hi, i have installed tomtom 5.0 but i cant pair my gps bluetooth(sysonchip). I worked with tomtom3.x and 4.x. When i launch tomtom and try to setup the gps, i only can bound with com2, 6, and 9. Any idea?
I have had the same problem with TomTom and Oncourse Navigator 4.2, I believe it is an incompatibility problem with WM2005. I tried using the built-in GPS manager in WM2005, but I do not think it is working in this version, or it will only work with newer GPS porgrams compatible with 2005.
Solved¡¡¡
The problem is TomTom list only the ports that appears in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\Active but when you create an outgoing port (with the BT applet), it isnt included in this list. I ve create a little C program (5 kb) that include the port com5 manually, so Tomtom can see it and you can Select it. I ve put a link to this program in windows\startup to be executed after each reset. Now it works ))
If someone need it i can post it....
YES! Post it here, please ...
Thanks in advance.
Hi, This is the way it worked for me.
1) Create a outgoing port (5) to connect with the gps
2) Place the patch in \windows\startup (to be executed each time you reboot).
3) Reset the device.
4) Run tomTom, select "other gps bluetooth". Then you should see "Port 5".
If you need a diferent port tell me and i will recompilate the program or i will post the source code.
tomtom 5 doesn't install, program crashes.. tried 2 install the cabs... only ttn.cab gives a failure on install, the other cabs installed corectly.
how did you install 5?

tnx , works great!!
Brilliant!
Strangely enough, the patch still keeps working if you run this patch once, then delete it.
Doesn't look like you need to put it in your windows\startup directory.
yep, when tomtom bounds to the gps in port 5 (or other) it retains the port number.
Anyway keep the patch in your sd card (or other safe place)because you may need it if tomtom "forgets" the port
If i install it from the CD, the setup is crashing
If i copy the .cab "ttn.CAB" (2.58 mb) and copy it to the device and open it he say's: "Unpacking was unsuccesful"
Someone?

I've been reading through these forums for a few days now and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Basically, I want to be able to listen to my 8125 through stereo bluetooth headphones. As I understand it I need to enable A2DP. I've seen a lot of topics on the G3 side of things but before I try anything I would like to confirm which ROM I need for a G4 to make this work.
I have the tools package and ruu_480 package that should build a new ROM while leaving the IPL/SPL alone in my CID-Locked 8125. So I think all I need is the .nb portion that enables A2DP. And, if I've read everything correctly, I should be able to use typho5 to extract the proper .nb piece I need for this from whatever ROM I eventually get.
So, the short version of this is: What ROM do I need to get to enable A2DP on my CID-Locked 8125 G4? And what piece of that ROM, specifically, do I need to include in a cooked ROM?
G4 CID LOCKED w/ A2DP
WM6 MB edition have A2DP included on ROM. I have it running on my 8125 CID locked.
connect your phone w/ activesync, when its done click explore. drag and drop these 2 files to that folder. Go to you phone and click file explorer from programs. If u dont see those 2 files at the bottom then click the My documents folder and u should see them there. click a2dpfix.cab 1st and when it installs reset your phone(tiny reset button next to your camera button) repeat with other file and reset again. Install your headphones and u should see a new profile....stereo headset...make sure thats clicked and setup your BT normally. thats pretty much it.
Thanks to whoever supplied these files as they are not mine, I as well was in your position 4 days ago and all I wanted to do was connect my HT820's. Have fun
so what is the difference between the zoa2dp.cab you have listed and the zoa2dp_113.cab I have installed already?
Does anyone know if this A2DP fix will work on Dopod 818?
You guys are awsome! thanks very much for your hard work.
Cingular 8125 with Jabra BT620s.
After applying the files gotten off this thread, Jabra works well with Cingular 8125, except that the audio occasionally drops out for a couple of seconds. Anyone know of a fix for this?

Are they included in all the latest ROMS? Any place where I can find them?
Also, I've noticed everyone tell me that my voice is not clear when I use my bluetooth handsfree (I've tried 2-3 of them, with same result). Am I missing something here?

Downloaded the .cab on my phone and installed the program, but whenever i press the .exe file, nothing happens. Executed it in the programs, and directly using file exploror, but nothing happens, all i see is the wait-symbol and then nothing nix nada. Any clues? Got XDA Orbit (HTC Artemis) with WM6
Thanks
Works fine for me all.....
I installed it straight to the device (presumably as HTC would have done). Fired up straight away with no problems at all...even scans the device for all music files! Cheers Midget..Black is my favorite color.

However I don't have the AudioManager.exe.0409.mui file in my windows folder; it's in my "program files/HTC Audio Manager" folder
Changing it to 0407 didn't help
Copy-pasting it to the windows folder didn't help either.
Any More suggestions?

