I have Qtek 9100 with IPL 1.01 and SPL 2.20.0001. When I switch on divice, it displeyed color screen and nothing more. I flash it whit many ROM's but IPL/SPL always is the same and did't work normal. How can I resolve the problem. Thanks!
Only with a JTAG device. It's a special device that can access the chips without the need for the phone to be working. But nobody knows which are the JTAG pins so no luck here.
The IPL 1.xx is meant for the G3 DOC chip Wizards and G4 all have IPL/SPL starting at 2.xx.xxxxx. Since IPL is the firt bootloader with information and addresses for SPL and since they don't match you'll never get out of that situation...

Try..
(1) put the phone in bootloader mode
(2) flash it with cingular 1.x radio (search for it)
you should get a normal device in the end

1) Flash only IPL/SPL from g4 (f.e. 2.26.0001) to get your SPL/IPL the same with italian RUU 2.5.2
2) Flash ROM without IPL/SPL italian RUU 2.5.2

I know O2 Atom is by Quanta and it uses CPLD (Complex programmble Logic Design!! I hope i remember this right).
this can't be compared at all, totally different technology. there is a whole separate section for the atom. just go to the forum root page and look for the atom.

during the upgrade it was around 15% that the upgrade utility show the error that device cannot connect.

Did you also read the wiki to see how to install hardspl to protect your device BEFORE flashing ?(here: http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=30&Itemid=27 )? Are you using Olipro hardspl?
Try to use the SDCARD method (Format a sdcard in FAT32. Copy the nbh file on it and rename it HERMIMG.NBH. Insert the card and HR : OK/POWER/Soft reset. Follow the instructions)

2a on PC ActiveSync - coonection properties untick allow to connect by USB
3. start mtty on PC , choose USB and enter.
4. next enter.
5. type set 14 and enter
6. type task 8 and enter
OS have to boot if no go to 7
7. enter
8 type set 16 and enter
9. type task 8 and enter

Pretty much all the info on unbricking is in this table by Pof. If this doesn't sort you out then you're have to send it off to imeicheck etc for repair.

I hope you understand this, Basically if
1. You have a "No GSM"
2. Your CID is corrupted
3. Your OS has no KITL mode
4. You didn't use HARDSPL...
Then your phone is screwed, and you need to buy a new one or send it to repair.
Hope you have better luck with your next phone. (you seem to be collecting bricked phones!)

The offical I-mate telstra Jasjam rom for WM6 came out recently previous to that i just kept the original WM5 rom that it came with much to the dismay of my peers, actually considered it a few times but decided against it till the official rom came out.
yeah if you follow the instructions for the WM6 rom you use it should be ok however the "Murphys law" of programming tends to suggest there will always be an error that they dont allow for.

This has NOTHING to do with only using official Roms! One has pretty much the same chance of bricking their phone evening using an official WM6 as a cooked variant from Schaps et al..
Simply put if you don't use HardSPL then you're asking for trouble no matter what the ROM. You should also use the MicroSD wherever possible as it is much more reliable.

What is the IPL and SPL?
If the wiki where up, I'd suggest looking at that, but as it is I'll explain it now...
What ROM where you attempting to upgrade to?
To get the device back, I would say "Read the wiki" but it's down!!!
Download this ROM.
In ActiveSync, disable "connect through USB" (File->Connection Settings).
Put the device into bootloader (the three coloured screen) and connect it to the computer using the USB cable.
Run the file you downloaded earlier. This should then install a new ROM.
From there, just wait for it to finish.
Now, it should work!
From there, you could re install the Orange WM5 ROM, or try upgrading to WM6. Make sure you read all the relevant guides first!

hi again brothers, pal zerocool. first u must unlock ur device to be able to accept any rom after that and solve pproblems.
first flash this rom its offecial and it solve dead prophet problems.
then make hard spl by program open file called hardspl.bat.
make hard reset.
flash ur rom u want.
make hard reset again.
then enjoy.
i uploaded the hardspl program but i couldnt upload the rom its so big so u can look in ur mail u will find the solution.
u can extract file by any program for zip.and tell me the news

Hi guys,
I have been using a sh... Nokia sine I broke my prophet G4 in december by upgrading the OS.
I had downgraded first to NVID and then I tried to upgrade and it fails at 95%.
Sine this day, my prophet seem totally dead, no light when plug on both charger or computer, windows do not recognize at all the device because it is turned off. And it really do not seem to charge...
I am living in China now and a guy told me I had to change the PB board...The ost is 100Euros, but I am almost sure I an find another solution...
The weird thing is I cannot charge it at all ( I mean no lights but does it charge a little?).
The guy tested my prophet with another battery and in that ase, it is stuck on the bootloader.
We tried several roms and it always fails at 95% and the error is 200 something, maybe 245 or 243, I do not remember sorry...
Is my phone hardware is dead? or it is just a software problem and I did not see the right guy?
Do I need to buy a new battery? I have read that sometimes the device is not able to recognize it even if it the offiial one and even if it is working on another device...
PLease help me I don't want to loose this phone that I've been using for almost 3 years...
Otherwise I will switch to an iphone but I am not sure to be as happy than I was with my prophet.

If yes, what are the IPL and SPL?
If not, it will be a hardware problem (may just be connectors to the battery but may be something more).
the only way of recovery is using jtag
but 1st we must discover the location of jtag pins on motherboard
I just do not know because with my actual battery, anything is possible....
when I tried with the guy and a new battery it was blocked on the bootloader, but don't remember the IPL and SPL...sorry
I may be right about the battery onnectors though, but the problems seem to be from the phone connectors or the battery it self???

