TouchFlo cube - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo ROM Development

Good morning everyone,
With all of these new versions of the touch cube around. I was wondering if anyones using the newer versions that have been released on their Athena and if they like the functionality?
There are lots and lots available all seemingly doing different things. I liked the way the cube worked on the original touch.

I've not got any of them to work except for touchcommander,
that works in realvga and landscape, but is commercial.

BT Thumb Keyboard

I'm looking for a small thumb-like bt keyboard. I know there are many folded ones, but they are all to big. Coming from Kaiser i miss thumb-typing, so i'm in need of something similar. Logitech dinovo mini is way to expencive and still to big to carry around. I found some, but don't know if they will work. If anyone has some idea if this can work on HD or does know thumb-like keyboard, please share.
Old one, but it looks great

Weird looking but would do the job

Maybe this one too

Have you also explore alternative soft keyboards like Resco or SBP:
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/keyboard/
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/keyboard/
I also used to have a Touch Pro and a Tytn II and was a thumb typist on both. But, now I'm happy with JUST the HD and now keyboard.
i use soft keybrds for fast input, but when typing long emails it's much faster to type with hw keyboard. I even make less typos with it.
i suppose the only problem is with device driver, so what kind of BT chip does HD have? Some of this thumb keyboards allready have wm support (of some sort) and support Bluesoil.
I dont know much of this, so i could be way off. Even so, i think this would be good adition.
tnx
could be used for games?

I'm not sure that the maplin one would work
I had a real good look at it plus some web searching
ps3's use a different HID to microsoft
Hence I'm reasonable sure it not for you

Neon 300 doesn't have cube in ROM?

I'm playing around with one but I thought all of them had TouchCube burned into ROM. This one doesn't apparently, not that I'm all that hooked on Cube.
Just wondered why some have different software in ROM.

If the rom is using M2D (most 6.1 roms do) the cube is disabled.

Dual Touch D3D? Some questions!

Hello guys!
I've some questions on HTC Dual Touch.
First, in the past, there were some threads about D3D and OpenGL drivers for this device. By now, It's hard to find something about 3D acceleration and Touch Dual. Is there any rom which including these drivers? And will it worth?
Because - and so we come to the next point - I saw some videos on Youtube about an amazing PSX emulation tool. I do not exactly now what this software require, but with activated D3D - will it work?
Or isn't their any use of D3D even if it's activated or not?
Next, you guys flash a lot of roms with 6.1 or 6.5! Well, in the past, I use the HTC Prophet and Elf. In my opinion, 6.1 was a bit faster than 6.5! But with it's other hardware and by improved Win 6.5 versions, this may have changed!?
And my last question! HTC phones/ PDAs are nice things, but I really miss the smilies. You know, a SMS looks more friendlier when the smilies will be visual and not only letters! Is there any way to get these into win mobile?
I thank in advancefor answering my question and have to excuse me for my bad English!

Hero board in a G1 housing?

Anyone know if you can put the motherboard and guts of a hero in a G1 housing giving you the ability to use the physical keyboard of the g1 with the better memory ect of the hero?
it would get messy, the screens are a different size, ahah and if you kept the g1's screen it would take alot of programming i think to get it to work
i wouldnt say its impossible, but arnt there ways of using bluetooth keyboards?
id suggest figuring that out!
Bluetooth keyboards are certainly an option. There are two commercial apps in the market which support them. One for SPP & one for HID (the two BT profiles, serial port profile & human interface device, which BT keyboards can use), so most keyboards should work with one or the other. As it happens, I'm waiting for delivery of a Freedom Pro, from Handtec, atm.
It's probably not actually impossible, but if you had to ask then it's not something you could do.
I'd say it's practically impossible in that no one would ever do it.
OT: The poster above mentioned 2 apps for using a BT keyboard.. what are they and do either support the original old freedom BT kb?
It's possible, but as far as I'm aware you'd need to write new drivers for communicating with the physical keyboard, and the older screen/buttons, etc.

BlueInput & KeyPro. Can't get either to work with the Freedom Pro on a 1.5 gsm Hero (they support many phones running 1.5). Hero seems to be lacking something under 1.5 that most other devices have.

Bomaker Polaris

Hey there, wondering if anyone has tried to hack/upgrade the Bomaker Polaris? It is running Android 6, if nothing else would be nice to upgrade it to Android 9, but also wondering if there are any general guides, or if there is a good way to check if the internals are generic enough I'll have luck hacking it? Any tips would be greatly appreciated

I just got a Polaris too. The built in OS is one of the few cons. I'm currently using the Google TV chromecast which thanks to the CEC, controls work decent enough. What sucks is it only has 2 hdmis and I have to use one for the chromecast since the built in OS is unusable. I'd also ask for some keystone adjustment software to make that process way easier
Something I realized is the newer JMGO U2 looks like it has the exact same hardware as the Polaris! Same CPU, same sensors, same input panel, etc. That means both devices could possibly be combined into one thread on here and with increased user numbers, we may discover cool hacks/mods for both of them. I would even be interested in trying Luna OS (JMGO's OS) on my Polaris. Of course the ultimate goal would be full android TV, but that's probably not an easy port at the moment (Because both the Polaris and U2 are stuck on Android 6.0)
