Hi and thanks for any advice!!!!!!
I bought a qtek2020 off ebay, and when I received the pda it had chinese (OS).
I'm not fluent in chinese or even english for that matter,
so I placed the new WM2005 OS, on the unit and had a difficult time with the unit.
so I found this forum meaning, XDA-Developers, AND (I"M DAMMED GLAD I DID),
anyway I downgraded the pda to (XDA2JoJo.v3.2zs)2003SE.
and the program went through all the (1 through 5) steps, on loading the new (OS), it took about 55 min, to load the new OS, so I thought I was good to go.
now my problem is that when I go to (Device Information) the unit reads,
ROM version: 2.06.00WWE
ROM date: 06/14/04
Radio version: NONE
Protocol ver: NONE
ExtROM ver: XDA2JoJo.v3.2zs
I can not read the (IMEI)# on the unit when I type in (*#06#) it does have the # on the back of the unit under the battery.
I had checked the IMEI# to see if it was blacklisted and the # came up clean and good to go.
The unit will not read the sim card when I put it in, and it does say the unit is unlocked when I ran the XDA2unlock proggy I got from here.
I did do a seach here and either I'm just (stupid) and don't understand, or all of the above.
can someone point me in the right direction to this matter of no (Radio version) and no (Protocol version), and why the unit won't read the sim card?
Thanks in advance'

my BA does the same.
my BA does the same.
If I reset it, it sometimes restart with Radio, ok.

Hi guys, I'm VERY new here
I have a UK Orange SPV M1000 with the following details:
Operator Version: 3.66.1.230
ROM Version: 1.66.00WWE
ROM date: 02/20/04
Radio Version: 1.10.00
Protocol Version: 1337.18
ExtROM version: 1.66.230
I want to upgrade to 2003SE because of what I've read about improved battery, improved BT and widescreen use (and cos I just do )
I've downloaded the ROM and ExtROM from the massive 26 page topic further down the page but ran the .exe and got ERROR 120: country ID error.
Hmmm....
I looked through the forum but to be honest a lot of the stuff went over my head and 30 pages of topic is a lot to read through...
Can someone PLEASE put down a step by step 'idiots' guide to upgrading my ROM with links to relevant things i would need to download/install/whatever
I know I'm asking a lot but it would really help me and I suspect many other people who might look at the forum and leave after a few minutes with spinning heads.
Also, I've not been able to find any posts in reference to the M1000, only O2 branded and original HTC devices. Does this mean I'll have problems connecting to Orange and will need to set up GPRS connections, etc myself?
One more thing.... I have an original Orange 1.66 ROM (downloaded from the Orange UK website). If I mess things up, don't like it, have to send it back to Orange, will i just be able to run that ROM update and everything will go back to how it was?
Phew, long 1st post!
Thanks for reading!!!
I upgraded mine yesterday with the help of a post on getting round the country id, however bluetooth and camera didnt work so had to go back to old rom, so yes you can go backwards.
Hi, I'll try to help you.
Now unrar the files you have. There you'll find "HimaGetDeviceData" file. Copy this one in your PPC.
> Then run it from there. HimaGetDeviceData won't do anything.
> then go to Windows directory and search for file called "Device Data". Copy it to your PC and open it.
there you will found data for your USB, Rom version, this meen 1.66.00wwe, PH10, and the last two are very importaint.
They can be ...
first one O2, Qtek, CDL, TMOBILE. Remember your. This is your Operator.
Second one can be ... WWE, ENG, GER. This is your Language.
After this, you need to download ER2003Edit. You can find it in the forom.
When you install this run the program and open ms_.nbf file first.
You will se the operator and Language. Change them if they are different from yours. ( this is the O2, QTEK, and WWE, ENG ).
Save the ROM file ( CTRL+S ).
Do this with the other two NK.nbf and Radio_.nbf files.
Then run " HimaUpgradeUt " and wait for " Congratulations " and you're ready.
Oh, when you get the Congr... Do hard reset.
(dont wory if you see on the screen of your PPC Radio stack or something like this isupgrading "Please wait" do your hard reset. )
Sorry for the bad English.
If have any questions ask
Hope this will help.
Ok, I have ER2003EDIT installed but when i tried to open ms_.nbf and it said i had the wrong password and asked me to enter one.
Any idea what it could be??
Thanks!
I think that you must not use the autodetect ROM, but the specific filetype: ms_.nbf. This worked for me...
Hi,
I'm trying to make my Vodafone 1605 VPA SuperCID, but when I run HERM_Unlock_v2a.exe I get a Windows error ...not a valid Win32 application.
I'm guessing this is something to do with my laptop hardware because I've had a problem loading other software due to the Due chip (Dell Latitude D820 - Centrino Duo etc).
Any advice appreciated - but be gentle with me 'cos I'm new to upgrading Windows mobile.
You actually copy that file onto your phone and run it from there, not the computer.
That should do the trick!
Thanks for quick reply - it shows how much I've got to learn!!!
Ran the file from my phone and got the "SUCCESS" message but when I checked using mtty.exe the phone still reports locked to vodafone.
I'll have a play and see what I come up with - hopefully not frying the phone in the process

