HTC TyTN change IMEI - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hi everyone,
I have a HTC TyTN. I want to change IMEI number. (It has bought legally.. not stolen or any illegal operation..)
I want to change because of I use a program on my old PDA. So this program registered on my old PDA. The company doesn't support this program any more.. SO i have to change.
How can i do this?
My device Information
HTC TyTN
Model : HERM200
Rom Ver. 1.18.255.3
ExtROM ver. 1.18.255.106
Thanks.

IMEI changing can get you in a whole ton of trouble darkdark. Most countries have laws against this. No solution for hermes has been posted here to my knowledge. What program are you tryiing to run? Perhaps there is another way to accomplish what you want.

I know their low problems but i have to do.. I have a special software on my old pda. So it has been developed as to my requests(some type commercial). So this software company closed down.
It is working only my old PDA IMEI ...

if that's the case why dont you pay someone to write a wrapper program to trick your "special software" to think it's running with the old PDA's IMEI. I believe it's do-able.

T-Mobile PocketPC phone has no phone signal and can't upgrade to WM2003

I got a Wallaby PW10B1 from my friend.
The original ROM version is 4.01.16, but doesn't work.
When I downgrade it to 3.17.03 or special_rom_1.2, the PDA part works, but there is no phone signal.
I also tried some other WM2003 version rom, all of them don't work, which I saw a T-mobile screen and can't go further.
Could you guys help me to figure out the problem?
Thanks!
Where are you located?
PW10B uses 900/1900 MHz gsm networks.... Maybe this causes your problems with the signal.

Thanks for your reply. I'm in State College, PA, and have no idea which frequency Cingular is using here. I went to Cingular Store here, and put one of their SIM card in my phone, but there is still no signal.
I noticed another thing, with most PocketPC 2002 BIOS, my device is recognized as PW10A1, but on the back it's PW10B1. I tried couple of WM2003 ROM, none of them is working (can't enter the PDA OS, system will hung there after the logo is showed)
Do you guys have any idea what kind of problem it could be?
radio stack
rember i had same sort of problem try changing the radio stack don't use the 4.16 i could not get it to work

Thanks man! I will look at it.
Here's What You Need To Do . . .
Hi, bryt.
From the information you have provided, it appears as though you have an incorrect ROM image loaded on your XDA. The PW10B1 will adopt the personality of a PW10A1 if the ROM image for a PW10A1 is loaded onto it. However, this will not make a PW10B1 function as a PW10A1.
The biggest drawback of having the wrong ROM image loaded on your XDA is that you cannot apply the OEM ROM updates that were originally supplied by A.T.& T. Wirelese and Siemens. The reason these OEM ROM images won't load is because they actually do some device validation before loading. Originally implemented as a safety precaution, these device validation routines have become a hinderance because they prevent you from forcing a ROM update to correct a previous bad ROM update. There is good news though . . .
The PW10B1 has a mode that allows byte copying a ROM image directly from a flash card to the XDA ROM. I have converted the Siemens OEM Windows Mobile 2003 Update to a flash-writable nk.nb1 image file that can be written to a Secure Digital (SD) flash card and then force-loaded onto the PW10B1.
I developed this process after loading an undesirable ROM image on my PW10B1 in order to unlock it, which was successful. But, then I had a terrible time getting the OEM Windows Mobile 2003 Update back on the XDA.
I make the OEM installer version of the Windows Mobile 2003 Update available on my web-site. I do not offer the flash-loadable version on my web-site though. If you are interested in having the flash-loadable version of the OEM Windows Mobile 2003 Update, let me know and I will place it on my web-site and send you a link. The file is 32MB uncompressed and about half that size compressed, so I will probably put it on the web-site as a .zip file if you decide that you would like it.
Good luck!
Lisa

How to add a new network operator?

I bought a new HTC Softbank X01HT phone from China and bought it back to New Zealand. I have successfully changed all the settings to NZ network, except quite often it won't ring when someone calls me... I have got sms/txt working, internet access working, i can make calls, and sometimes i can receive calls...
If i take the battery out and restart it, I get a message which says "Your current operator 53001 is not supported. You should obtain an update from your device vendor..."
The countries pre supported are Ausi, hong kong, INdo, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand..... but not New Zealand.
My ROM version s 1.23.707.4
Rom Date 07/21/06
Radio Version 1.16.00.00
Protocol Version 32.53.7018.01H
Model Herm200
Pocket PX
Vodafone have been no help as they say they don't support parallel imported items, nor were Imate, same reason, kind of expected that.
Any ideas? this phone is really cool, but if i can't receive calls or roam with it, its basically useless for me...
ROM upgrade?
upgrading your device's ROM (and radio ROM) will probably fix your problem.
you should COMPLETELY read the wiki here at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Hermes and also Mr Vanx *excellent* upgrade guides at http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/
read BOTH before you try to upgrade or risk bricking your device. however, a ROM upgrade will probably fix your device.
does not seem like your device is SIM-locked (or else it wouldn't work at all with your SIM), but you might want to read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=301952 nonetheless
Sounds like you've got one of the Dopod roms installed. There are a few things you can try before upgrading the rom and radio.
1. Ignore the message. Just install the operator settings for your carrier manually or with a pre-made cab file. Some of them are listed here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_provider_cabs , others you'll probably have to search for.
2. If installing your own settings still causes a conflict try deleting the other settings or use Bandswitch to disable them.
3. Try a hard reset and then, just before the customisations start, do a soft reset. The stuff Dopod put in their extended rom won't be installed but you'll also lose the 'operator not supported' message. You'll also have to manually input your carrier settings.
4. Upgrade to one of the wm6 roms but, as SkyyBoy says, be careful. Definately run Olipro's hardspl 2.10 (hardspl v7) and read Mrvanx's guide before beginning.
Oh yes, could you extract the 'you got message' sms notifies and post it here. I think it's kind of cool, but I'm too lazy to downgrade my rom just to get it.
I've just downgraded to the same ROM as you and I'm fine sending and receiving calls using my O2 and Vodafone sim cards (both from UK). I'm currently in UK but have also used this rom in China without problems.
The only difference between your and my setup is that I currently have radio 1.38.00.10. Yours is 1.16.00.00 which is (I think) the radio which comes with pof's CID/SIM unlocker - because the original shipped radio with this rom is 1.06.00.10. This suggests that the phone is super CID (a good start).
The radio is a bit old (which could be the problem) so I'd suggest upgrading it to at least 1.27.00.00 - but you'll have to read the threads and do some experimenting to find the best one for you. You can get the radios here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_ExtractedRadioRoms.
Before you upgrade the radio use olipro's hardspl 2.10 (V7) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722. An error during radio upgrades is the quickest way to brick your phone and hardspl 2.10 will allow you an easy way to recover from this.
I am facing the same problem in order to add TIM Brasil, however I am not finding any cab file with the configurations
Someone could help me, please please?

