I am an IT-student from Germany having a serious problem. I tried to unlock my German T-Mobile Ameo (HTC Advantage 7500) with Olipro's AthenaUnlocker. Unfortunatly, after the second step (flashing) the Ameo did not boot anymore. I am quite sure I screwed something up after the flash was completed ...
However, I can only access the hard-reset screen by pressing the volume-key down and the reset button at the same time AND the SPL (bootloader???) by pressing the camera button and the reset button. On this screen it says:
ATHE100
IPL-v1.00
ATHE100
SPL-v1.20.Olipro
How can I get Windows Mobile back up and running? I would prefer Windows Mobile 6, however I would be clad about everything THAT WORKS!!!
ANY ADVICE???

Sorry for bothering you! I found the fix here in the forum. Just re-installed the orignal ROM image from T-Mobile Germany.

you are lucky atleast you have the boot-loader. my loader is screwd and cant do nothing. bad news is it is hard to find t-mobile german rom (if your cid is not unlocked). if CID is ok flash any WM6 rom and everything will be koool

I could recover my Ameo just fine. I went into the boot manager and reflashed the original T-Mobile German image, which is available in the file section of the Athena-Wiki on this site. Afterwards I downloaded the latest!!! version of OliPros Unlocker Tool. This time everything worked just fine. At the Unlocker Tool finished, I installed the German HTC Windows Mobile 6 image for Athena.
Now I got a unlocked, updated T-Mobile Ameo / HTC Advantage X7500.

I have been stupid and once getting my MDA Vario II in the post I ran a sim unlocker from www.buzzdev.com been impatient I ran this through and it crashed at 90%. I then read further that this unlock was not actually for this phone. ( i know I'm and idiot, still kicking myself about this)
Anyway the phone now hangs on the windows mobile splash screen. I've tried getting the sim unlocker from www.imei-checker.co.uk but when entering the stage of pressing the (ok, power, and soft reset) button I can't get the usb signal to come up at the bottom of the tri colour screen to enable me to run the app.
Can anyone give me some pointers to get me out of the stupid mess I've got myself into. I'm sucessfully running the I-mate K-JAM ROM on the MDA Vario and have just upgraded to the VARIO II but have stuffed things up big time.

You used the HTC Universal unlocker and the radio part of your device is trahsed.

You can still boot the device, but GSM will not work because radio is broken.
In order to fix it, try using the "flash from microSD card" method, described in this post:

Which CID does the Vario II have? You should use a NBH with the same CID, but t-mob hasn't released any updates yet... so, try using the TyTN rom, the CID is "QTEK_001" and let me know if it works, otherwise you'll have to wait for a NBH with your CID.

HTC ended up replacing my device as even they couldn't get it to flash over JTAG after someone else had run the 'universal' bootloader.....
To start the device, do a hard reset then soft reset rather than press spacebar to reboot afterwards.
EDIT - I've had trouble with ime-check's unlokcer as well, with a working m3100 - try a different P.C to run it on.

I bought the m600 two weeks ago and read about the unlocking in the Wiki. I folowed the steps but it seems that after executing lokiwizMSL.bat and pressing enter to start it lokiwiz can't find my mobile phone, it says: cant find path. While it was connected with activesync. after this it says its unlocked, but i cant find the code anywhere
Does anybody knows what I could have done wrong?
I really need to Sim unlock the phone because it can't read my other non-orange Simcard

I tried to unlock the Prophet again, for some times. I Copied the cab's from the Utils folder in the Lokiwiz03a.zip file to my Prophet and executed them.
(The two files : "Cert_SPCS.cab" and "EnableRapi.cab")
But I keep receiving the message ".....kan opgegeven pad niet vinden" (cant find path)
Please help me
What is the path that the Lokmiwiz is searching for, and why doesnt it sees that I'm connected via ActiveSync, which I was?

That's the problem about G4 devices! It seems that HTC has changed the path for unlocking so we have to wait for a new unlocking solution for our G4 devices!

Hi. I'm from Argentina and travel a lot because I guide motorcycle tours in South America. I use different cell phones all over south america.
I mainly use my SP in Argentina (CTI Movil)
My girlfriend bought me (yes you can say I'm a lucky guy ) this beautiful M600 in France with Mobicart. I tried to unlocked it usind the lokiwizMSL 0.3 but did not work. The message was that the path was not found.
I installed the cabs in the PDA and this erased the picture in the desktop.
After that I ran again de lokiwiz, and had the same answer. The path is not found and did not deliver the precious code. The PDA was connected at all times. It also says that ECHO is disconnected. I have no idea what ECHO is (sorry )
Do we still have to wait for a new version of the loki software? Is there any other way? Can you help this southern beginner?????
I can say that my SPV is a G4, bought last Dec.

