i have a big problem with my siemens sx56
i have tried to flash a new rom via exe with activesync and somehow the ppc lost connection with my computer, i got stuck on a screen saying upgrading please wait and couldnt recognize the device on any pc
then i have tried to install the rom from sd card with the bootloader, the bootloader didnt recognized the rom and after several tries the bootloader went down also
no i have black stripes on the display of my device and no solution
anyone have any idea for me?

I upgraded ROM on G4 Wizard CID-locked wizard from T-Mobile CZ 2.21 to Superrom 1.1. But after flash, wizard stuck in splashscreen with IPL/SPL.
I can go to bootloader, but when I tried to flash another ROM via RUU (T-Mobile CZ official, Superrom for CID-locked G4 or Novii Love), RUU said - Connection Error. Simply AS and RUU can't connect to PDA. PC identified Unknown device, when I plugged wizard to PC
I tried it on 2 PCs (1. AS4.2, 2. AS 4.5 beta2), nothing....

Are you doing it in the correct order? That sounds dumb i know...but i had a similar problem and found out it was because i wasnt doing it in the correct order.
You have to setup bootloader and then connect usb, if you do it the other way around you get some funny errors. Thats just what i found....it may not be of help to you.
Sorry if you know this already, just trying to help, im new too.

I know i wont be fixing your problem, but, you can be sure that after the comunication problem is solve, you can use the WizardLove rom.
I mess with my phone recently, and i got stuck at the bootloader, and that rom was the only one that worked.

Problem was found. When I tried to find driver for PPC automatically, PC found nothing, but when I manually chose driver from AS\Drivers, PC driver found
Now I can flash via RUU
i had the same problem was working till 5 am to solve it

I know it sounds noob´ish and it surely is, but I just cannot flash anything onto my Hermes right now. I´ve already WM6 and SPL1.13 on it. I also tried SPL1.09ds but all I get from the RUU updater is an Error260 when I try to flash a new WM6 version onto it. I also tried unticking USB connections in ActiveSync and manually starting the bootloader on my Hermes100. Can anybody give me a tip how it can be done?
PS.: Just tried the micro SD card flashing method which used to work here but doesn´t anymore! I´m really stuck now
what is your current SPL/IPL version??
to check press and hold the side ok button and the power button, then insert the stylus into the hole in the bottom of the device.

For me, I have same experience. I have tried 1.09ds and 2.10 (Hard-SLP), it alos not work for flash rom, display error[260] at final.
Do you have admin rights onyour machine? Also if you dont try with Force SSPL option. I get that error form work when I am not logged in as admin.
were are you stuck? if your stuck in bootloader or splash, look here
If you can still boot to OS, try to flash HardSplv7. if this is successfull, try to flash the new wm6, instead of using autodetect, click spl2.10, and check "is it hard spl?".

sorry, I am not stuck on my Hermes, it´s all good, but it won´t flash anything and yes, I have admin rights on XP. I´ve got IPL 1.00, SPL 1.13.Oli. I´d really like to update to a newer version of WM6 but I can´t. I even tried with force SSPL and even the HERMimg.nbh flashing method from card didn´t work.
What I can do off course is booting into WM6, but my WM6 version is a quite old one
PS: Troubleshooting info: When I try to flash HardSPLv7, my device is going into Tricolor mode (like it should) showing IPL-SSPL by Des and SPL-1.09.ds and XP hardware assistant is searching for drivers for an unknown USB device and after a while I´ll get the error260 :/

