Can anyone tell me how it is possible to switch between 2 different BT headset profile.
Everytime I switch my BT , I had to make to delete the current profile and search again before i can use.

Hi,
I use my iMate Startrek with a set of a2dp headphones (the iMuffs), and I have to manually tell the phone to connect to the iMuffs using a2dp through the "Set as wireless stereo" option in the settings, can this be done automatically?
Another thing is that if I get a call while listening to music, the microphone on the headset doesnt work very well, and I have to shout for the person to hear me. I think that the mic in the headset is not being used. Has anybody had this problem and solved it?
Does anyone know if there are some registry settings that need to be tweaked to get these problems solved?
Thanks a lot.
I use an itech s38 and doesn't have a problem with the mic.
I do have problems with automatic connections.
after setting up properly, if the headset gets disconnected,
the next time it reconnects by itself is always on the headset profile
and mostly only connects if i make a call
So even when no indicator is shown I would assume that seconds
before ther call is answered the sound would be transfered to the headset
that's not so much of a problem
what really sickens me is that if i wanted to
listen to music via the headset when headset profile is connected
i would have to
1.hit the stick once to go to comm manager
2.hit "2" to turn off BT
3.exit to make sure action is done
4.hit center to go to comm manager again
5.hit "2" turn it on (making sure it doesn'ty connects to headset profile first)
6.hit Settings to go to BT settings (hit one or enter to getto that's two presses)
4.hit menu
5.hit devices
6.hit menu
7.hit set as wireless stereo
8.hit done
9.hit done again
10.hit exit
11.hit start
12.hit windows media
13.mess another big while in windows media playlists
..........
now that's too much ... many places i could use the home button
to exit quickly .. that's not what's frustating
what i need actually is a shortcut to the BT devices page
and a smarter profile to connect to wireless stereo for me
without having to turn off headset profile first
I am using HP Stereo Bluetooth headset with my QTEK 8500. It works fine besides the reconnection. If I turn the headset off in order to reconnect I have to go to the BT settings and set the headset to Stereo Headset again. I beleive your problem ocurs because your headset is also a handsfree headset, which HP is not.
I do beleive this behaviour is by design. Although I do not seen to understand the logic behind it.
I use my bluetooth headset all the time, but, my cingular 3125 will not let me change to another profile. Is there a way to use the headset and still be able to swap profiles from normal to quiet?

Click to collapse
Have you tried editing your Headset profile (Start - settings - profiles - headset - Menu - edit)?
I can edit the headset profile, however, it is easier to change profiles when you want as opposed to having to re-edit all the settings. Thanks.
If you are connected to the headset, then you really won't be able to change the profile until you have powered the headset down (i.e. you'll need to sever the connection between the phone and the headset). You could, however, go quickly into Comm Manager and simply turn the BT headset connection off. This should revert the profile back to Normal and you can change from there.
Hi bro's wanna thank everyone here for their hard work on getting A2DP to our hermes....
Anyway I wanna ask is there any quick way to switch from A2DP (wireless stereo) and back to mauybe normal "hands-free" ?? this is cause in wireless stereo, the phone does not ring, and lets say i am not using my bt and forgot to unpair, then i dont know its ringing..so do help
Just go to Bluetooth Settings, tap & hold your headset in the list then choose both Set as Wireless Stereo and Set as Handsfree. Voila. The ringtone is then played on the main speakers as well as on the headset. If any music is playing it will be paused and automatically resumed when you hang up.
Good day.
In my car I have a bluetooth handsfree kit (Sony Ericsson HCB-400) with microphone and conversation through car stereo. It says in the instruction manual for the HCB-400 it supports both handsfree profile and headset profile.
Does this mean I can use the handsfree system to broadcast music over the car speakers through bluetooth?
In that case, how am I able to change the connection profile for the HCB-400 on my phone? Only option I get is "use for phone audio", wich is checked. Didn't do any difference.
Any ideas?
Not sure if it helps, but just pairded the Hero today with my newly purchased Bluetooth Car stereo...
After pairing etc. On starting Bluetooth on Hero, it automatically connects to stero and plays tunes etc. (provided I swtich to the correct Source on the Stereo). If I then try and make a call from the Hero, the Stereo automatically changes mode and works in Phone Mode. On ending the call it goes back to audeo mode.
So in principle, it can be handled seamlessly, but can't say for your own instance.
Easiest option is to just try it and see what happens...

Thank you for the reply!
I understand that you have a car stereo with integrated BT handsfree? In my case, a handsfree kit is mounted on top of the original stereo in my -03 Nissan Micra. Do you have any more options than I do if you long-press the actual BT connection in settings?
Hi,
Yes the stereo itself has bluetooth support...
On the Hero, if I go to bluetooth settings and Long Tap on the actual device connection itself, then I get to a screen that shows both audio and phone profiles with seperate selectable tick boxes.
Both were already ticked...

i recently started using a bluetooth headset with my device (non branded from ebay but works great)
the problem is that all the sound is directed through bluetooth. for simple things like dialing a number, it creates the conection and redirect the keynote. the result is having lags when clicking buttons whice produce sound.
i sometimes use the headset to listen to music, but all other times it's just as handsfree (during call)
most of the time i only need the handsfree profile active
my questions are:
is there a way to switch between all media redirection to handsfree only.
can i somehow select which profiles will be active?
using i9100-GT with jellybam 9.2 (CM 10.1.2)
thx
