GPS on XDA - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

I have succesfully installed TOM TOM 5 with a serial GPS receiver and its has been working fine for the last three months. Now my GPS receiver flashes but cannot find a signal. Can anyone help or do I need to get another receiver?

If the gps reciever couldn't get any signal from the sattelite, than it has nothing to do with your xda device. If you didn't get any sattelite with the reciever, than you have to replace it.....

TOMTOM2

Hello, where can I get the best price (free is obviously the best) for TOMTOM2 bluetooth software for my XDA2
Any suggestions would be most gratefully received.
Thanks
Damian
The answer depends very much on where you are and what you're after. TomTom2 has been superceded by V3 in Europe.
Also there is no such beast as TomTom2 Bluetooth, it's just TomTom, if you're PocketPC has Bluetooth and you have a BT GPS then it'll work.
What GPS Receiver do you have?
I have a variety but the two I use daily are a Leadtek Bluetooth GPS and a Royaltek RBT-3000 Bluetooth GPS with Datalogger.

GPS Antenna for the Herald

I was wondering if there are any GPS Antennas available to connect with the HTC4350. I found antennas for other versions of the HTC but haven't found for HTC4350. Are they going to produce some sort of GPS Antennas for the Herald?
The thing is , when I scan some areas , the software detects the wi-fi routers but the signal is very lowwwww and therefore I still cannot connect. Maybe I get some more luck with a GPS Antenna hehe. (if it's worth it)

Most GPS hardware are now bluetooth or USB. Most are universal so just config it on Setting>System>External GPS.
Having an WiFi antenna would only help you receive WiFi. Some Nav. Programs allow you to use wifi as a pin point; but not in real time movement.
Good Luck.

Herm200 GPS HELP

How do i know i got built in gps? its a jap model X01HT
In my settings i only see Eternal GPS with the cooked rom im using
Im trying to get this going with tomtom
The Hermes doesn't have built-in GPS.
You need to purchase a bluetooth receiver and have GPS software. I use tomtom. Works brilliantly BUT remember if you get a reciever, make sure it has as many channels as possible so it has quick & accurate signal reception.
Mine is a 54 channel receiver and I got no complaints, my 16 channel receiver however....... 10 minutes for a signal lock is somewhat excessive and forget it if its a cloudy day...
hermes 100 definitly not have internal connections/antenna for use the build in gps chip, but and the HERMES200?
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=514&c=vodafone_v1605___wireless_pda_1605_htc_hermes_200
??
There are no real internal differences between the 100, 200 and 300. So No, it won't have the internal GPS chip.

Problem with gps and wifi
