Hi All,
first post and a newbie, I tried upgrading my XDA2 with the latest update from O2 (ver1.72). I followed there instructions to the letter but on stage 1 it got to about 39% then stops and comes up with the following error, (Error 112: CE ROM Error). I have tried this countless times and it comes up with the same error. Has anyone had the same problem and how did you come over this. Also if so can you tell me how you did this. thaks in advance for your help.

I tryied to update the Ext ROM, my XDAII, and when finished, I hardreset as guide... My XDAII dead... I cant turn on the XDAII or reach it in anyway., and the display just says "Serial v1.02" all the time..
What can I do now?

I have a question: If "Country ID is wrong"???
After failed update Ive decided to go back to 1.66 imate rom ( my device is imate) but whenever I try to do it it gives me error ERROR 100 - deivce ID error. imate stuck in bootlader.

C'mon people, help me out here. I've tried all roms 1.52 original, tmobile, o2 - they all give me this error! Is there a way to avoid device ID checking?
Becare full you guys!! This ROM is FULL of ****!! Upgrade is OKEY!! But DOWNGRADE or STUCK in the MIDDLE while you UpGrade it, YOU WILL GET MODEL ID ERROR!! THAT"S FREAK!! Now my XDAII is DEAD!! itsme already try to help me with program language, but i donno using what and from where? And with what kind of tools? Any body wanna HELP me out here?

My first post for a while, and a slight tale of woe... I've got a second Hermes, a Vodafone v1605 variant, and I was carrying out the ROM upgrade to the latest HTC ROM like I did with Hermes no.1, firstly I flashed the hacked Radio ROM and then applied HTC_Hermes_SIM_Unlock_V2a, all ran successfully with no issues...
When I attempted to run the ROM upgrade, an error occurred at about 8% complete, and since then, all attempts to re-flash the ROM have failed. I've done extensive reading of posts on XDA-Developers, and tried all the suggestions on the Wiki so far with no luck, all I get is Error [294] Invalid Vender....
Using MTTY and running info 2, I don't get a CID returned at all.... I'm attaching a trace file from USB monitor in the hopes that someone may be able to help!

I am using vista and I was trying to flash my phone to the one provide by 3g in Australia. I updated the usb driver. During the update process someone unplugged the cable!!!!!
Now my phone doesn't pass the windows mobile logo and be able to get in the boot loader mode. Is my phone dead? I tried that rom again it says error 294 invalid vender id. I also tried to upgrade it to wm6 but always get 262 update error which says communication error.
Any help???

In this thread I have summarized my problems - and there was a procedure to fix it (at least for me) - it will take some hours to get everything DL and installed & compiled
When you need it I could describe more detailed what I did after I got my phone back to live via KITL