You mast rename AudioManager.exe.0409.mui according to your language code. My is 0419 and renaming AudioManager.exe.0409.mui to AudioManager.exe.0419.mui did the job.
I did a search for WOW HD in the forums and didn't see anything so I thought I'd ask. I updated the ROM last night and reinstalled the WOW HD and now it comes up as there's no driver loaded and it exits.

SRS WOW HD still doesn't work on new official rom or test rom even with registry change. Any ideas? It also shuts off all volume (not vibrate) on the phone until it is removed. When launched it says that there is no srs driver loaded. Thanks for any help.

yea if you read the thread its pretty easy to figure out. i think most people are just using the reg file that is provided with out editing it first. the "old driver" that is ref. in that reg file is not the same one on my device, so i did was change it and tuhduh!
still doesn't work. Maybe there is a difference between DCD's 3.2.0 and the Official sprint rom 3.56
The Mogul can't find ANY SRS WOW Driver for some reason. The sound works fine however if the DLL is changed back to wavedev.dll otherwise it is muted always.

yeah maybe a different driver... uninstall it, soft reset then see what the driver is that shows up under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev, then put that diver in the old driver place in the reg file
nope, still didn't work. it said wavedev.dll and i replaced that once i soft resetted it. Unfortunately it still didn't work. It must be the sprint rom
there must be some other way to make it work because it still says the driver can't be loaded. I would imagine it has something to do with the registry since it supposedly works fine on the DCD 3.2.0 Rom.
If Possible, can someone try to figure out or give any ideas on what would be causing the problem. Thanks. I REALLY want to be able to use SRS WOW HD because it makes the music sound 1000 times better! Thanks.
I'd really like to get this working on my touch again, will try the reg edit

yeah, i just switched over to dcds 3.2.0 rom and now it works fine. It has to be something in the "Official" Sprint 3.56 ROM that is causing the problem
SRS WOW
Yea..I am running the newest Sprint ROM (leaked release) and have tried every different version. With it installed I get no sound at all or the file error message.
Hope someone much better at problem solving than me gets a minute to take a peek at it.
The sound is horrible without it.
For my Samsung Omnia SGH-i900
HI guy,
Should I do the same for my Samsung SGH-i900 WM6.1. After I load SRS WOWHD i had the same error, and I did try the steps to install SRS than soft reset than run the Wavedev.reg zip file but still no sound. May be is bcos I don't know hoe to do Reg edit, can someone teach me step by step in the wavedev.dll reg edit part? thank you all.
I've searched this and other forums for solutions (.cab and regedits), but none of them worked for me.
I'm trying to get PC Anywhere 12.5 mobile to run on a custom ROM on my VZW HTC Touch Pro. It works perfectly on the stock ROM, the "pre-release" linked in the stock section, Scott's "6.5 beta" post -- but I can't get the darn thing to properly work on any of Scott's 6.1 custom ROMs. It will install w/o errors just fine on the latter, but as soon as I reboot and try to run the program I get the dreaded "application cannot be found or not signed with a trusted certificate error."
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with HTC Touch HD...
I´m having the same problem. I try everything that you can think.
My phone is a HTC Touch HD.
The strange thing is that my wife has an Sansumg Omnia with windows mobile 6.1, and I install PCAnywhere and works fine.
If you find a solution, please tell to everybody, i will do the same.
Thank you.
I'm also having an issue with pcAnywhere on my HTC Touch Pro.
It installs fine. However, when I go to connect to a host it sits there with a warning "Warning: Reducing encryption level." -- and it hangs. On the Host I can see the phone trying to connect, but it never makes it. I've tried changing the encryption level to none, tried adding encryption, made sure the phone (remote) and host match.. and nothing. It'll never connect.
The same version of pcAnywhere mobile (3.0.0 Build 123) works fine on my HP iPAQ and HTC Apache without any issues. I've also tried a newer build (from the pcAnywhere 12.5 CD) and I've come away with the same results.
If anyone has any ideas....
Any updates?

I had the same problem. At least for me, the fix was to delete all the files that were MFC80xxx.dll. Then I could reinstall this.
I posted this fix a long time ago, but for anyone that may need it again, the way to get this program to work (at least for me):
After install - reboot the device.
Then, look for all the MFC80xxx.DLL files
Rename them to MFC80xxx.dll - it is important that these are all lowercase (the .dll extension).
It should work indefinitely after that fix.
For whatever reason, when pcAnywhere installs, after initial use or after reboot all the MFC80xxx.dll files have a capital .DLL extension. This will make it so that they cannot be read correctly for any application (including my backup applications). But changing it to smaller case .dll works. If you are concerned, reboot and check if it is still in lower case. It should be, but if not, just rename it again - it should stay for good.
Good luck for all that use this program.
