Downgrade my OS - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 ROM Development

Hi!
I have a question. I tried many OS for my PocketPC out, but now, I wanted to recover a normal Update and the Update aborts with the sentence, that the installation is not for this PPC.
THe NBF File is too old. What can I do? Would someone like to help me?
That would be genius. Thanks. I have the PPC version of O2 XDA Neo

Only UK customers?

Just downloaded the new ROM update for Qtek2020/XDA-II from O2..
I doesnt work, it says "error 120, country id error" and that the ROM image doesnt work with my Pocket PC
And in the PDF file it says that the upgrade only works for O2 UK customers... what about me? I bought my Qtek here in Copenhagen denmark? How can I get this upgrade?
The distributer of Qtek here in DK is as good as invicibel, so is the information/support...
Can anyone help?
Regards
Peter
At this URL:
http://www.sourceo2.com/O2_Developers/Devices/O2_Xda_II/XdaIIRom.htm
you download the two ROM files (XDA II upgrade and XDA II launch ROM)
First, install the Launch ROM and your Qtek is flashing with the original O2 ROM. Then launch the XDA II upgrade and it's OK.
I done this opération with my Qtek (previously ROM 1.60WWE) and it works perfectly!
Hey!
Thank you very much for you reply!
i downloaded the Flash ROM, but the program seems to Quit after the little grey menu has been there saying that its checking my device?
Anyway nothing really happens after that... know what that could be?
Regards
It's strange, what is your ROM version?
Have you ever try a flash operation before?
No I havent.
My ROM version is 1.60.00WWE
and extRom version is 1.60.21
Damm!!
Now I got the ROM update intaller started... but unfortunatly it stopped after deleting my old ROM and showed an error message...And now the Qtek is completely dead... it just says "Serial v.1.02" in the dark display...
I tryied this one time before, also trying to update the ROM.... and the only thing to do is send it to the manufacturer and wait at least 2 weeks for them to reinstall everything.
Hm, well, I dont suppose anyone knows a trick to get it running again?
Regards
Peter
Ouch! I'm sorry for you.
Read this forum, but I believe that you can copy the ROM directly by the SD Card, but I do not know any more.
Try to change the title of the topic to ask an assistance.
I hope that all will be arranged

SD downloading, Sections=3, not allow update?! Why.......??

I've backup the BOOTLOADER + CE +Radio + Ext ROM to a file(use the command d2s adress1 adress2.........) and save it to PC already. (XDA II ) (for both Eng. XDA II and Trad. Chinese XDA II)
I've backup both version of Eng, and Trad. Chinese.
And then I copy the Eng backup combine rom to SD card and enter the bootloader mode in the Trad. Chinese XDA II, it work, it start to flash and completed.
I copy the Trad.Chinese backup combine rom to SD card and enter the bootloader mode in the Eng. XDA II , it work, it start to flash and completed.
It's several months ago, they works.
Yesterday, I try both the Eng/Trad. Chinese ROM on a arabic i-Mate XDA II, it fail at bootloader mode and stop at SD downloading, sections =3, not allow update, I just don't know why?
It's a matter of country ID or different between XDA II and i-Mate? What can I do to continue the flash?
With many thanks

hi FlashGordon,
can you please show us how can you backup the BOOTLOADER + CE +Radio + Ext ROM? Can yu do it in XDA 1? Thanks
@flashgordon: it seems that all 1.72.xxx versions out there do an update of the bootloader from 1.01/1.03 to 1.06. i tried this by updating my o2 xda2 1.66.231ger to a qtek 2020 1.72.01ger (eplus). there is no set of update files out so far, so a brave guy copied the rom-images of his brand new qtek 2020 to sd-card and spread it around in a german ppc forum. unfortunately i got rid of my old bootloader 1.01 and have now 1.06. from this moment on i get the same message you get when i try to update using a non-o2 update. a second bad effect is that downgrading to version before 1.66 do no longer work.
this is no solution but a little more background informations for you.
good luck
peter

Please could you send it me. i have WsFTP, ICQ, messenger or SD card through the post. Matthew
I've study on how to post the file in these 2 days.
now
CE (Asia O2 Eng)
Not sections=3 is not allow to upgrade.
Even Sections=1, Sections=2 will not allow to upgrade
But................
You can use your own Backup ROM to crack the restriction.

succeeded Hard SPL on xda mini s and what to do?

Hi,
I made use of the below link in a process to upgrade to WM 6.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/?pagename=Wizard%20Windows%20Mobile%206%20for%20newbies
I had succeeded in Hard SPL (now showing SPL as 2.21.olip)and tested whether it is CID LOCKED OR NOT.
It is still CID locked. Because when I tried Rom upgrade from WM 6 Crossbow version it is showing CID error.
In the above link, G4 safe ROMs are mentioned and I don't what versions are they and where to download. All what I have is crossbow , ppc versions and neither are working.
KINDLY, CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT TO BE DONE AFTER THE PROCEDURE IN THE ABOVE LINK. PLEASE HELP ME......

downgrades would work like upgrades just with an older nbf file
pretty sure the upgrade tool don't care that the nbf is an older then the current
How do i get a upgrade tool and how do i know where to get the 'nbf' file. Will it break my phone?
upgrade tool is called HimaUpgradeUt.exe
and is included in all zip and rar rom packets
the .nbf file is the rom also included in the rom packets
how you flash and what to be careful of
