Hi,
I'm curious if anyone has experience with one of these music stations:
http://www.insidepda.de/testbericht,music-dock,1.html
and the other one
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290039058825
Both cost about the same (around 30€). I wonder if one of these has any major flaws and how the sound quality is. I know that they can not compete with a good home stereo.
Thanks for commenting!

Still don't know if/when I'll be getting one.

Hi Evry1. I am after an average quality bluetooth stereo headset for my HD. I love music and like to listen to my favourite tracks on the go (on the way to office and uni everyday & sometimes at home from my lappy). Ideally I would love to have amazing quality sound output but can't really be bothered to wear those chunky headsets that offer the sound quality to my satisfaction, so I decided to go for an average quality bluetooth headset for everyday use.
After going through some reviews I'm thinkin of buyin a motorola s9. I know it has issues with the buttons but I don't go to gym and don't get time for even light exercise, hence I have nothing to worry about, on that part. But, unfortunately, I can't seem to find any UK based dealer where I can get it from. Ideally I would prefer a shop where I can take the thing back if anything bad happens.
I would also like your opinion on my choice and if there is any other headset that you might suggest.
Cheers...
Doesn't anybody has anything to say?!
ah, here's my 3 cents...
Firstly, the new model is S9 HD...I considered that and some others and finally bought the Plantronics V855. I didn't need very good stereo music, and so the 855 is okay for me. At best, the call sounds are great. I didn't like wires and the 855 had just one simple wire that links to the other ear, unlike those like the SE DS980 (great stereo music).
The S9 HD (to me!) looked very out of place (aka awkward, ugly) on a person when worn - at least that what's I gather from seeing 2 persons wearing them on the streets.
Additionally, some reviews pointed to poor call voice sounds (ie. soft).
...it's really your preference in the end.
I think I'm gonna go with the DS980 then...
Dint get a bluetooth headset at the end, instead got a seenheiser CX 400-II headset... Mind blowing quality. glad that i made that choice...
Anyone got any experience with it?
Can't find any reviews in the internet nor in this forum.
Is the music quality good?
Does HD support AVRCP (nothing on their website but this can be an omission)
****, I dunno if I can answer all that for you..
I can answer if they are good or not, and well, I'm not a sound enthusiast, but I really think these are of high quality (for the price they go for).
Recently bought them and I have no problems at all!
Cheers, man. But I've already bought me some Westone wired headset.
I bought this Philips Bluetooth headset SHB9000 6 mths back...one of the best bluetooth headset ...The music quality is superb...use core player for music..u can get best of out of it...its worth the price...I can bet nothing can match to it...crystal clear music on wireless..so far I havent come across any issues with this headset.....any more questions about this... you can ask me, if you have any issues with pairing the headset...
Does it really fit over your ear though? .. it looks small in the images.
I had high hopes for the Prime in the sound (external speakers) department.
Recent reviews revealed that the Asus Prime has speakers only at one side. No stereo sound experience when you hold the tablet in-front of you. Very disappointing in my opinion.
What do others think?
You might want to look at these redundant threads:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1372397
nope, no one. First time I heard of that.
For me it's disappointing in terms of checking off specs. In real world use I'll probably be using head phones 95% of the time so it's not a big deal.
I'm going to reserve judgement until I get my unit. Haven't really heard anything bad about it with most reviews complaining more about the placement of the speaker.
This reviewer had good things to say about it.
"There is one speaker on the back of the unit along the right edge. While other tablets offer a two-speaker stereo approach, I found the Prime's overall sound quality to be surprisingly good; music sounded full and was free from the tinny effect that frequently plagues tablet speakers. At full volume, songs were almost too loud for a single-room environment. This was a welcome change from other tablets, where the volume can never seem to get high enough."

What is up with all this hate threads? No one has a damn tab in their hand so everyone needs to chill. I request a mod to delete all these stupid random threads about what the tab does and doesn't have. I'm just as excited as everyone else but we don't need 100 open discussions bout it when its not even out yet. Excited topics bout our expectations but on my god every one is bagging on a device not being sold yet.

I have read a lot on this in other forums. My thoughts are:
1) I haven't actually heard it myself so it is difficult for me to be too concerned.
2) I would normally use a headset anyway to get the full audio experience even if it had two true stereo speakers.
3) I haven't watched a review where they have bashed the audio, only mentioned that it seems to be somewhat directional and your hand can muffle it a bit which would make sense. A few have mentioned that even thought it is one speaker the sound produced is pretty good.
In summary the speaker quality was WAY down on my feature list so I am not concerned at all as long as my headphones sound sweet.
Just my $0.02. Your mileage and needs for audio could be entirely different than mine.
Yes. I really wanted to piss off all my fellow passengers on public transportation systems by playing the Butthole Surfers at full blast -- the more speakers the better -- and now Asus won't let me.
Oh, woe is poor, poor pitiful me!
No, the original...
I went and played with a prime at gamestop today. The audio was really loud and clear. and like some reviewers said if you put you hand over the speaker it seems to sound better which is good because your hand will be on top of it a lot. The other thing I liked was when I had the sound all the way up you could feel the bass in the tablet it's self which was pretty cool when playing games.
Sure, im also disappointed that my nexus s doesn't have 7.1 surround sound
Yes.. bass thumping piezo.. I can already feel the rumbling thunder...

