backlight - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

backlight doesn't work. I bought this unit used. It doesn't respond to the software so i assume it is a hardware problem. Does anyone know how to fix or replace it??? :

Tried Start>Settings>Backlight with the right options ?

many people dont know that if you hold down the on off button for awhile
you toggle the backlight

For instance: I didn't know. Thanks.

Please May Someone Help Me

Hello,
My QTek's Buttons all don't work! None of them even volume (cept the 2 phone ones). I have the QTek 1010
ROM=3.16.13
ENG Radio 3.19.01.
Please someone give me any advice on how to fix this. I have done a hard reset many times with no change.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Has no one heard of anything like this b4? Please someone reply.
i really dunno what happen to you but you can try assigning the hardware buttons again;
Start -> Settings -> Buttons - > assign your buttons.
Hope this helps.
Perhaps a silly question, but the buttons do not work when the Qtek is on ?
In my case the Contacts and Calender buttons are disabled when off, so I cannot switch the XDA on by accident.
Do you still feel the click when pressing the buttons ? Just to verify the buttons are not physically defect.
HTH,
Peter.

Battery drain by accidental in-pocket key-presses

Does have anyone similar problem?
I figured out that my backlight goes ON very often while I carry my S740 in the pocket. It's because ANY key can turn on backlight while phone is locked up.
I don't really like this behaviour and would like to set it up somehow so only some key could light up backlight. Best solution for me would be:
Power button: Turn backlight instantly off and lock the keys (I have it set up this way already by AE Button)
Power button again: Turn backlight on and unlock the phone
However, I can't really find any good solution, and I guess it's not even possible.
Any ideas?

HELP! Vibrate On Touch NOT working

Hello everyone, I just got done rooting my HTC one and I love the haptic feedback when I hit a button. After rooting it though, the haptic feedback doesn't seem to work. Also the capacitive buttons don't seem to light up anymore. Any ideas on what the problem is? I already tried restarting the phone and unchecking and checking the vibrate to touch button. Thanks
Check power saver for vibration and cover two sensors on top grill for capacitive buttons

Maybe proximity sensor is faulty. You can use power button to end call in the mean time. Enable the option from dialer settings or Accessibility settings.

power button also not working to end up call so do you think it is hardware problem? New ROM will not solve it out?

[Q] How to fully switch powerbutton function to homebutton

Hi,
I`ve got a problem with my Galaxy s3. The powerbutton is broken. Now my mobile starts and, much worth, shut down randomly (or is hanging in a bootloop). I don`t want to repair the hardware as I get a new phone in a month.
Could anyone give me a hint where I can move the whole function from powerbutton to homebutton and finally how to disable the powerbutton completely?
My Device is rooted and I have already disabled the soft buttons because I enabled the onscreen buttons. So I know roughly how to change those things but in this case I don`t know where exactly. There are several "power" in the "generic.kl" file. But not sure which one is the right and more important: how to move the function to homebutton.
If anyone could give me a hint Than I would be more than grateful
Thanks, Sven

Hi Sven I can help kind of if you wanted you could turn the power button fucntion off completely while the phone is on to prevent the function to be used but you cant map the functions used by the power button to the home button as far i know if you want to not use the power button while the phone is on you can use this Java code if this might help......
Java
<
KeyguardManager keyguardManager = (KeyguardManager) getSystemService(Activity.KEYGUARD_SERVICE);
KeyguardManager.KeyguardLock lock = keyguardManager.newKeyguardLock(KEYGUARD_SERVICE);
lock.disableKeyguard();
<
and then In Manifest File give this permission inside application tag
<
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.DISABLE_KEYGUARD"></uses-permission>
<
hope this can be used by you.
Wow, thank you so much! This is a good solution for now. I'll give it a try at this weekend and give feedback. I'm on my way right now.
If anyone else knows another way I would appreciate those ideas too. Thanks!