You _must_ be running the unlocker's patched radio 1.16 on your phone when you run HERM_Unlock_v2a.exe, otherwise it will report "SUCCESS" but do nothing.
Thanks Pof, but I don't know what to do next...
my bootloader screen shows IPL-1.00 and SPL-1.04.
My device info shows:
ROM version: 1.20.161.6
ROM date: 08/02/06
Radio version: 1.03.06.00
Protocol version: 32.34.7010.01W
I've read most of the WIKI (and even understood most of it) and also as many posts to this forum as I could.
Also, the 'available ROMs' page shows that this is the only ROM that Vodafone UK have produced and, bacause another poster has done the same thing with the same hardware and ROM I guessed I shouldn't have too much problem.
I think that as a beginner I must be doing something wrong or misunderstanding some of the lingo but would appreciate any more help which will get me away from the Vodafone ROM - and who knows, as I learn I may even be able to help some others later
Cheers, and thanks for all the informative posts

Follow instructions here, after flashing patched rom your radio version should show 1.16, then run HERM_Unlock_v2a.exe on your phone and wait the "success" message. After that you should be SuperCID, if not, read the unlocking thread... it has all been answered before.
OK, finally worked it out - all I had to do was RTFW - ALL of it, not just the parts I think are relevant.
Cheers for the help, I'm sure I'll screw up later and need more lelp but I've learned loads already...
Now trying to work out which ROM to use (except Vodafone) and hoping not to brick the phone in the process )
Hey,
I was given a Softbank X01HT from my brother and I've been using the information on this site to try and get the phone up and working on the Three network in Australia. This site has been really informative and I managed to do a lot of upgrades to my phone and everything works fine except that I get "no service" when I put my Three sim card into the phone. Could someone please help me work out what's wrong with my phone?
Here are the details of my phone:
Device: Softbank X01HT (Black one don't know how old)
IPL-1.04
SPL-2.10.Olipro
ROM Version: CRCs r13.3
Radio Version: 1.47.30.19
I've done the following:
Upgrade to hard SPL (first thing I did)
Run the Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a (Though now I have doubts that I did it right)
Installed various rom (mostly for fun)
Installed Josh V15 Manila 2D rom
Installed the dopod AUS 3network WM6 (I thought it would have the right radio and settings)
Installed the CRC rom (I didn't like the dopod rom)
Any help would be appreciated. I've been searching but I couldn't find a good answer.
I'm not very familiar with that phone but you'll need to create a new data connection so that it can connect to 3.
When creating one, make sure you select the data connection type as GPRS, 3G etc, the access point is called 3services, no username or password is required. Should be good from then on.
These forums are awesome, with a bit more patience and perserverance I finally got my phone to work.
I did more searching on the X01HT and found that people were using the radio rom from pof's SIM & CID Unlocker. There was talk about cooking roms and stuff which I didn't want to try, so I decided to just run through the unlocker again. I made sure that I turned off my phone for 10 secs at the end and do a soft reset after the 10 secs, as I was a bit careless with that part last time.
After getting through all the steps, the phone recognised my sim and configured my phone for the three network. I can now connect to the net and make phone calls.
Now the details of my phone are:
HERM200
IPL-1.01
HERM200
SPL-1.40.Olipro
ROM version: CRC r13.3
Radio version: 1.16.00.00
Thanks guys for running this site. I reckon i'll be on these forums a lot in the next few months. There's still a lot of tweaks I want to do to my phone.
Mate, bit of advice, install Hard SPL V7 so there are no "accidents" when flashing a new rom... Its a bit better at protecting your Hermes when you flash than 1.40. Thats an older version of Hard SPL.
Cheers...
Greetings too you all,
I have purchased HTC HD2 device on September 2010 in Poland from Orange network. A week ago I have "finally" upgraded to latest official ROM from HTC2.
My current device details after update are:
SPL-3.03.0000
OS : 5.2.21913 (21913.5.0.94)
Manila: 2.5.20181527.0
ROM: 3.14.479.2 (04666) WWE
ROM date: 10/04/10
Radio: 2.15.50.14
Protocol: 15.42.50.11U
I have a serious problem. My device even when returned to default settings (holding VOL UP and DOWN when switching on) or re-flashed again with same ROM, like to hang quite a lot during the day. Sometimes it works entire day without hang up then hangs unexpectedly or restarts. When restarted it might even hang at white HTC logo screen without the red font versions list appearing, or moments after I type in PIN. Sometimes it restart just moments after I type PIN in, or minutes after working - or hangs. I help myself by using the force-restart button near battery or by removing battery. I suppose it is ROM issue? I do not want to go back to previous official ROM - I had different bugs with that one, and it was in Polish language, what I truly disliked.
I could try very stable ROM and I need your help and instructions how to do it in such a way that I can always go back to all my original settings (if I have to give device back on warranty). I really don't want a screw up so I kindly ask to guide me here through unofficial flashing process, choice of new ROM and troubleshooting my crazy HD2.
my HD2 also behave like this (latest 3.14 WWE ASIA ROM). but i thought it was because i flashed Artemis v43 ROM. i flashed the official ROM again to see if it will restart itself but after few hour & soft reset for several times it works just fine. But when i flashed Artemis v43 & after 2 days of usage it start to soft reset & hang at HTC start screen.
before i read your post i was really sure the Artemis v43 ROM was the cause of this, now im not sure maybe have to flash the official 1.66 WWE again if it keeps restarting itself.
Wow, thanks for your reply. Now I am in check-mate. Because I have researched a lot about Artemis #44, thought it will solve my problem. Now I am not that sure. So what is causing these often hang ups and restarts? You know, couple of days ago after I re-flashed latest official ROM again and I was going through "first use" screens, typing back all my accounts in - it hanged again... restart, and again, again. Fortunately it works without hangs since yesterday. I have this "theory" that subscription PIN locked SIM cards are the issue here. I have changed my SIM card free-of-charge already, however the problem persist. However I took pre-paid SIM from Orange too, not PIN locked, placed it into my phone, and I was able to set up my phone correctly, customize settings and then switched cards back to Orange MIX (something like subscription) SIM card.
I really don't know what to do next. One might say - go back to old-school ROM
Edit:
Firstly I will try to re-flash original latest ROM for my phone S/N.
Secondly I will try Artemis v. #44 (Melody)

