that chip by Googling "80-Vr001-1" (I can't post links yet). It has some JTAG info in it.
If I'm not mistaken, I think the early iPhone unlocks were found by locating the JTAG pins on the radio chip, then following the circuit on the phone's PCB to find where to solder in to.
Wow
I have JTAG routers and those are easy, but a phone is much smaller in size.
All I can say is good luck -
did anyone find the correct jtag points for the board?

[Q] is it possible to recover file after a Factory reset?

hello dear friends, i had to do a factory reset to my samsung galaxy S4 and wasnt able to backup any data before that.
im pretty unexpirienced when it comes to this whole smartphone thing , and my only question is, if there is any way to recover some of the lost data?!
i have tried running programms like Dr fone and others i could google for, sadly without a single recovered file.
i have also contacted the samsung and dr fone support and multiple other websites who offer the same service, they gave me kinda mixed answeres , some said "our software cannot recover any data from the internal memory after a factory reset" (the dr fone support said, their old tool could , but their new one cannot, which confused me abit to be honest cause they advertise on their site with being able to do so)
other supports from other websites with similar tools (yodot or jihi software i think it was, also contacted easeUS cannot recall what they said tho) said "you have to root your phone before trying to run our software"
my first question would be, arent those tools working after a factory reset to the internal memory (not just a SD card) at all, or would i have to root my phone so that those Data Recovery Programms to work properly?!
if those programms arent able recover any data after a Factory reset, can anyone here maybe think of another way on how to do it ????
there are Data Recovery Companies i have called, which said they had a pretty good success rate on lost files after factory resets aswell, but they were very expensive and i would love to know how they are going about recovering the data? and if couldnt do what they do maybe myself?!
i have no problem with learning abit new stuff, and have it even be a pain in my ass to get it done, im just very curious how to do it? (im pretty sure there has to be multiple ways, i just only spoken to very uninformed people at this point)
i really hope someone here can give me some advice on what to do or just point me into the direction of a method which could work for my issue
