Any folks know where to buy an original HTC uk charger?
I left mine in a travel inn!
If you have a spare I will buy it off you.
UK charger
Hello,
You can charge your device with any USB mini cable from a computer or a powered USB hub (in this case you don't even need the computer). Anyway if this solution is not suitable for you I do have an original UK T-Mobile MDA charger here in Finland. Because I can't use it here I can sell it to you.

The specs of my Charmer charger
Model: ADP-5FH D
Input: 100-240V~0.2A 50-60Hz LPS
Output: 5V = 1A
HTC P/N: 79H00051-03
Not sure if the Wizard is using the same. Anyway, as HTC units can be charged via USB cable, I presume the voltage and stuff are relatively standard. Hence, you might able to get any USB charger to charge your unit. BTW, I've tried charging use the Motorola's USB charger, it doesn't work with my Charmer. Not sure why.
Great news to me, Visi.
Could you email about this please,

I bought one of these for my Universal but I am sure they are same as the wizard. Someone will confirm

Hi guys,
Well i have a TyTN for a year by now and when i have purchased my phone, on very first day i`ve lost my charger
So here is my question, i`ve tried 2 different charges, one belongs to motorola phones with mini usb port, and other one is gigabyte g-smart charger (the one i bought before TyTN and not working now). Motorola charger can not charge my TyTN, but G-Smart charger can do it. But when the battery is fully discharged, G-Smart charger also can not start charging my device, only way i can start charging is to connect my tytn to my computer..
I want to ask you guys the output voltage and ampere value of the OEM TyTN charger, which is the most important thing about the chargers. For example Motorola charger gives out 4.8 Volts with 350 mAmpers (0.35 A) and i guess this is not enough to charge my tytn becaouse it is not working on my tytn. Can anybody tell me the values of the oem charger?
Output: 5V @ 1A LPS
I'm pretty sure that answers your question, I don't know much about this.
5V 1A
wow pretty much for a cell phone...
have you felt how much the hermes feels like a 3 bar fire when it's charging p
(if you're buying from ebay, buy the 2AMP versions so you know you have a little bit spare... just my opinion but cheap import charger's probably don't provide quite what they say they do... Also if you run a charger at 100% it's output 100% of the time i would think it's less likley to last as long as one runnign at only 50%)
(don't forget you also need to do the charging pin cable hack if you get a cig lighter to USB adapter or you'll end up with the one charge per reset bug...)
I've charged my Herm200 with various chargers, mains and car-based from 500mA to 1.5A with no difficulties. It seems to be a fairly resilient charging circuit. The lower current chargers don't charge the device very fast (or at all, in some cases) with TomTom running though.
thanx guys you have been very helpful, but i have an gigabyte g-smart i128 and it has a USB chager too. which is 5V 700mAh. And when i plug it into my hermes, a yellow led flashes for few times then nothing... It does not charge it. This i found strange. Well it charges my gigabyte pda well. But i dont think there is something wrong with my hermes too because usb sync cable charges well.
Just picked up an unlocked Cingular/ATT 8525, but it only came with the USB synch cord. I know I can charge it with that, but I also have a wall charger and a car charger from my Razor V3 that seems to fit the factory specs in V&A. Would it be safe to use these with the Hermes or should I bite the bullet and get new chargers?
Any USB Charger should do it. All will be 5v at 500mA+.
As the above poster says other chargers at 500mA will work. BUT if you do some searches you will realise that the Hermes charger is 1000mAand in a few circumstances this is a better rating. So if you get the chance to pick up an official one then I suggest you do. There have been problems reported with using under powered non official chargers. For toppping up now and then it's not a problem though.
Mike
They'll work fine. Even if it's 500mA, it will just charge a little slower than the 1000mA OEM charger.
had an imate jam fried by a motorola charger... haven't been game enough to put my jasjam on again... cheers....
i would be very hesitant in using non genuine chargers. there are problems with them in regards to properly charging the unit. do a search and see for yourself on the forum
I used to use a Moto Razr charger with my wiza and my hermes. The only downfall is that if your battery completely dies it cant jump start it to begin the charge.
Is it fine to use a htc touch charger for my jasjam? So any genuine HTC charger that has a mini-USB connection should be fine?

