As I was playing with my bootloader i discovered that when I typed "info 8" with mtty.exe

Two blocks are bad; but I had no error while flashing and my device work fine; I don't get it. I would be pleased if some of you with the same ROM could make a try, this seems obviously strange to me
There seems to be a lot of people with bad blocks (search for "BAD block" + all terms on TyTN category) , not only on cingular's rom but on others too. I don't know if this is bad or not, and if it can be repaired for example using "task 28" to format NAND (Storage)... anyone has a clue?
Glup realy sorry; I musst admit, I forget to search through the forum before posting.
I ll make a good use of your info thoughs; thanks a lot
Anyway, it would be interesting to see reports from other people having the issue. The bad block position and number of badblocks seems to be different on almost everyone.
- Anyone else with bad blocks reported on "info 8" bootloader command?

I am having a bad block also. So far my device working fine except activesync with my laptop. issuing "task 28" command in mtty does not solve the problem. Any idea to clear up the bad block?

Reflash my device with the original shipping ROMS but the bad block still there. Still no success.
Mine has a bad block at the last. And tried task 28 but did not repaired.
Seems no bad things happened due to that bad block though.~~
These are factory marked bad blocks, nothing to worry about:
Block 0x3A8(936) is BAD block !!!
Block 0x3A9(937) is BAD block !!!
Block 0x3AA(938) is BAD block !!!

But my hermes have bad block this different location,
Block 0xD(13) is BAD block !!!
already try task 28 & reflasing shipping roms but still no luck. Luckily my device still function well. Just annoy with the bad block.
If it's only one noting to worry about...
What is bad blocks mean? Does it the same with hardisk with bad clauster? What is the implication of having bad blocks in our hermes?

Just add this line to your host file under etc/host scroll all the way down and add 0.0.0.0 mtalk.google.com
Hi all
Some apps are using notifications for not being killed by Android Low Mem Killer.
Android M (and L ? ) has an option to block notifications for specific apps and a block all too.
If an app is using this technique to stay alive and the user sets all notifications to block all, is the app still safe from LMK?
