radio is a part of the rom upgrade
i think if you just remove the rom and extented rom it will just upgrade the radio stack
if it dont then you can always take the rom install you already have and change the radio stack file to the one you want to use
and flash the whole thing
that will make you loose any unbacked up data of cause

I have an O2 mini s whit cid unlocked and i want to change my radio version i have the 2.25.11 but i have several problem someimes i cant call sometimes i dont receive incoming calls i have read many post and i think the problem is the radio version can you please tell me how to upgrade it i dont want to brick my g4 phone thanks.
A G4 cid-locked Wizard can be flashed a radio rom through SoftSPL. Just copy the nk file to the softspl directory and run the softspl program, it will work just like upgrading the OS but it will only upgrade the radio.
Some radio options are 2.71.11 and 2.19.11.
Also, you might need the cingular radio fix if you're dropping calls.

thanks for your answer and if I have cid unlock I have the one that is 2.olip I did what wiki said is the same instructions? what do you recommend upgrading the fix.or change version thanks again for your answer.
could someone please confirm I downloaded the radio fix do I have to open it from the exe? or i have to use softspl just for the fix upgrade. and if I want to change radio version do I have to use softspl if I have unlock cid I really apreciate your answers I don't want to do the upgrade without a confirm thanks for your time.
No, updating Radio ROM does not require CID unlock. Just go ahead.
thanks again i have now cid iunlock version 2.olip and i have the cingular fix but theres two files one say install and the other CINGUL~1.000 but i press install and open a html document how do i install it thanks again
Copy the cab file into your device and run it from your device directly.

I am sure that I will get flamed, as I am sure that this has been asked before, but after searching I cannot find a solid answer. I am not new to flashing my rom but have only flashed the radio once. I want to upgrade to a newer radio using the SD card method. I have DCDs 3.2.6 and am curious that if I flash only the radio if I will have to re-flash the rom as well, or will the new radio just write over the pre-existing radio and leave the rom untouched?

just extract the radio u want to flash to into your SD card

i highly recommend 3.42.40....power+camera+reset, will flash radio only leaving ur phone just how u had it seconds before only with a newer radio
hey if u get some problem with 3.42where your text messages gets lost in transaction or u recieve the message 2-3 minutes late I recommend using radio 3.39

So I am new to this scene, but I am doing a lot of reading and in the past two weeks I have learned a lot and done a little. I did the SIM&CID unlock and installed Hardspl, and I know that when trying new roms out it is advised to flash a stock carrier rom inbetween. For me this would be the AT&T 6 rom, but this raises some questions:
Will the radio rom revert to the AT&T rom, thus requiring a flash it back?
Are the other changes i made by unlocking going to stay in place?
Will I need to redo Hardspl again in the future, and does it change the way I flash my roms, or does it automatically protect me when i do a 'normal' flash?

You can flash the stripped AT&T ROM, the radio part is removed. Your radio version will not change then.
SIM&CID Unlock and HardSPL will not be overwritten when flashing a ROM.

Alright, thank you. Do most of the current cooked firmware downloads that are publicly released include a universal (not carrier-specific) radio rom, if it has one at all? Are there any different options when it comes to radio roms that still maintain the ability for the phone to be used with different carrier networks? Ive had pretty poor reception since unlocking it.
Most cooked roms, if not all, DON'T have a radio rom installed.
The reason you've had **** reception is because when you ran the unlocker it downgraded your radio to 1.16.xx. You need to find out what your old radio was or what is a good radio for your carrier.
Use the sd card method to upgrade your radio rom or chance bricking your Hermes... You have been warned...
Okay Now I KNow Im New So Plz Dont Flame. I Tried Searching But Couldnt Find A How To. Once I Flash the new rom the phone will automatically reset but i get stuck at the new splash screen.i was told i should probably install a new radio rom. which i have. but i dont know how to flash just the gps. anybody help please.

If you don't have the correct radio, a reboot loop will occur, which means you just need to flash it with a GPS enabled radio like the newer 3.42.50. That will overwrite your current radio and bring you back to speed.
are you saying the only way to flash the radio is to use the sd card?

Probably a bad flash. Flash the ROM again. If your phone is unlocked with spc code all zeros and you have olipro 2.40 bootloader and GPS radio 3.35 and up you should have no problems with Custom Titan ROMs. After you re-flash hard reset and pull the battery for a couple minutes.
