I have a M600 G4 that does not start.
Make hard resets without result. I prove to enter boot (3 colors) but any attempt to install the ROM in diferents pc, and always gives to communication errors (264, 302...),
Some solution.

If in ActiveSync you disable the 'connect through USB' option, and then try flashing it with an AKU2.2 ROM, it should work.

I know it sounds noob´ish and it surely is, but I just cannot flash anything onto my Hermes right now. I´ve already WM6 and SPL1.13 on it. I also tried SPL1.09ds but all I get from the RUU updater is an Error260 when I try to flash a new WM6 version onto it. I also tried unticking USB connections in ActiveSync and manually starting the bootloader on my Hermes100. Can anybody give me a tip how it can be done?
PS.: Just tried the micro SD card flashing method which used to work here but doesn´t anymore! I´m really stuck now
what is your current SPL/IPL version??
to check press and hold the side ok button and the power button, then insert the stylus into the hole in the bottom of the device.

For me, I have same experience. I have tried 1.09ds and 2.10 (Hard-SLP), it alos not work for flash rom, display error[260] at final.
Do you have admin rights onyour machine? Also if you dont try with Force SSPL option. I get that error form work when I am not logged in as admin.
were are you stuck? if your stuck in bootloader or splash, look here
If you can still boot to OS, try to flash HardSplv7. if this is successfull, try to flash the new wm6, instead of using autodetect, click spl2.10, and check "is it hard spl?".

sorry, I am not stuck on my Hermes, it´s all good, but it won´t flash anything and yes, I have admin rights on XP. I´ve got IPL 1.00, SPL 1.13.Oli. I´d really like to update to a newer version of WM6 but I can´t. I even tried with force SSPL and even the HERMimg.nbh flashing method from card didn´t work.
What I can do off course is booting into WM6, but my WM6 version is a quite old one
PS: Troubleshooting info: When I try to flash HardSPLv7, my device is going into Tricolor mode (like it should) showing IPL-SSPL by Des and SPL-1.09.ds and XP hardware assistant is searching for drivers for an unknown USB device and after a while I´ll get the error260 :/

framework 3.0? no, I think I have 2.0, but thanks for the tip. But my problem is now solved I formatted my micro SD to FAT32 and that helped flashing directly from card. After that I tried flashing via USB and now that also works!
I need some expert help please! I have a Hermes (Orange SPV M3100) that I want to flash with a custom ROM but I am having a problem with ActiveSync losing the USB connection at the point that the device enters the bootloader screen. I am also unable to flash using the SD card method. I have flashed a Nike without any problems and I'm usually good with technical stuff so I think there must be something extra I need to do that I have missed. I hope that somebody can spare the time to help me solve the problem. Here are the details:-
I am trying to follow Mr Vanxs guide to flashing the ROM in windows Vista so that I can upgrade it from WM5 to WM6 and apply a custom ROM to load a new TouchFlo style OS. The first step in this process is to flash HardSPL using this guide but my problem with the USB connection won't let me do that. I have unlocked the device using Hermes Unlocker 3a so it is (or should be) SIM and CID unlocked and be SuperCID with HardSPL-1.40 (so maybe I can miss the Mr Vanxs HardSPL step?).
So, when I run the RUUWrapper.exe, choosing the Force option and accepting the messages I eventually get a prompt on the device. At this stage ActiveSync is connected. I click Yes on the device and it enters the bootloader screen which shows 'USB' on the tri-color screen but ActiveSync immediately drops the USB connection. The update then waits for a while then fails with Error 260. I have to do a soft reset to get the device out of the bootloader screen. When the device reboots the Activesync connection comes back to life.
I thought that I maybe don't need to HardSPL first so I tried just going straight to the ROM upgrade but I get the same problem.
Also, I tried following this link to flash using the SD card instead of USB but when I get to step 6 I don't see a confirm message - just the usual bootloader screen (it doesn't help that the screen shot doesn't appear on the link so I'm not even sure if I'm getting the correct screen). Any ideas?
I realise that an answer to this probably already exists somewhere on the forum but I have spent hours trawling through posts and I can't find it so I hope somebody has come across this before and can help me out.

Don't worry I solved it by rebooting my PC, skipping the HardSPL and flashing with an official ROM (HTC_TyTN_WWE_3.54.255.3_6275_1.48.00.10_108). I can now apply custom ROMs.