Just got an x56, can someone help?

I just got an Siemens x56 off e-bay, it's unlocked and has wm2002. I'm looking to upgrade so that i can run the iphone skin/theme. Any suggestions as to what ROM i should upgrade to? I downloaded the bootloader but i'm not sure what Rom. It's AT&T branded but i'm using a cellphone company that not many people have heard of it's called UNICEL (they were just purchased by verizon).
ANY HELP ANYONE CAN GIVE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
THANKS A BUNCH
~nick
dont know anything about iphone skins as i find them as cool as fake tits
but 2003SE from here is pretty new guess thats a good bet
http://www.romkitchen.de/
Do you know the difference between wm2003SE and 2003 Final?
WM2003 final is just WM 2003 and WM2003SE is the SE-Version including the possibility to rotate the screen. For production use I suggest the WM2003 Final Version
Stefan
Ok, so i got the phone in the mail. It has
rom version 3.17.03 ENG
radio version A.20.10
Protocol version: 324e4
Model No.: PW10A1
IMEI:350314010360924
I put my sim card in and get no signal. Also, i found out i can't use active sync because i've got windows vista. however, windows vistas "windows mobile device center" only supports mobile version 2003 and up. I belive mine has one of the xda-developers versions of windows mobile.
I have an SD card reader so i can copy files directly to the card but i'm unsure how to boot the x56 to the card so i can install wm2003. My cell phone provider is a smaller company called "Unicel" they were just purchased by Verizon.
SOrry i'm such a newb. I really appreciate any help
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Wallaby_HT_FlashSD
have to use xdatools to get the rom to the sd in the right format
xdatools tells me i have to have Activesync running. Activesync doesn't run on vista.
i guess it have to be don from a xp box then
surely you can get access to one or dual boot beside the vista
ok, i was able to use a friends laptop and get wm2003 final installed (thanks to lumpistefan's rom kitchen) I had a program that was on the x56 when i got it that was a GSM freq selector. needless to say that program is now gone and i can't get my phone to work. Does anyone know where i can download this program or if there's an other way i can change the frequency?
Thanks for all the help so far guys.
ok, so i read in the wiki about how to change the band by doing a soft reset to the bootloader. However upon further research i've found that my lame cell company runs on GSM 890. Does anyone know how i can get my phone to 890?

Can Hard SPL change the IMEI

hi
I have a phone brought from ebay and flashed it with schaps newest rom, upgraded the radio and installed hard spl and used it for 4 weeks before it was barred. T mobile said it was a bad flash and to reflash it with the official firmware. I have done this numerous times. My imei has changed. It now says it is a number with a lot of 0's that doesnt match the back of the phone or it says 'failed', when i type *#06#. What has changed the imei and how can i get it back?
please help
thanks in advance
flashing will not change the imei at all, whether its hardspl or a rom
Check with *#06# if your imei has changed to 35519500000001701. This is a default imei, and usually happens when the security area of the device is damaged.
great
the mighty pof!!!!
Mr POF
can u help us unbrick the hermes with spl 2.03 ipl 1.04 NO GSM NO KITL NO CID????
yeh thats what its changed too. Is there anyway i can fix the security area? Please help and thanks
which radio version are you running?
1.41.00.10 i used the upgrade tutorial on mrvanx's htc site for the schaps rom
should i try a radio upgrade then do you think? if so what to? thanks

Dumb Question

My friend has the at&t phone he was looking at my phone the Mogul and wants teh programs I have on it. I use BuildOS from pcckitchen to do my building of roms. so my question is can he use the same program that I do?
If you're asking can he use the same os, he can use any HERMES os. To check what your Mogul is open the battery compartment, under the battery there is a sticker telling you fcc number, voltage etc... In the Hermes, at the top left corner it says Hermxxx (xxx= 100, 200 or 300). This tells you what version of HTC phone you have. The number doesn't matter.
If you have a Hermes then the os is Compatible, if not then it will brick his phone. Most 3rd party apps work.
Make sure he has Hard SPL installed before loading any OS's and see if his phone is sim locked. To unlock use this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293665
Then install Hard SPL ver 7 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=37669&d=1177280888
Then install whatever os your friend wants.
If you have a kitchen you may be able to cook your os using the Hermes os build.
Cheers...
Once again HTCs DUMBASS idea of naming the Hermes as the TyTN, THEN making a new model known as the TITAN (aka the sprint mogul).
The apps used SHOULD be ok in a hermes or titan kitchen however stuff like ready-built ROMs and radios are not interchangeable between the devices
