hi all,
I am using QTEK 1010 and I generally get a GSM problem when the device has low battery. After the "low battery" notice, people calling me can not reach me. Callers hear the phone ringing, but I dont hear any calling ring.
I am sure this problem has been reported before, but I dont have much idea what to do about it.
Do I have to upgrade rom, or what else am I supposed to do?
I'd appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Oguz

ok I got a Tmobile 4.00.10 ROM inside my O2XDA with 4.21 radio and I found this bug just today... when my unit is CHARGING via the USB cable WITH THE SCREEN OFF, my friend sent me an SMS, I dont receive it at all. The unit just wake up and run the Activesync program to sync with the computer. If I remove the cable, everything goes back to normal again.
those with the Tmobile ROM 4.00.10, can you guys please help me verify this??? CHARGE your unit WITH THE SCREEN OFF and get someone to send you an SMS, and if its confirmed that the SMS dont go through, we got some serious issue here...
WE CANT BE POSSIBLY CHARGE THE XDA WITH THE SCREEN ON ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just did a quick test and I got my SMS with no problems. But I do have T-Mobile service with a T-Mobile radio stack. Perhaps this makes a difference.
well, maybe with Tmobile service with Tmobile radio stack doesnt face this problem...I am using Tmobile ROM with 4.21 radio stack on an O2 XDA, I wonder does it really make a difference..
hey..

I think that's the way it is in WM 2003 - the screen does not light up for SMS notifications. A battery saving feature?
It is by design that alerts do not wake the unit up completely in WM2003. The only thing that does so is a phone call. Everything else just triggers an alert. Personally, I like it, because I don't whip my phone out for every SMS or email I get.
cool
thanks for the replies..i didnt think it was a serious problem..but just something to get used to from using wm2002
i think you guys misunderstood what i am saying
what i am saying is, you wont get any SMS coming in when you charge with a USB activesync cable with your screen turned off...
try it guys!!
This is really frustrating!
The signal on my phone shows good reception, but meanwhile the phone is off. When people call me, they get forwarded to my voice mail, although the phone never rang in the first place!
Does anyone else have this problem, and better yet... how do you fix it?
Thanks!
when you ask the same question in more then one forum all you get is
that you push out a question which may not have been answered yet
and thereby limit the posiblity of the person seeking help ever
being found by somebody who got answers
please dont! think of the children
have you checked the divert setting in the "phone" control panel, perhaps it is set to forward all calls to voicemail??
if you can make outgoing calls, then it is a call forwarding problem.
This used to happen to me also, and also happend to my friend using an mpx. We also were both on Tmobile in the states so I thought it was some network problem either on tmobiles end or PPC. However this has not happened to me since I upgraded to the 1.72 rom
Rudegar, that was an honest mistake... first time I post on here.
As for the phone problem, this happens on its own. For example, I'd have my phone on, use it, then hang up. The phone now is still on, but 'off the hook'. A while later someone would call and get forwarded to my voice mail because the phone is off... on its own. I don't know if I'm explaining this well enough but that's what's happening. I will try upgrading, but how does one do that?
Thanks!
no problem happens to the best of them or so they've told me
Hi, I have an htc titan and I live in Italy; I bought it from expansys because here in not on sale yet..My problem is this: when I plug the headphones ( any brand from htc to something else) I'm not able to receive or make phonecalls but I can receive and send sms and the very strange thing is that this happens only with my operator ( TIM) but not with my wife's (Vodaphone). I went to a TIM shop and I've tried new simcards but nothing has changed...Htc cstumor service told me to try to uninstall all the apps I've installed to see if someone of them is causing the problem...what do you think? I am the only one on earth to have this kind of problem...???
Thank you!
Can anybody hell me??

I can't Hell you but i guess i can help you LOL j.k
Well, there is a few thing you need to check.
1. Set all region to Italy
2. Make sure TIM has the required Freq for Titan, EU Titan would be fine, not sure about AT&T one
3. Use Connection Setup to get the phone automatically set up.
4. yes, like ktdan1 said, check the speaker.
5. Describe more about the error. You should do a little video.
First of all thank you for your hell!!