Mates,
You re not alone. I had same experience. That is why if you see my signature, I downgraded the SPL. Now I dont have that kind of troubles.Although I cant use Artemis now.
Cheers..
if the phone is new, forget trying to fix it, get it replaced.
Issue has been resolved by HTC repair workshop. After my HTC mainboard was replaced everything is fine and my device has not hanged even once since then. I am running stock ROM now.
Hi all,
I've browsed through all topics I've found on ROMs for Mozart and I'm confused with mine. I've bought mine unlocked from Hong Kong. Here's what I get from device:
firmware revision number: 2250.09.12803.707
radio software version: 5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10U
Bootloader version: 1.28.2250.3(113810)
It looks like I have quite fresh version (1.28) though it has awful gradient rendering and I'm stuck with only English (US) keyboard...
Is there ROM I can flash (or safely try flashing) on my phone to get European set of keyboards and better gradients?
Thanks in advance!
uprom = goldcard
Interestingly enough while using PSAS I've got CID that started with 01 and the rest was just zeros. That was WinMo 6.1 Samsung that I used to get the CID. And in fact it reported CIDs for what I believe are internal partitions while flash card and its own internal storage showed this 01000... thing. So I went with what I had and passed it to PSAS goldcard generator and it gave no errors. Now I wonder if I should try to flash with this card. Will it just give an error in the beginning before flashing anything if it's unacceptable or will I potentially get in trouble?
ok, so I'm impatient guy and I just tried - when started, it showed update screen for some time. then it rebooted and showed the update screen again. then after a while it has written OK against everything (MOZAIMG.nbh, RADIO, BOOTLOADER, OS, RCUST) and reposrted that Update Complete | UPDATE SUCCESS. Will try to detach it now
Yay! I long-pressed power button to shut device down and started it normally and now I have my euro-mozart. thanks everyone for posting great info on goldcard flashing for wp7!
