this morning when i tool the phone out the chager it waz frozen. when i soft reset it it went off and it's not cuming on. i tried a hardreset, the lights under the talk and end butons light up but it did nuthing. is there a way that i can reflash the phone in it's present state? or is it dead? can someone help me please cuz the phone isn't mine....

My friend's xda2 is currently dead, won't power, red light when charging. He said all he did was take his sim card out and put in a sim card of his friend when he was in Prague and the unit just died.
I have been playing with it, changed batteries, etc, and nothing.. anyone else have this happen, any ideas or is it going back to the factory for him?

Have you tried doing a Hard Reset? By holding POWER+SOFTRESET.... One day I thought my MDA 2 is dead also playing PocketMVP then suddenly just go blank, no lights, reset doesn't work, try to put on a cradle but no lights that saying its charging so I did a HARD RESET and it came back to life... Wheeew! that scared me..
Guys does anyoneknows if doing a SOFT RESET bad for the device?
How about HARD RESET is it good or bad if you always have to do it?

Well like I said its for a friend, so I'm not going to kill myself over this, but if I can fix it for him, great! I tried the hard reset, tried taking the battery out, nothing, I guess I can try and run down the reserve on it and maybe after like 30 mins the thing will come to life?...

Have you tried fiddling with the little red sliding switch inside the battery compartment? I have seen some posts that indicate some of these switches are a bit flakey. If the switch was not actually switching from backup to main battery, I can see how this behavior could be manifested.

so recently my htc hd2 started having problems.. the bottom 4 buttons seem to stay lit 24/7 when the phone is on even when in standby how can i make the phone go back to how it used to be ? i tried soft reset nothing..

yes i pulled battery and also did a factory reset , still does it. starting to think phone is defective as nothing i do will fix this problem. any advice? my phone is under warranty and i have insurance on it
I accidently flshed a HD2 T-Mobile USA HD2. The phone just become stone dead. Can not turn on at all, no sign, no charge light. simply nothing, can't do hard reset, too. Is there any way to reflash the rom(with jtag maybe)?

Hi
try this: Remove battery, then hold the volume key down, then put battery back in while still holding volume key down. No push power button once (while still holding volume key down.
See if this puts you back to the multi colour boot screen mode.

OK do you know if you had a full charge on the battery when you started? Try to charge the phone up(while off) see if the little red light comes on. If it does, leave it until it goes green, then try a reset. That the little red button on the left at the bottom where the cover sits. use a pen to reset this and then try the volume down and start. See if we can get some where this time

If so then its dead. JTAG is your only option........ or warranty but you didnt hear that from me...........

did you go over the instructions ?
did you make sure you were flashing the correct rom even ?

I have a problem with my x10 mini pro. There are some similar posts here but nobody exactly describe what is happening to me. So my problem:
One day i have been in subway, phone working properly everything fine. THan suddenly 3G icon has disappear and wouldnt go back. So i decided to restart the device. But since i turned it off, i cannot turn it back on again...
I have tried to take out the simcard, take out mempory card, multiple time reflash by SEUS but still cannot turn it on.
I cna charge the phone with no problem, i can flash it with no problem, but i cannot use it at all.
When i press power button, phone shortly vibrate as he is turning on, than display get a bit brighter (not white, just lights up its easy to notice from profile). and than after few seconds get black again. And like this it continue until it drains battery, only without vibrating. every cca 5 seconds display light up and than get black again. So i guess its rebooting all the time. I have tried all tricks like pressing power+home button, still nothing.
I think i just need really wipe out the whole phone and flash it again. Is it possible somehow? I feel like reflashing by SEUS is not real hardcore flash, is there anything stronger i can try?
I am willing to try anything if anybody has an idea, since its not working anyway so i dont care what i try.

So i got this new atrix it was working fine no problems but now it wont turn on
First of all it`s completely vanilla no rooting no firmware flashed no nothing.
I reboted it several time yesterday and it worked allright and after my battery was 15% i decided to shut the phone down and put it to charge on my pc.
Now in the morning a the same green led is flashing but when i press the power button (fingerprint scanner) it wont do nothing the screen stays black
I dont know what to do i remove and added the battery several time and still nothing PLEASE HELP ME
Try plugging it on the charger until the battery says 100%.then try booting it up.
if it didn't boot.if it's on warranty send it for repair.
