plz help - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

i have o2 xda and
rom 4.02.04 eng
rom date 8/24/05
radio version 6.25.02
protocol version 324e4
but i am liveing in egypt and my pc pocet is working and gms ok but network is not working why and what is radio version dawonload plz any one tell me

Your device is designed for 900/1900 MHz Networks. I'm not 100% sure, but I think in egypt you have 900/1800 MHz networks.
So you can only use a provider that uses the 900 MHz frequency. Otherwise there is no possibilty to get it working. It's a hardware limitation and does not depend on the Radio Stack....

New XDA I Model?

My new XDA arrived today and looking at the system info I have a query
Here is it's info
Model PW10A1
Rom 4.00.05 ENG
Rom Date 06/05/03
Radio Stack 4.20.00
Protocol 32S54
This is a 64Mb version of the XDA I
This actual forum profile doesn't list PW10A1 as a model number. Anyone know anything about it? is it a revision of some kind?
PW10A1 means it's 900/1800 MHz device ... PW10B1 means it's 900/1900 MHz one (USA only)

SX 56 and Eplus

Hi ,
i've a SX 56 (AT&T wireless) which i updated with ROM verion 3.17.03 ENG. But i have not been able to connect to the Eplus network so far. I used the bandswitch application to switch the frequency to 900/1800. Slip in a T-mobile card and it works without any issues! Has any1 been able to connect to the eplus network?! If yes (hopefully) , do let me know !
thanx
cheers

What for a device you have? Take a look at the sticker back on the device... Mus be something like PW10....
Which radio version have you installed on your device? (start -> settings -> system ->device information)
not 100% sure, but i thought that the sx56 was only for the us market with 900/1900 Mhz.
900/1900 MHz has modell number PW10B with radiostack 6.x
900/1800 MHz has modell number PW10A with radiostack 4.x or 3.x
If it is a PW10A-Modell you can try entering bootloader and setting gsm to 900/1800.
if it is a PW10B-Modell you don't have any chance to get it working with Eplus.

Hi ,
the model is PW10B1(sticker @ the back of the device) , but the device info says PW10A1 which is probably because of the rom (3.17.03 ENG)
The radiostack version is 6.12. As we speak, i m downloading a 4.x verion from your rom kitchen! but i guess i can close shop and start thinking about changing my provider ! ;-) So i guess there is no chance of changing the radio version right ?
thanx

Hard to say, but you're right. There is no chance of changing radio version. The limitation of 900/1900 MHz networks is a hardwareproblem, so you have no possibility (maybe some soldering) to get your device working.
The device info of the system is just a name. Depending on which rom installed it will show you PW10A or PW10B. So the sticker at the back of the device says the true....
You can only get it working with the 900 MHz providers (T-Mobile and Vodafone in Germany).
A few days ago t-mobile got an offer of the MDA I for about 30 Euro with a new contract....
So if changing the provider why not getting a new device with more memory...
HTH
PS: If you want to sell the device and you make a good price, maybe i'm interested in it....
hi stefan,
unfortunately i can't sell it coz it's my company device ! i'll just have 2 give it back and get something new!
thanx anyways

Different names are no problem.
It depends on what rear sticker say. So you have a PW10B device. Tehreforen 4.xx Radio Versions do not work try the 6.xx
Also you have to ensure your provider works either on 900 or 1900 MHz....

Dear Mr. Stefan,
i really need advice ...
thank you.
PW10B devices require 6.xx RSU-Version. You should You should then also fix the bandwith to 900 MHz in Bootloader
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=ChangingBandsWithBootloader
RSU Version can be found on www.romkitchen.de/tools/
The displaying of PW10A in your system depends on the ROM and is complete unimportant.....
Stefan
now is fixed

In pakistan network bands is 900mhz and 1800mhz.
You can try this one:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=ChangingBandsWithBootloader
But pay attention. Entering Bootloader causes a hard reset. All data on the device will be lost.
