I tried the following steps on my O2 Xda Mini S and after rebooting it doesn't show the SPL is 2.21.olip. It just show the original version.
Any help out there?
-connect your device
-Start hard_SPL-G4.exe
-Push the "Check DOC" button
-> The tool now checks whether your device is truly a G4, if not, it will give you an error and stops.
-> after this a dos box pops up, and it loads the softSPL to your device, to enable hard-SPL flashing.
-> then a Rom Update Utility will start, ONLY proceed if your screen is white!
-Proceed with the upgrade, it will only take a minute.
After reboot the IPL version is : 2.21.0001 and the SPL is 2.21.olip

What is your current ROM, IPL/SPL?
Have you tried another USB port, or even another computer?
try to ugrade other rom (try the new TNT )version but take care ROM must be without ipl and spl !!!

don't forget to use MUN's RUU
make the update on yours root drive !!! C:/ !!! i mean the update and ROM files must be on it !!!
Let the proccess going to the end and if it stops at 99% don't panic
wait and it will end and restart !!!

Rom version is still the one that came with it from O2.
Do i need to do the hard_spl before upgrade the rom to one of those you told me?

My phone is I-mate k-jam (kind of G4).I unlocked my phone’s CID by hard SPL program from your website . I could not install phone’s original rom. Then I installed original rom by shelltools program. My phone is not operated after hard resetting. When I switch on my phone, it stopped in three-colored page. Please be kind enough to conduct me.
You need to remove the hard spl in order to go back to the original rom

What is the SPL version?
Invalid Vendor ID means it's not CID unlocked..
So you need the original i-mate ROM obviously. Not the HTC/Qtek ROM..
BTW.: Soft SPL doesn't work in bootloader, it needs WM 5/6 in order to load the Soft SPL.
Connect USB cable, kill wscecomm.exe (in PC's taskmanager) and start the RUU.
Forget the warning the Ruu tells you about having an active activesync connection. Flash the original iMate ROM.

You haven't got Hard SPL.
So only way to flash is original ROM (in original Language it came with).

I explain my problem more accurat. I downloaded Soft SPL accompanied by Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip after reading topic of How To Remove HardSPL and according teaching I transferred nk.nbf file from Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip file to Soft SPL file .Then I wanted to perform Start-sSPL.exe file but I could not perform. Then I found Soft SPL is not operated in Bootloader.Then I performed 2.exe (ROMUpdateUtility MFC Application) file in Soft SPL file accidentally. I thought it is being installed. After accomplishment I found my phone’s spl has turned from olip to 2.17.0001.So I wanted to install original ram but I couldn’t install. It is installed wm6 on my phone completely now but it is stopped in spl page. I think I could not remove my phone’s hard spl completely. Please be kind enough to help me.

I have O2 xda mini s G4, I have used the hard_spl_G4 and shell_tools to unlocked my device.but all roms give error 300 except love 2.26.10.2 can be installed and no wm6 roms.please if any one have an idea comment it or any one who had this problem and solved it.

If you have applyed the HardSPL successfully, then you can flash any rom without IPL/SPL using RUU_NoID.
I applied hard_spl successfully and spl changed into 1.21.olip .and when I try to upgrade wm6 roms (tnt 4.0) gives me error 300.

Please use the Mun's RUU as posted in the TS of the Hard SPL.
if u have G4 decice it should be 2.21.Olip after hardspl...when error 300 is occured propably you have opened com1 port on your pc and it makes the connection fail...try to reeboot your pc and then try to reflash

Here is solution for upgrade on Wizard G4 models !!!!
I have found that with RUU MUN.zip utility it works
and all must done on root disk (C:\...)

have tried to hardspl following all the steps carefully: no success, when I execute romupdateutility_NV_G4, it says "error 300, invalid update tool".

When I reboot with Camera and Power I see the USB symbol and I head windows finding the device. Active Sync Installed with USB disabled.
I open command prompt and navigate to the G4 HardSPL directory and run HardSPL.bat.
The utility asks me to press a key, I press a key,
after about 5 seconds a dialog box appears, telling me failed to connect to device , trey , cancel abort.
What's missing here?
Read careful
Connect your device to the usb port then go to HardSPL folder and run HardSPL.bat from your PC. (Thanks to Prislav)
The HardSPL.bat will perform the SoftSPL first and then will do the HardSPL. so you don't have to do the SoftSPL manually.
Before doing the HardSPL you should know:
* SPL - Second Program Loader is a boot loader. SPL is similar to a BIOS in a computer and can be flashed and updated.
* G3 or G4: If you soft reset your phone you will see four numbers on top left of the screen. The first one is IPL version. which has this format : #.##.000# the last digit of IPL version indicates if the device is G3 or G4. the G4 device IPL version will end with 0001 and the G3 device IPL version will end with 0000. for example if your device is G4 you might see something like: 2.20.0001

If the device is stuck in bootloader, try flashing a WM5 ROM (some on the ftp server) with USB in active sync disabled, and then try HardSPL once the device is running properly.

You might need to reflash it. Hold the two soft keys and then push the reset button. it will ask to hard reset. If the phone fails to come on after the hard reset, then hold the left 'ok' key and the power button, and then push the reset under the phone- this will take you to a tricolor screen where you can then re-flash the phone. try reflashing with official rom's, before using any other roms.
yes i do but it still in boot any sugest ipl 1.01 spl 1.40 olipro if any know how to update ipl with hard spl or how to remove hard spl it will be aprecible
My suggestion would be to try using sd to reflash the rom and see if that orks. format sd card making sure its fat 32 then put .nbh file in root directory. rename to herimg.nbh then insert into phone. go to bootloader and it should start the flash straight away. if this works make sure you upgrade spl to olipro 2.10 hard spl so its easier if there are problems. you can possibly upgrade spl this way too (get nbh file and rename hermimg.nbh). I tried this on my herme 100 and it seemed to work. it will flash the spl BUT when it restarts it will go straight to bootloader and start flashing again. as soon as it restarts get the sd card out and put on the os you want to flash. insert card and as long as you've named it hermimg.nbh it should flash new os with spl olipro 2.10. Good luck flashing.

How do I update hardSPL to a new version? i currently have 1.16 and want to upgrade too 1.22
i tried using somthing called uspl but that didnt help it still says SPL 1.16 Hard on the bootloader

That's not really difficult : just flash th 1.22 the same way you flashed the old one !
Launch the SSPL on your phone : you'll have the tricolor screen.
Plug it using your USB cable, and launch the RUU with the harsSPL NBH.

I have been rying to change it but it still shows:

CPLD-4
The "sspl-1.16-nike.exe" (the kemit icon, when on the phone) must be on the phone and executed from the phone itself (gives the tri-color screen). after that you can start the 1.22 exe from your PC and flash the spl as described.
Don't forget to backup first, remove storagecard and SIM before doing all this.