If it can enter bootloader, it is almost certainly your battery at fault!
Ok so i burnt my battery during the upgrade...
But why is it still blocking at 95% when he tried to put a rom?
With his battery, it was stuck on the bootloader and not possible to install a rom, even a NVID WM5...
I really do not know what to do...

Hi guys I need some help. I have a Cingular HTC 8125, I was trying to upgrade the rom on it to a new WM6 and here is what happened.
I have been researching the topic for about 3 weeks.
Its a G4 Device being upgraded with VISTA w/ Moded drivers for Ative SYNC
IPL 2.25.0001
SPL 2.25.0001
I used the shell tool to install one of the roms waited about 2 hrs and finally noticed that the window was NOT RESPONDING so I had to shut down and start over. The phone got to the second screen but froze there now showing

OS 10.1.0.811
On the Cingualr Background, I can still enter the Bootloader screen but nothing else?
Nothing else happens I cant connect the phone to the PC to do anything else.
Is it bricked or not is my question and what can I do to flash OEM rom or something that will work.
I tried OEM Cingular rom but I get ERROR 260 No connection to the phone?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You should had firstly either hardspl or soft spl the phone b4 trying to load any rom
It's not bricked as long as you can see the RGB screen (Colors red, green and blue)showing the same IPL/SPL such as yours; IPL: 2.25.0001 and SPL: 2.25.0001. AND PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR DEVICE CAUSE ITS G4 MEANING YOU CAN NOT JUST INTALL/FLASH ROM. Make sure that the Rom you flash not contain G3 IPL and SPL which is 2.xx.001. If so, then you will bricked your device.
Desiji is right, you should install rom with softSPL or hardSPL.
Try to flash the Official Cingular Rom or Wizard Love Rom. If success, then you can install other Rom using what desiji said. Just make sure that its a G4 safe rom. And another thing, try to charge battery using wallcharger not in the device. U need enough battery to perform rom flashing.

Hey guys thanks, thats what I thought but I think my main problem is the VISTA I need to get a hold of XP and try all that because the Vista is having issues with connecting to the phone at the moment, I can not get it to show it as a device. It does make a beep noise when you connect/disconnect it so its doing something but Vista is just too much of a pain in the rear to deal with.
Its a good news that its not bicked so all hope is not lost.
What is the opinion on Tmobile WING!? any reviews should I get that phone instead?
BTW where do I find these G4 Safe ROMS? and how do I tell if they have the IPL/SPL in them? Do I need to hack them to tell?

YUP ! sure vista is still not compatible for flashing,WinXP is highly recommended and trouble free.
All official stock roms are safe to flash both the devices G3 or G4,secondly,all the latest custom build wm6 or wm6.1 are safe for both the devices,as they don't include any IPL/SPL in them.
If you plan to flash many roms,than 'HardSPL' is recommended,coz its done only once and the device remains semi_Cid unlock untill you personally remove HardSPL,but with SoftSPL,its done everytime you want to flash a new rom,choice is all yours,how you want to go about it.

the unlock seemed to go well the first time but, it won't come out of boot loader mode
i ran hornet o.10 for g4 it runs and completed to 100 % and then on reboot it comes up with the boot screen again

i ran the tnt 1933 rom this morning and it completed 100% but still i have a boot screen
i know im missing something the battery power is fine .
i downloaded the stock rom for cingular but it won't load it has error "(294) INVALID VENDOR"

Are you sure SPL is 2.21 and not 2.21.0001 as IPL 2.21.0001 ?
Well,if its 2.21 only,the phone's got mixed Bootloaders (IPL/SPL),IPL 2.21.0001 are G4 and SPL 2.21 is G3,I don't know how you got it,but your phone is 'Bricked'

as i said it never came out of boot mode after the unlock
and no errors were shown ...
i could get another and replaced the main board, this one is in new condition
except for the custom bricked rom . in the future i will not play with a g4

I recommend trying to flash back to original service provider ROM, then unlock again and try another. As long as you can get to bootloader (tri-color screen), there's still hope for your phone. When it's in this mode, and you plug in the USB, does it say USB at the bottom of the phone screen? If so, you are not dead yet.
Custom build wm6 roms like TNT etc... never Brick a G4 phone as no IPL/SPL is included in them,they are completely safe for G4 devices.What I can gather,it must be the wrong imei unlock code perhaps.

so i can swap the RRU with the nbf file i need ...
no file name change required on the xxx.nbf file

ok, i swapped out every RUU i could find i get errors from

im too new to figure this out ..can you extract a ipl / spl from an
official rom and then flash that to get the boot loader's back in sync
i found the att 8125 ipl /spl nbf when i flash, it runs to 100% reboots but no changes
anyone have a link to flashing just the ipl / spl on the g4
i am most thankful for any advise ..
try running the hardspl on phone, it might just work to revert it back to a G4 spl.

have you SuperCID your phone as of yet? Sounds like it is not unlocked.
Try that, and let me know if that makes a difference.

It sounds like the radio rom is corrupted... If you can try to flash the ORIGINAL SHIPPED STOCK ROM on to your hermes... It MIGHT fix the "No GSM" error...
If this doesn't work then you won't be able to use the Hermes as a phone again but you can load other OS's on and use as a PDA....
mikendawn, Super CID WON'T work to repair the radio rom. You seem to think its the be all and end all solution... Unfortunately this isn't the case...
Loading Hard SPL V7 on is as good as Super CIDing your Hermes as all it does is allow you to put other carrier/cooked roms onto your Hermes and allow you to use them.
No, not quite that, I thought his phone wasn't SuperCID. I didn't think it was the end all solution. Just thought it sounded like his phone was CID Locked.