I've just unlocked my M600 ORANGE.
I used lokiwizMSL 0.3 on my desktop PC (ACTIVESYNC V 4.5)... That does not worked... I used lokiwizMSL 0.3 in my notebook (ACTIVESYNC V4.2) and It woked very well : I've got the precious number !
Know I put my SFR sim into it... That's OK
So... If your PC says "path is not found" try to unlock your M600 into an other PC !!!

G4 = "Disk On Chip" is a other Version.
G4 unlock with Lokiwiz: Activesync 4.2
I have Prophet G4 and unlocked with the Lokiwiz software (I don't know which version anymore, I unlocked ± 1 year ago).
I used Activesync 4.2, definitely not 4.5
Good chance that M$ added (bij accident of course) a minor surprise in their latest Activesync version.
4.2 can be downloaded on several places, f.i. here

More problems with my SPV M600
Someone has given me a PDA (SPV M600 or Qtek S200) but he tried to upgrade it to wm6. Unfortunately he doesn't know everything about it because this PDA is 4G and he tried the sequence as the PDA was 3G.
The thing is, in the middle of the process the machine starts to run but it is blocked and the screen shows:
Orange:
IPL 2.21.0001
SPL 2.21.0001
GSM 0.2.19.21
OS 1.0.13.21
After do a hard reset the message is always the same. I can't do anything!!
What could I do?

If anyone is interested, I used activesync 4.1, the disk came with my SPV.
hi i had shaps wm6 installed , and then tried to upgrade my radio , it went to 2 % then came back with a error messege , my phone is now stuck in bootloader , any fixes?

- Reflashing
- Rerunning the unlocker

Recovered From Stuck on Bootloader & Splash Screen
Hi,
I had the same problem (1st stuck on bootloader- reflashed custom ROM then Stuck On Splash Screen with no GSM) on my SPV M3100 after a failed radio upgrade first it was stuck in bootloader for the longest time while i searched and re-tried uprading the radio rom inbetween using recover tools like mitty.exe and NBHextract but nothing happend until i had a brainstorm i had previosly downloaded an original vendors ROM for the Hermes so i flashed it and Pow Pow Pow - Radio and Software Rom back to normal and working OK!!!
I tried to upgrade my athena (french rom) with wm6 english version, and it was the crash
the original rom is dammaged and athena w'ont start enven with hard rest ???
(I did unlock it, it was bought in belgium and its was sim-unlocked).
Any help please to re-install original french rom or any thing else ???
Enter Bootloader mode and check if it says SPL: Olipro
If yes, that you should be able to flash a ROM (the one for your device)
even without ActiveSync Connection
If not, you haven't unlocked correctly.
Don't know what you can do then -_-

I think the RomUpgradeUt.exe that exists in the wm5 ROMs is not compatible with SPL 2.03.
try this:
Extract the .nbh file from your desired wm5 rom (Rename your ROM from *.exe to *.zip and extract it using winzip).
Flash it to your device using RUUwrapper.exe (Force using SSPL).

now i've made the update.
It shows no error or something other.
The MDA looks like a WM5 device - But it will stop booting when it shows the first WM5-Picture.
Ok...now it will stop when it shows the "T-Mobile" Splash Screen..
Well....one Softreset later .... i have a white Screen

Can ur device boot into os or not?

But it won't help me.
The Autor wrote this:
"Connect the device up to activesync using the USB cable, then run RUUWrapper.exe"
My Problem: Windows Mobile 5 or 6 doesn't Boot - So i can't use the RUUWrapper....
To enter the "special" BootLoader I need an working WM5 or WM6....
Do you know, what I mean? My english isn't the best.. sorry :-/

4.NO GSM error?(when restarting ur device look out to bottom of the screen, do you see NO GSM)

I have one more MDA Vario II with WM6, SPL2.03 and IPL 1.01
=> WORKING....
But i think i'll unlock this one by the "T-Mobile-Sim-Unlock-Code".

Why Flashing...?
Go to any vodafone store..make your device back to WM6..
say to the guy @ vodafone store that your going on a holiday.. they will give you a key that unlocks the device..
and your done ! ! ! Works for a friend of mine

I don't think, that a vodafone store will give me a unlock-code for a t-mobile device.... :O
And the next Problem is, that de MDA doesn't boot the OS and have the "no gsm" error....
