Please I need the comm manager in Touch X version as a cab file to install it at my phone

Im looking for any information about where the .bmp or .jpg or whatever format the comm manager picture files are. I am looking to just greyscale the green ones and swap them if possible. I like the look of the current comm manager but not the color. Also i don't want to use the other comm manager replacement programs out there because they look ugly.
I found the Bkgnd_Land.bmp and Bkgnd_Port.bmp in the windows directory and i haven't been able to replace or rename them with greyscale versions. It seems the attribs of the files are set to read only, system and ROM but the ROM setting is checked and greyed out so i cant change it. Ive tried to change the read only and system attribs but with no luck. Any info would be appreciated. If it is located in the rom will it take a cooked rom to do what i want?
You should be able to overwrite them with Resco File Explorer if they are in the Windows directory.
I change the both files, but the Comm Manager is still green
Did you power off for 30 seconds then do a soft reset?
Only the soft reset. I try again.
Saying that I cant change them either!
I found a whole host of images from CommManager, all in the correct colours. It just doesnt use them. I wonder if it was meant to change with the today theme, and something has got stuck.
Any ideas?

I'd like to use some of the files from the Oxygen for a little test I am doing to enhance my ROM. All I need is the Task Manager and the Comm Manager from the Oxygen Rom or if there is an Official Update be it branded or not then a link to that would be good too.
If your not sure which files to extract then I think for the Task Manager its:
IA_Task_Manager.exe
IA_Task_Manager.exe.0406.mui
IA_Task_Manager.exe.0409.mui
IA_Task_Manager.exe.040B.mui
IA_Task_Manager.exe.0414.mui
IA_Task_Manager.exe.041D.mui
The Comm Manager should be:
CommManager.exe
CommManagerRes.dll
CommManager.htm
CommManager.exe.0409.mui
I'm pretty sure those are the files needed to run the OEM Applications but if you see anything related that I missed then please upload them too

i have successfully unhid the shadow ext rom. how do i 'use' the files inside? i want to replace the default HTC home icons with the ones created in the ext rom. so how do i replace them? do i need another special software for that?
another thing...when i use a black background for the today screen it comes out as light grey instead,,
why's that so?

Have you tried changeing the transparency of your today screen?
In the extROM, you will need to change all the files from read only to normal. I would use total commander CE for this, disable HTC Home first.

well... what is the path to ext rom? after unlocking and unhiding...nothing appeared in my prophet...
What ROM are you using? Not all ROMs have an ExtROM (Korands for example)

What have you used to unlock/unhide the extrom.
If you import the two reg keys attached and then soft reset, the ExtROM should be visible. It will appear in the root of the device as "Extended_ROM2".
Here is a cab to unhide the extended_rom.
after install the cab soft reset the device and you have a folder called Storage
For Shadow roms you have to unlock the extended_rom with the exe file inside the zip.
take this extendedromunlock to the root of the device where you see windows folder and run with fexplorer.
if you want to hide again the extended rom just go to settings/remove programs and unistall the Prophet_ExtRom2Storage.cab and soft reset

Hi i have gingercrutz rom. I want to install htc keybord like in the other rom but i can't do this. I have download the htc keybord, installed the two file, flag on the htc-imei imput but when i chose htc imei as a keyboard don't appair nothing. How can i do? There is someone that can help me?
P.s. i havee installed lgkeyboard like un update and that works, but i don't like lg keyboard.