Yes, I use my friends HTC S710 (Vox) charger all the time and it's fine both for my phone and Moto S9's headphones.

Ok thanks for that.
Would this USB charger be fine? http://www.zazz.com.au/ (there's 1.5 hours left on it) The DC output specs for the ac adapter are 400mA. Would this have a negative effect on the JasJam?

How sensitive is the phone to voltage fluctuations? Just noticed that my old 8125 charger is 5.5V and I also have a Motorola portable charger rated at 5 +/- 0.25V
I got a generic little car charger that works fine... It was "Lazer" brand from china...
Maybe, if you're in Australia you might be able to find it.
Cheers....
yeah, i'm using "Capdase" miniUSB charger [5V 1A]. it charges my hermes [from 10%] to full for ~2h30m
i have been using a motorola a1200 since i picked up this device used and it didnt come with anything
it just takes longer for the device to recognize its charging and it takes longer to fill up the battery
Hey all, I'm planning on getting a Hero online since I do not like Sprint's version.
I was wondering what you US users that imported the Hero use to charge your Hero via wall charger. Old iPhone charger? Old G1 charger? If not, did you buy one from somewhere? Any recommendations are welcome!
Thank you!
USB? (And I think the USB-to-wall-thingie came with a changable wall-piece
You can use a mini usb to recharge the phone. I just used my old blackberry mini usb wall charger rather than buying a new one. It will also work plugged into the computer but it takes too long to charge that way.
g1 charger will do fine
The charger supplied with the European Hero handles 100-240V 50-60HZ so you should be ok with just a converter plug. The original charger also has a replaceable wall-piece which can be fitted with plugs as necessary. It only comes with one depending on the market where it is purchased, but there's at least Euopean, UK and US plugs available.
Then there's the option of using any USB charger on the market.
Hi everyone, hope someone can advise.
I have a UK TG01 and it works ok but overnight it wont charge from the mains charger but it charges via usb.
I have tried different chargers and an old HTC mini usb charger with a mini to micro adapter fitted but its still the same.
I have the Mugen 1300Mha battery but its the same with the standard battery on all chargers.
I have cleaned out both the charger plug and the socket on my TG01 just in case of dust but no good it only charges via usb.
I have hard reset and flashed the standard UK Orange rom but this makes no difference.
Does anyone know whats going on? it was fine, no changes or software loaded and one day its fine and the next day it wont charge??
Any advice would be gratefully received, thanks for reading.
Faulty USB sockets i think try send it back to Toshiba for warranty repair.
Not sure about that as my TG01 does charge if I plug it into my laptop, this would suggest the socket is ok?
I believe that the charger is faulty, try a new micro usb charger, or try another socket

Agreed. As the TG01 is charging via USB, then there is most unlikely to be an issue with the uUSB socket on the phone.
To tell the TG01 to go into charging mode, the uUSB connector on the charger must have the two data pins shorted out. This is the equivalent effect to connecting to a host laptop or PC when connected via a USB sync and charge cable.
If you have a non-standard charger or are using an adapter from eg. mini-USB to uUSB it is very likely that this will not be implemented.
A few questions...
- Are you trying with the supplied Toshiba charger ?
- If so did it work OK with this before but not now ? [likely duff charger]
- If a 3rd part charger, again has it ever worked ? [if not then probably missing the required pin config]
Hope that is of some help.
Hi Kevin, its a genuine Toshiba charger and I have been using it since day one.
I took my charger into work today and tried a friends Nokia micro usb charger and that worked first time so duff charger.
No, I asked him to try my Toshiba charger and that also worked
So I assume my original charger possibly may not be 'shorting' correctly or presenting exactly the right resistance to the TG01 or possibly my TG01 is getting a little fussy about how it charges.
Anyway I have ordered a genuine Nokia charger from ebay and fingers crossed all should be well and thanks for all the advice everyone.
Hi. Mobile operator in Poland sales moto e without charger. Can somebody tell me exactly what parameters has original charger?
It's sold without charger to be inexpensive. Any micro-usb charger should do. You can use USB cable to plug in and charge it without dedicated charger. I use charger from Samsung Omnia II i8000 with 5.0V ~ 0.7A.
