Hi all,
Looking for bad XDAs motherboards out there. My XDA's Headphone jack has gone bad and I want to replace it. Perhaps a headphone jack from a bad motherboard could be replaced. Let me know if some one has a bad motherboard with working haedphone Jack.
Any other suggestions to fix my XDA will also be appreciated.
Regards,
Nabil.

Hi
I just dropped my xda , and I seem to have lost all sound since then. Therefore cant use as a phone anymore .
I plan to take it to a well known phone repair outlet hereabouts, but since this is an entirely different piece of equipment it would probably help if they had a circuit diagram or something, with pointers as to what to look for.
Would anyone be able to help out with this, so that I can then take it to these guys with some indication as to what they should look for and where it is likely to be?
ANY help is welcome.
Hi,
I have had this problem but without dropping it  just using it regularly like a MP3 player in my car thru the jack connector on it (same thing if you are using offten the headphone :?: ). So my problem was on the jack and I fixed it myself with a shortcut, and sence then my sound volume has become even better, suppose it vas galvanized a bit before :?
All the best
First of all thank the Comunity and this site for their tremendous efforts throughout the development of roms, more than once because reading and reading and reading I have resolved all doubts!
I will try to explain as best as possible, to have if anyone can help.
I'm happy owner of a HTC Shift for over two years, which is purchased in a thrift store and everything has been perfect so far.
The problem must be the JACK audio, initially plugging and unplugging the headphones when you restart and some tricks but everything was going perfectly, until one day no longer heard the speakers.
Putting the headphones the sound is coming in windows 7, but in Windows Mobile not heard anything (before it was heard ringing through the headset intense ).... I assume that JACK CONECTOR is a failure, the case is that I have completely dismantled the shift and is the first time I see a JACK of this kind and are not where they compare, ask at several shops in Barcelona and do not know what kind it is.
If somebody could help me or tell me where to buy.
My idea if I fix this problem is put in the hole next to that Jack, another for connecting the headset and microphone and boring windows mobile housing for output and thus be able to use it as mobile and able to speak and hear for the handsfree
Well, if anyone can help me would greatly appreciate it, thank you for your attention and greetings from Spain
Thank you for your attention and greetings to the entire community

Try a different pair of head phones so that you can be certain it is the socket and not the jack.........
If it still happens the its either a build up of crap in the socket or a loose connection, if you can see anything in the socket then try (carefully) to remove it.
Chances are that its a loose connection between the headphone jack and the contacts which you cant really fix without replacing the socket.
Might be covered by warranty, not sure.....
Hope that helps......
Thank you i will ask in nearest repair center if they can fix it

That is not software issue, that is a hardware issue.
How did you break it?
You can try cleaning out the jack port with a tooth pick if there is any lint stuck in there.

Recently I saw that the headphone icon in status bar is still present even after removing the headphone and speaker won't work.......I have tried cleaning the jack but still no success.Any workaround?? Moreover can I clean flash xiaomi.eu from the redwood recovery without any problem??
flash agni kernel.it will solve it.
@ShivamTiwari I think the simple solution to this is to go to a repair shop. As this is a common issue and happens when there's a short circuit near those parts. No need to worry, just go to a repair shop, the guy will fix it in a few minutes, depending on how trained/experienced he is.

There is no short circuit. Dont talk rubbish. It happens coz audio jack is of not good quality. After using earphone multiple times the audio jack contact inside stucks which keeps phone in headphone mode. The old jacks arr flawed. New jacks they brought were good for rn3.
Go to amazon website and buy good audio jack for rn3.

I bought jack from amazon site.
I dismantled main board myself. Took mainboard and jack to nearest mobile shop and got it replaced.
Then reflashed rom again. Now new jack working good.
@Black_Stark Wow man you're so intelligent, I'm mesmerized.