framework 3.0? no, I think I have 2.0, but thanks for the tip. But my problem is now solved I formatted my micro SD to FAT32 and that helped flashing directly from card. After that I tried flashing via USB and now that also works!
I need some expert help please! I have a Hermes (Orange SPV M3100) that I want to flash with a custom ROM but I am having a problem with ActiveSync losing the USB connection at the point that the device enters the bootloader screen. I am also unable to flash using the SD card method. I have flashed a Nike without any problems and I'm usually good with technical stuff so I think there must be something extra I need to do that I have missed. I hope that somebody can spare the time to help me solve the problem. Here are the details:-
I am trying to follow Mr Vanxs guide to flashing the ROM in windows Vista so that I can upgrade it from WM5 to WM6 and apply a custom ROM to load a new TouchFlo style OS. The first step in this process is to flash HardSPL using this guide but my problem with the USB connection won't let me do that. I have unlocked the device using Hermes Unlocker 3a so it is (or should be) SIM and CID unlocked and be SuperCID with HardSPL-1.40 (so maybe I can miss the Mr Vanxs HardSPL step?).
So, when I run the RUUWrapper.exe, choosing the Force option and accepting the messages I eventually get a prompt on the device. At this stage ActiveSync is connected. I click Yes on the device and it enters the bootloader screen which shows 'USB' on the tri-color screen but ActiveSync immediately drops the USB connection. The update then waits for a while then fails with Error 260. I have to do a soft reset to get the device out of the bootloader screen. When the device reboots the Activesync connection comes back to life.
I thought that I maybe don't need to HardSPL first so I tried just going straight to the ROM upgrade but I get the same problem.
Also, I tried following this link to flash using the SD card instead of USB but when I get to step 6 I don't see a confirm message - just the usual bootloader screen (it doesn't help that the screen shot doesn't appear on the link so I'm not even sure if I'm getting the correct screen). Any ideas?
I realise that an answer to this probably already exists somewhere on the forum but I have spent hours trawling through posts and I can't find it so I hope somebody has come across this before and can help me out.

Don't worry I solved it by rebooting my PC, skipping the HardSPL and flashing with an official ROM (HTC_TyTN_WWE_3.54.255.3_6275_1.48.00.10_108). I can now apply custom ROMs.

I'm having problems with my niki100. When I power it up, it stucks in the second screen with the red letters at the bottom giving the radio version and other data.
The problem started after flashing a new rom:
PTG cleanblack wm 6.5 "showthread.php?t=689898"
Before installing this rom I was tring the ROM from Dj_series VA11, but there were some problems to get the phone to work, it was going to offline mode not setting up the connection to the mobile operator. Befrore changing any rom I've done the hardspl 1.22.
Now it's not working, I've done a hardreset, but it's the same, I can´t get active sync to work in order to do some flashing, I tried to enter to bootloader pressing camera and power button, the 3 color menu says USB when connecting the usb cable but on the labtop theres no port associated in device manager and no possible communication between niki and PC.
Any help would be thankfull..
Problem solved !
I've tried to flash it again through sd card with the same rom and the problem remain. After that I've changed the image on the sd card to the previous version (Dj series) , renamed the image on sd, camera*rst* and power button simultaneous, flash from sd and it went ok.
It's working now !

OK, so I tried to install nand android on my htc hd2 and firstly I installed hspl 3 on it then as instructions said I updated ROM version to MAGLDR ... And now phone is frozen right after I turn it on it only shows me O2 welcome message. Please don't tell me that it is coz the phone is locked to o2 network because there r so many threads and no one mentioned that u can't install android if the phone is locked or I missed something SO any help pls? I am freaking out that my phone is dead.

When I press a red button near the sim card while holding volume down and it shows 3 colour screen and connect it to the pc , pc does make a sound as phone was recognised but it doesnt come up with any windows or anything that I could see that phone is there.. Is there any way I can install old rom or smthing to get my poor phone back, please help me, I am not experienced in this at all and first attempt failed
Put the phone into BootLoader mode. At the bottom of the screen you will see 'Serial'. Now plug it into your computer and the 'Serial' changes to 'USB' - you have made a good connection to the computer. The computer doesn't recognise it as a phone, because the phone firmware has not been booted up, so don't wory about it.
Run the O2 ROM form the computer. One of the conditions is that you have made an ActiveSync connection, just tick the box and proceed.
Once the ROM has flashed, it is advised to do a hard reset, but I have never had a problem not doing it.
Now you are back to the begining.
You are getting a little mixed up between Operator (SIM) Locked and Firmware Locked. They are independant of each other. You can SIM unlock your phone, which means you can use any telecom's SIM card in your phone even though the phone boots up with an O2 logo. You can unlock the firmware (HSPL) so that you can use the stock HTC ROM (not the 3.14 version) or one of the excellant custom ROMs, now the phone won't show any of the O2 stuff but you are still limited to using O2 SIM cards.
Now you have to Run HSPL2 and select the SPL 2.08.HSPL. Since you want to run Android NAND you have to flash a .50 RADIO - try the 2.15.50.14 RADIO.
I would have a real good read * HERE *. And if you want to go ahead, the read it again.
