I'm a new bee here, i just got an XDA O2 from my uncle, but he just lost the cd driver to connecting at the comp, i did search any where, but i can;'t find it, any suggestion ?

i bought a At&T SX56, I unlocked it at a friends house and flashed
3.17 eng am now using T-mobile everything works fine. But when i took the unit home and connected to my laptop it says new h/w found and tries to install the xda but i get an error mes.
"A service installation section in this INF is invalid"

I bought a new PC and I don't have my sx56 drivers disk. Know where I can find the drivers so my PC will recognize the phone? Been searchin all over.

Just download ActiveSync from Microsoft. No more drivers are needed.

I have the tmobile pocket pc 2003 but when i connect it to my pc it doesn't detect it... i don't know wat to do... i need it to connect so i can unlock it.. well any advice will help....
how do you plan to unlock it through the PC ??
It's enough to copy xdaunlock.exe to your device and run it ... unless you have RSU 6.2x whicj will require you to down grade it first.

i lost the cd's dat came with my tmobile pocket pc and i need to put the special edition rom... but i have the activesync software and outlook but it still won't connect through activesync... wat am i supposed to do? i can't just use the unlocker program b/c it's rom version 4.01.16 ENG... please help...

Try downloading the newest version of Active Sync (3.7.1). Than synchronizing should work with your Device....

i do have the newest version of active sync... and during the setup when it tries to detect my pocket pc it says dat there is nothing connected... i don't know wats wrong.. it works on my friends computer...
is it 98 or ME ?

it's ME and it was working on a XP but my laptop that had XP is not working so i can't use it.. i wasn't able to unlock it with my other laptop before it broke so can anyone tell me if i can fix the usb problem or if it's a different problem?
maybe windows update or some driver update from the laptop makers site

if your computer doen't recognize your pocket pc device for some reason, you can go to control panel select user accounts and create a new user. Then restart your computer with new user name. Try and let me know if it solve your problem.
hey everyone I am wondering if you are able to help me.. I recently upgraded to modacos custom rom V3. I have been using it for a while now an during that time i have had to wipe my laptop, i lost everything on there.. When I rebooted the laptop an tried to connect my Hero to it I am unable to mount my phone.. It doesnt show up on the notifications screen, i have installed HTC sync an rebooted the phone an still nothing. If any1 is able to help me thatd be great..

Check if 'HTC driver' is installed as well; you should be able to find it in the "HTC" folder in your start menu if it is. If you can't find it, try reinstalling HTC Sync to make sure the drivers are installed.
hey steven, yeah the driver is installed.. I am going to uninstall HTC sync an re download it , hopefully it works after that. if anyone else has any ideas thatd be great.. thanks guys
Have you tried:
1. Attaching the device to a different PC
2. Using different USB cables
Note that several people on these forums have found that changing cable has worked for them, even though the cable that didn't work seemed to be fine for other devices, so it is definitely worth a try.

hey mate, i just reinstalled htc sync & no luck there.. I have already tried connecting on other computers an no luck there, i will look for another cable next week sometime an hopefully that helps.. thakns for your help.. cheers, brett.

Glad you got it sorted out with a new cable.
For anyone else having problems with mounting, make sure you're connected to a USB 2.0 port. I had the same problem but everything started to work once plugged in to USB 2.0
hey every body i have an prophet and its cant connect on the pc using activsync 4.5 or 4.2 also 4.1?? cuz i wanna to make an upgrade but (usb not rycognized) is appear every time i connect it so i cant cuz of this problem.

When I bought my Prophet (2nd hand) it was as a sh*t....and I decided to change / upgrade the ROM. After this it was impossible to connect to activesync and.......tachan!!! it was the usb cable!!! there are some usb cables unable to connect some devices (as my bluetooth GPS) and I changed the cable....all perfect!
Maybe is this your problem. If it is not the answer maybe you can try to change the ROM and try and try....

I have a problem.
When i connect my HD2 to my Win7 PC it will not connect.
I run android in my SIG, and all details are in there.
When i'm in Android, it just gives the message about debugging.
When I go to bootloader, at first i see serial, when i put the cable in notthing happens.
Normaly it goos and find the driver for qualcomm, but notting now.
Tryed my other PC also on Win7, same issue.
I dont have WinMoDeCenter op my pc, and don't have htc sync on it.
been searching for many hours now....
Does anybody have the solution for me?
Would be great.
UPDATE: Now @ work connection is ok.. must be missing driver on pc @ home

Will try it, but I work with ext4 on my rom.. donno how it will do.
At work all is fine.
I think I need the driver, but can't seem to find it online....