1.The phone is already setted on Italy and usually ( i mean without the headphones plugged in ) is working fine..
2. I don't know how can I check the right Tim Freq for Titan and believe me the Tim customer service I don't think is able to know that..
3. I used the automatically set up
4. When the headphones are plugged in the speaker of the phone is not working...I mean the sound comes out of the headphone..
The point is that when I plug the headphones is like I lose the connection but not totally infact the bar is full of signal, i can receive and send sms but when I dial a number the phone call doesn't start and nobody is able to call me...
Another strange thing is that If I dial a number without the headphones I can make a call and then I can plug the headphones without any problems..is like the headphones are blocking just the start of the call...
As you know the headphones is also the antenna for the radio and even if I'm not a technician maybe that's could be the reason...
As I told you with my wife's simcard from vodaphone this problem doesn't happen..And I tried other simcards alway from Tim and some problem!
Please ask me anything you need to know to try to solve the problem..I'm sorry for the video..when I have a little more time I'll try to do it ( I have a 3 months old son and believe me having time for a cellular now is like looking for water in the desert..but I need to solve the problem beacuse I work with my smartphone..)
Ciao!

I see your problem now. Because the same thing happened to me. Can't confirmed yet but i was able to call somebody yesterday with the Headphone on, but the sound come out very crappy with a lot of "bzzzzzz" sound, also the sound of weak signal or something like that. But believe me, we are on the same boat. I used to see my Titan refuse to make a call, like when i dial a number, it just automatically end that call, and everyone who try to call me will receive "tut tut tut tut" rapidly.
I will try to investigate this thing out.
I thought you wasn't able to hear anything from the phone
Ohh is good to know that I'm not alone in this world!!!
Yes I have the same tu tut tu...
As I wrote I can send and receive sms with headphones in, can you?
The italian htc customer service really don't know anything about it! they always confuse the tytn with the titan!! after specyfing what telephone I have they told me to unistall all the apps that I have...but I dind't do it 'cause I'm quite sure this is not the problem...
Anyway, how can it's possibile that we're the only two unlucky guys with this problem?

Just wait for it. Probably because Titan is not well known at Italy and it isn't released yet?
I think this is a Hardware Issue somehow, because the headphone that HTC gives us is the same as the one i used on the HD7 and it perform without anyproblem on HD7.
I will contact one of the old HTC American Tech Support who used to help me and i will ask him about it.
I also have a strange carrier related problem.. I used to have Norwegian Chess and no problem at all, but now I've changed to Telenor and got a new simcard.. Now, when I call people that have other carriers than Telenor, like my friend got Tele2, I get the calling tone thru the back speaker.. It's really loud and it's getting on my nerves.. Seems like the Titan really hates simcards?
Still nothing?

I am asking HTC right now, wait for my old technican guy.
Hey, I'm writing just to tell you that today I got the new update (Firmware Version: 20104 - Radio Software: 03.17 - Boot Loader-version: 2.1) but nothing has changed...
Bye!
Hi, finally I got a solution...I bought a bluetooth headphones...
I have had the phone since launch and I have just started to get this problem happen 3 or 4 times a day now.
It has come to the point where I make calls on my old Nokia work phone.
Does anyone else have this problem?
It happens to me on reciveing calls or making them , the other person can not hear anything but I can hear them fine.
I am going to try and return my phone for a exchange tommorow.
i had the opposite problem, sometimes i cant hear who's calling me but they can hear me. The strange thing is that this problem disappeared when i changed my carrier from Vodafone Italy to Wind Italy.
When somebody calls me, they don't hear the phone ring on their side (i think its called a ringback or something like that) for some reason. I hear it ring, but they can't tell if the call is being connected or not. I find this kinda of strange and not sure what the issue is. Is it a Tmobile issue or a phone issue?
I am mostly on wi-fi calling and not sure if this is what is causing the issue, but it could be. I've actually seen times where I call people and sometimes I don't here the ringing as well. Has anyone else faced an issue like this? I hope I explained the issue clearly on here, its kinda hard to explain.
Thanks.
Interesting. Ive had friends complain about this when I was on wifi calling on my S2. Im thinking its a TMo issue.
that is interesting so it could be be a T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling issue.
Thanks