I have a big problem. I flashed my HTC Touch Dual (Swisscom XPA Touch Dual with Italian language) with SSPL first. Then I forgot to flash the device with uSPL or HardSPL and a new ROM (official HTC wm6.1 German) was failed in the middle. Now I have the "upgrade rom code error". Flashing the HardSPL or uSPL is imposible now, bcause of the "ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR". I can't find the original ROM (swisscom italian) for the device, all other official ROMs brake with the error " ERROR [294]: INVALID VENDOR ID" (because there is no HardSPL / uSPL, right?). I have USB connection in bootloader mode (can go there only, the operator system is lost) but in the device manager there is MICROSOFT USB SYNC and not HTC USB SYNC (can't identificate the device, only as a "Qualcomm..." in "devices and printer (WIN 7 x64). I have done all the steps for "drivers for WIN 7" and tried it on a (virtual) WIN XP with the same results. Is there a way to save the system with mtty (it's too difficult for me) or other processes?

I got it after two days full of desperation! Mtty was the solution. Two simple commands like "set 16 0" and "task 8" and my device was ready for flashing again. But now step by step.
I have a new ROM on it. Great!

Always showing bootloader screen with rom upgrade error
I was trying to revert to windows custom rom from android (due to frequent freezing) and then onwards booting the phone I am always getting the bootloader screen displaying rom upgrade error.
I tried hard reset but still the same problem persists, then I downgraded the HSPL 2.08 to SPL-1.42.HSPL and then tried reinstalling the custom rom but still the same problem persists. In between after downgrading the HSPL, I tried task 29, it was unsuccessful after 96% (shows Invalid Command (Error 290)), while reinstalling the customRUU I have, I got something like error 270 at the end (it goes fine till 100%).
I also tried with installing the radio (ver 2.15.50.14) in between but to no effect
Please help me in fixing the issue, my phone is of no use now

what ROM are you trying to start? I was stuck on HTC logo too, when I tried to start a ROM without installing Striped ROM first, which was highly needed. So I done hard reset(three color screen), and flashed again.
For starters, put in bootloader, connect to PC (1st untick "Allow USB Connections" in activesync) and run Hard SPL V7. Install it on your Herms and hope it works because otherwise you are in for a whole heap of hairpulling frustration...
If you get Hard SPL onto your Hermes then use the sd card method to flash a new rom...
You could have avoided this by doing a little research instead of going full pelt into flashing, you Hard SPL BEFORE you get into trouble, NOT AFTER....

I have a similar problem with a T-Mobile branded TyTn from a friend of mine who thought flashing ROMs without putting device into HardSPL would be clever.
The devices has also IPL-1.04 and SPL-2.03 and from the bootscreen it looks like WM5 should have been installed. I also get the "NO GSM" message and I REALLY tried every fking method but without success.
I even created a Goldcard (and verified on another device it's working, level 0 instead FF) and tried to flash several ROMs (also Cingular WM5 ROM and original german T-Mobile ROM) but no luck.
I also tried to run HardSPL V7 but as far as I remember it just said it cannot connect.
Funny thing: HardSPL V9 DOES start flashing and on the PDA and the PC the bar shows 100% but some moments later it says "Could not update" (or something like that).
I even tried different mtty methods from several posts from the forum (erasing the NAND on different ways, qtek loader method with erasing the first blocks) but I'm really really frustrated now and I believe there is no solution here?! (device has no guarentee)
So, if someone has ANY hint or useful information write it down or send me a PM.
I gladly appreciate your help and hope for a solution!

I'm having problems with my niki100. When I power it up, it stucks in the second screen with the red letters at the bottom giving the radio version and other data.
The problem started after flashing a new rom:
PTG cleanblack wm 6.5 "showthread.php?t=689898"
Before installing this rom I was tring the ROM from Dj_series VA11, but there were some problems to get the phone to work, it was going to offline mode not setting up the connection to the mobile operator. Befrore changing any rom I've done the hardspl 1.22.
Now it's not working, I've done a hardreset, but it's the same, I can´t get active sync to work in order to do some flashing, I tried to enter to bootloader pressing camera and power button, the 3 color menu says USB when connecting the usb cable but on the labtop theres no port associated in device manager and no possible communication between niki and PC.
Any help would be thankfull..
Problem solved !
I've tried to flash it again through sd card with the same rom and the problem remain. After that I've changed the image on the sd card to the previous version (Dj series) , renamed the image on sd, camera*rst* and power button simultaneous, flash from sd and it went ok.
It's working now !
