Upgrading radio packet - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hi
I have an italian version of Hermes with
ROM: 1.18.258.2
EXTROM 1.18.258.105
Radio 1.03.03.10
I would like to know if i can upgrade the radio packet with the version:
1.20.31.10 (type II)
Thanks & regards, lcs

you will need to unlock the sim and cid on your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=282073
then you will also need to downgrade your bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284401
then you can flash that different radio

just check your bootloader version, it must be 1.04 to be able to do a radio-upgrade only.
No need to SIM/CID unlock, bootloader 1.04 is the only requirement.

Can anyone tells the difference between different version of radio rom?

upgrading to 1.18.416.1 WWE ROM and keeping radio 1.16?

hi all
i CID-unlocked my tytn with the CID & SIM unlocker from here, which upgraded my radio to 1.16. thing is i get a much better reception now, and i saw that the rom has radio 1.14 with it. so- how is it? any good? and second, can i flash the new rom but keep my current radio? and if so, how?
sorry if it's all newbie questions...i've had quite few ppcs, but this is my first gsm device...
1.18.416 has bootloader 1.06 which doesn't has 'rtask' command needed to upgrade the radio, so you must stay in radio 1.14 if you flash this rom.

Downgrade Radio Rom -- help

Hi I have a Tytn with Radio Rom 1.34.00.10 and I need downgrate it to the original rom Radio Version 1.03.03.10 because It doesn't work very well and any call drop after only 5 minutes.

IPL-1.00

I try to downgrade with the original rom that I found on wiki.xda.... but when I reset the Tytn the rom is ever the 1.34.
Can everyone help me?

use SSPL to flash the rom, then the radio version will be downgraded, but the radio bootloader will be not.
If I use SSPL flash the warrenty is lost?
I need to send it to the CATA HTC because the phone drop every call.

No if you flash a shipped rom, but to downgrade the radio when you have radio bootloader 0108 you must use SPL 1.09, so use SSPL.

Upgrade Softbank X01HT to WM6

Please find below the infomation of my softbank X01HT which I bought few days ago. The softbank has been unlocked by the shop and is running traditional Chinese on WM5.
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.09
ROM Ver 1.23.708.4
ROM Date 07/24/06
Radio 1.06.00.10
Comm Protocol 32.37.7010.01W
Please advise if it is safe to run HARDSPL for upgrading to WM6.
Will there be any adverse/damaging effect?
Do I need to downgrade the ROM version before running HARDSPL V7.
Please advise the procedure.
Thank you in advance

I believe you can just put it into bootloader mode and flash the WM6 Dopod ROM. A friend of mine did this recently.
i hv just done it. i did not encounter any major problem except after flashing it with the official ROM, the storage memory is very low ....

yes it is safe... but you need an activesync partner ship setup to installl HardSPL as it needs to push SSPL to your device... for more information read www.mrvanx.org

with updating/installing HardSPL the device needs to be in Windows with activesync connected so SSPL can be pushed to the device...
I trid to install HardSPL Version 7 (2.10.olipro).
I activesync connected and run RUUWraper.exe
I go through all the selection right and on the last page after I click "next" I press yes on my Softbank. but the flash download didn't started and the Softbank reset and go into the engineering mode where I still see :
IPL- SSPL Des
SPL-1.09.ds
All my versions are the same as Ken which are:
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.09
ROM Ver 1.23.708.4
ROM Date 07/24/06
Radio 1.06.00.10
Comm Protocol 32.37.7010.01W
Could anyone advise any solution in proceed with HardSPL installation?
Thanks a lot
Henry

Downgrade for warranty reasons !

Hi guys I need to downgrade for warranty reasons (Vibrate stopped working)
I have been looking through mrvanx guide and it mentions
"SPL 1.04 (includes IPL 1.00) SPL 1.06 (includes IPL 1.01)"
The thing is my SPL was 1.04 and IPL 1.01 which seems to be a mix of the above !
my Radio version 1.05.05.00 but this is also not on the wiki.
Here are my phone details before
IPL-1.01
SPL-1.04
Rom version 1.21.110.3
Rom date 06/19/06
Radio version 1.05.05.00
protocol version 32.36.7010.04H
Will I need to get the exact same radio and rom version with rom date
or you think its possible they will over look these details aslong as WM5 and an early radio rom is flashed?
Thanks for any advice, Chris.
I really doubt that they would catch it as long as you have wm5. But, if they do, then just play dumb or try another store.
Thanks, I'll try that is there any risks when downgrading or uninstall HardSPL v7 ?
Once my phone had SPL 1.04 on it (after downgrading via MrVanx's method), I flashed the official rom from my carrier, and it returned me to the factory settings. One note, my phone is super CID.
The only T Mobile WM5 rom I can see is the Hungarian one in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=287338
will this one be ok for t mobile uk ?
The one from hungary is the only t-mob WM5 i know of. You can also search for a dumped one and reconstruct it.
one note: do not flash radio with htc_boot less than 0107 or you'll brick it, as for your signature you have htc_boot 0108 now.

Thanks for the advice I will deffentley do alot of reading before I downgrade.
So htc_boot less than 0107, does that mean 0107 are ok nothing lower or stick with htc_boot 0108 ?
I have no idea how to reconstruct a dumped rom so ill have to flash the hungay one.
0107 is ok, but nothing lower. To reconstruct a dumped rom, read the wiki

Upgrade radio rom

Hi guys , i'm a newbie . My radio version is : 1.16.00.00 , i want upgrade but don't know which rom is good for me . My bootloader is :
HERM200 IPL-1.01
HERM200
SPL-1.40.0lipro
Which radio roms i should choose ?
Upgrade to Hard SPL V7 first..... What you have is an older, unsafe version. Before flashing a radio rom you HAVE to upgrade so your SPL is 2.10 oli...
Also, the info you have given is useless... Radio roms are area and carrier specific.
Where are you and who's your carrier? You might receive an answer then....
Hello, picking up on an already open radio thread, does anybody know which is a good radio for Argentina (South America), carrier Personal?
Thanks!