I am extremely disappointed that the Prime doesn't come with a Vagina. I though it was perfect, but since it doesn't have that one spec I wanted, I guess i'm gonna have to go with my girlfriend who's still running 1.0.
Hey guys
Got my Z2, and loving it 85% of the time, still a few kinks id like ironed out, but hey ho! Anyway one of the biggest things I think will be an issue is the microiphone. Doesn't seem a great recording source for anything loud or bass heavy.
I have seen the STM10 that you can get and its an intriguing bit of kit! Anyone got any reviews or experience with one? Its mostly going to be used for videos of music at festivals etc and would love to know if it is up to the job.
The other thing is it seems quite cumbersome, and wondered if anyone has any alternatives? It wouldn't be ideal to have with me at a music festival really (damage and or loss after a few ciders!) so is there a smaller one thats as good that anyone knows of?
Any info would be great

Hey mate, I'm chasing an external microphone for my Z2 too. I've enquired with Sony on FB and they said they'd get back to me soon so fingers crossed. In the meantime the Edutige EIM-004 looks very promising as it has a much better response to loud noises than their EIM-001. There's some Youtube videos of it in action at concerts and the difference is HUGE.
Here's the link if you're interested http://www.edutige.net/shop/eim-004/
I'll keep you posted if I hear anything about the STM10 too!

Thats really helpful! Thank you. I will take a look at the videos when I can
If you have the noise cancelling headphones you can use them as a microphone. Just change settings to microphone in smart connect.

I've had the chance to test that out last night.
Sound was about 100-105DB and the Bass was HEAVY!
Internal
Headphone's stereo mic
well yeah xD too loud is too loud! even headphones stereo mic can't help you there.
p.s how much would a STM10 cost ?
Just a Tipp....
Did you guys try the stereo recording feature? You need to connect the nc-headset, so the phone uses the build in mics in the earbuds. Its a big difference in comparison to internal mic.
But the iblazr one has a built-in battery, the 3.5 mm connector is use only for data transfer, probable reason is that they wanted to be cross compatible with ios and android. So with a built-in battery, I think Sony could very easily pull-off a xenon flash accessory that plugs in to either the usb or 3.5 mm port.

Cider, lol.
So how many people have the stm10 mic? I'm really keen on buying it this weekend its just a matter of seeing what people actually think. I've seen some reviews but I'm not 100% on it yet

I own the STM 10. The quality of recorded audio is way better
I have STM10 and used it once. I can't judge the quality as I found that the sound is more or less the same (internal mic quality is good).
I want to connect an ordinary 3.5mm external microphone to Z2, but couldn't achieve that yet. This CTIA jack is really interesting, and has 5 pins.
Any advices how to do this?
I also have the STM10 and can confirm that it is very good at recording sound. Particularly in loud environments. I was at a gabba techno night this weekend and recorded some video with the microphone attached and I was very impressed. I will post the video to give you an idea later on this evening. For the money (around £30) it is well worth purchasing and looks pretty sweet when attached as well.
Hello everybody !
As i promised, here it is a video of Beyonce and Jay-Z concert at Stade de France that i record in UHD with STM10 with my Xperia Z2.
I confirm that the quality of the mic is just great !!! I'm really happy that i bought this mic before this concert
Enjoy !

Hey dude can you please confirm is STM10 works with non-Sony devices???
Does anyone have it? How's the quality for $20? I can't seem to find any reviews on YouTube
I just received mine yesterday so I haven't had a chance to fully test them. Initial thoughts are for $20 and USB-C, I'm satisfied. I mainly used them to listen to podcasts today and voices were clear.
I can't attest to the bass on these yet since I didn't listen to much music. I'm not expecting any miracles but I imagine they will be decent (considering the cost). I think they might lack that deeper punch of the bass but I also haven't messed with the equalizer too much (other than setting to Type-C Bullets and just a quick custom equalizer).
I do like the fact they had volume up and down on them. I didn't have any complaints when making a call using them from the person on the other line and I heard them clearly.
They feel like pretty good quality to me and fit my needs. I'm not a super audiophile like some but I definitely feel like they are worth the cost. Hope that helps.

I ordered a set with my 6t. Finally got a chance to listen to some Tool today. the album Aenma is my go-to audio test. It sounds snobby, but coming from Axon 7, the sound is just okay, not great, but for $20 it is serviceable, and thats after adjusting the EQ settings, etc of the phone. If you're looking to be blown away by the sound or the loose mention of a "DAC", you may be disappointed. It is an okay soundstage. Volume is acceptable and clarity is okay, but ultimately, if you are an audiophile or really are in to HiFi music, you probably own a great set of IEM's already.
I listen at about 60% volume typically. When i pushed up towards 80-90%, the sound had some bleeding of highs, but no crackle. The soundstage is much more balanced at 60-70% volume. Ultimately, they will bleed over and the lows will bottom out at 80-90% volume, but hey, for $20, you really cannot go wrong.
The more i listen do different styles/sounds, the more i realize these are rather versatile. i have edited this post a couple of times already and will continue to do so if i feel there is something else to add.
The earbuds, much like the phone, are a great value for the coin, but if you are discerning, you will notice they are $20, not $200 earbuds, but for the price, you cannot go wrong. I recently purchased a set of $20 Sony earbuds for the Axon, and i can honestly say, comparing apples to apples, the One Plus Bullets usb c are a much better sound than those, and the Axon has a real DAC. You would be hard pressed to find a better $20 set of earbuds.
Does anyone know if these work with Google Assistant and/or Google Translate? I'm on the fence about these and the Pixel USB-C buds.
Thanks
It works with Google assistant when keep pushing the middle button.
I have also wireless bullets and I think that type c have more bass.
Anyway I believe that is fair for the price.
By the way with viper4android we can do whatever we want.
