Hope someone can help, i tried to upgrade without reading all the info here and the battery died, silly me. I can enter bootloader , save rom to SD, and when re-entering bootloader it will see this rom and and reinstall from it. I need to put a complete new rom on the SD card but every time i try this it doesnt see it within bootloader, do i have it in the wrong format? are there any tips/tricks etc? Ive used XDAtools and XDArit to no avail, the bootloader just wont see the file on there. I'm presuming that i have it in the wrong format somehow.
Cheers, Gary
What for SD-Card Writer are you using? Many internaly make big problems.

16gb Nook Tablet. Internal NookOS has never been messed with. I've been running CM7 from the SD card. The CM7 crashes a lot because of my SD card and apparently that's messed up the NookOS and now I can't boot back into the internal. I've tried the step-by-step Unbrick from the thread here and that didn't work. It keeps going back to "Please Restart Your Device...".
Any ideas?
I am of no help but can offer one thing
hey I am having a similar problem, mine nt stopped working (spontaneously started trying to factory restore and failing over and over) then I booted off sd, cm7 for a while.

You might want to keep an eye on the topic I posted today as well see if anyone has some help
Thanks. I thought about piggybacking on your thread, but then I decided against it. We are having similar problems. I guess we should keep an eye on each others threads.

Please tell us what you tried. .
I would recommend a CWM Recovery placed onto a ( good ) spare SD Card and boot it up ( from an 'off' condition ) by plugging in the power to the usb port.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21895025&postcount=14
.
or how about a "a clockwork mod backup of stock rooted" ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1495869
.
And thoroughly read and ask questions. The worst thing to do is NOT ask a question.
Thanks for replying. This is what I tried...

ah, and did you read this thread ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1610682
it was at the top of a google search.
I did check that out. Since it involved having rooted the internal and using CWM I kinda figured it might not apply to my situation.
I'm going to try the Ubuntu method. I'm downloading the image now. I didn't realize it's over a gig! Gonna take a few hours.
Any alternate links? This one is slow as heck.
I have read several times that the 'Ubuntu Method' does not work if you got bad ( goofed up ) partitions.

Isn't that the method you recommended before? Any other advice?
Edit: I suppose you didn't recommend it, you just pointed me at that thread. Not trying to insinuate you gave me bad advice.
I need help! Recently i have found ways to swap out internal and external sd card so i can download bigger games files on my phone. But i ended up partially bricking my phone! I have change my vold.fstab and after rebooting my phone, i went to access "My Files". But, the phone says "No SD Card Inserted". I tried to change it back but i found out that i forgot to backup the original vold.fstab. Now i can't even access it through my computer to change it back. I really need someone who is experience to help me out of this! I tried hard reset and factory reset. This is a new phone so i hope i don't have to get a hell out of beating from my mum.:crying:
P.S. i am using Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 <Rooted>

Extract a stock ROM of your device, and replace the void.fstab on your device with the one in the zip.
This should do it.

Regarding what you said, you say to extract stock ROM of my device and replace the void.fstab with the one in the zip? Can i please know how to do it. Maybe the steps on how to do so or a video. And i still can't access SD Card. Thanks alot!
Hello all, I am looking for a little advice. I'll give as much backstory as possible:
I used the cyanogenmod one click installer, everything went well. Since the one click installer put twrp on I went and put clockworkmod on since im more familure with it. Everything fine restarted and phone worked however after I installed (attempted to install facebook messeger) the device rebooted and would not come back on. Sat for 5 mins vibrating over and over and over. Its not completely dead I am able to get to recovery and to download mode and believe I just had a bad download/install. Since i have Clockworkmod on here, I am thinking I could just install the most up to date stable rom available but I have a question:
How do I put the rom zip files on phone if phone wont come on.
Any advice towards this would be appreciated.
First off, where did you find a cyanogenmod one click installer? Possibly that was not meant for the I717.
Don't you have an external micro sd card? Place the card in your computer and copy the ROM zip to it. Put it back in your phone and use it to flash.

Thanks for reporting back that everything is up and running. Not many people do. Can you do me one more favor? Can you change the title to include [solved] please. This way people with similar problems will know this thread may solve their situation.
Thanks

Sure, I'm not sure why no one comes back if people take the time to reply and help them, a thank you is the least they could do.
There are ways to switch the download trajectory to my SD card but it still will not work. For whatever reason I can't create a file, move files or do anything with my card. I have tried over ten things and I got it to work one time but I forgot how and I've flashed a lot since then so I was hoping someone might have an effective method we could all benefit from. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Yes download this app called Folder Mount. Run app. Grant super user rights. It will patch your system. Then reboot and you should be all good. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount

I believe you have to format the sd-card as FAT32.
use an adapter / card reader on a PC
copy all your files off to a PC
format it FAT32
copy your files back
put it back in your phone.
Could you point me to the new miui rom for the sprint note 3? Searching has led me nowhere...
Edit:
I think I found it. Sorry, I don't post much for this exact reason...

actually the fastest way to find something, is to ask for help looking for it and BOOM you find it yourself.
Its a tried and true method.
yeah its set to fat32 my recovery picks it up fine its just the rom wont do it at all
The only version I found was this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-miui-v5-galaxy-note-3-t2816410
Is this the version you are all referring to? If so how did you get it to work? I can't get gps and am not able to hang up phone calls.
thats the right one you just have to put in to where the phone doesnt turn off the screen i dont use my gps a lot or have sense i got it so im not sure about the gps
