You might need to reflash it. Hold the two soft keys and then push the reset button. it will ask to hard reset. If the phone fails to come on after the hard reset, then hold the left 'ok' key and the power button, and then push the reset under the phone- this will take you to a tricolor screen where you can then re-flash the phone. try reflashing with official rom's, before using any other roms.
yes i do but it still in boot any sugest ipl 1.01 spl 1.40 olipro if any know how to update ipl with hard spl or how to remove hard spl it will be aprecible
My suggestion would be to try using sd to reflash the rom and see if that orks. format sd card making sure its fat 32 then put .nbh file in root directory. rename to herimg.nbh then insert into phone. go to bootloader and it should start the flash straight away. if this works make sure you upgrade spl to olipro 2.10 hard spl so its easier if there are problems. you can possibly upgrade spl this way too (get nbh file and rename hermimg.nbh). I tried this on my herme 100 and it seemed to work. it will flash the spl BUT when it restarts it will go straight to bootloader and start flashing again. as soon as it restarts get the sd card out and put on the os you want to flash. insert card and as long as you've named it hermimg.nbh it should flash new os with spl olipro 2.10. Good luck flashing.

I did an upgrade with SCHAPS 3.62. Something went wrong. I have
IPL-1.00
SPL-2.03.
boot screen.
Then flashing will produce
No Image Version on he phone upgrade screen.
Then select below click on update.
From Image Version "blank" to image version 3.62
Then updating the ROM only goes to 1%!!
Did you Hard SPL your phone 1st??!!! IPL & SPL displayed says NO... Do some reading before you stuff up the flash. You are the 3rd or 4th person who has been crying over spilt milk on the forum tonight. Don't you guys READ 1st?
Try to Hard SPL your phone using the sd card method, dont know if it'll work now, but its on page 116 of "Hard SPL or how not to brick your Hermes" thread. THEN try to reflash a stock rom. DON'T disconnect from usb as you WILL corrupt your radio rom if you do ANYTHING at the magic 11%-15% mark. Don't know if this will help but even if you can't Hard SPL your phone try to flash stock rom. Lets put it this way, Couldn't Hurt....

It really isn't hard to do. But be sure you know what you are doing btw. SO read the sticky!
Basically you just download the flavor of Hard SPL you want (I used 2.10 which I can recommend, very easy to downgrade to factory SPL again as I just learned!).
After download unzip the folder and run the RUUWrapper. Follow instructions exactly, do nout unplug your device etc. and it should work like a charm. It takes about 1 minute!
If you don't know what you are doing or you are still doubting, wait for Mr Vanx site to come online again or don't flash. There is always a risk you screw up and end with a $500 brick.
So use at your own risk!

hi guys have tried to update mine today on a jasjam it connects sys it updating but starts at 0% then just jumps to 100% and says flash finished but when i restart the phone it still has the same loader what am i doing wrong i want to update it from windows 5 to windows 6 using crc-9 but don't want to update till i do the loader any help from you guys would be great

start the device in bootloader, what is displayed?
Mine is doing the exact same thing. Starts at 0% and jumps to 100% and says it is done, but it has done nothing.

the SPL flash is VERY quick.
I'll ask YOU this aswell, put your device into bootloader mode and tell us what it says.

I appreciate your reply Mr. Vanx. Same as with puca, I put my phone into the bootloader mode and it does indeed show the correct 2.10 Olipro version. This is the 3rd 8525 I have had and I could have SWORN it took much longer on the first 2. Even the update from WM5 to WM6 seemed to take much less time with this particular phone. Guess I shouldn't really complain
Downgrade Error 260
Hi Mr Vanx I have followed your guide to downgrade my current SSPL (2.10 Olipro) to SSPL (1.11). But I keep getting error 260. I have followed guide step by step.
I have even tried flashing from SD-Card (by renaming to HERMING.nbh). Process runs successfully, but nothing happens.
Its still showing SSPL-2.10 Olipro in bootloader. Am I missing anything?

can some one point me to the guide. I am facing a NO GSM problem on vodafone VPA 1605 with following config:

I do not see the radio version or the IMEI. So I would like to do a HARDSPLv7 followed by Radio ROM update to 1.06.00.10. I hope this will work. Seniors may help with their sggestion.

I have an I-mate 9502 but my problem is for pocket pc generaly.
I installed a program for sound, When I do a soft reset it hangs on Blue Imate page and didn't boot.
I tried to hard reset but it dosen't worked too(I know hard reset of it, is Green+FN+Power button) but it don't work, Also I tried to install a fresh Rom but it need to loud windows.
Please help how to hard reset it.

After Flashed with the new ROM, My Device is now stuck in iMate Blue Screen Logo....!!!
But Don't worry Guys...it can be solved with manually hard Reset...
1. Remove battery and reinsert (to make sure the phone is off).
2. Hold down Fn and the Green button (with the phone icon on it) and press the power button.
3. You will see the white hard reset option screen almost immediately. Press the Left Soft Key to hard reset.

Please help me, as its very urgent. I have been upgrading to various ROM's every now and then. Recently I did a blunder, as While upgrading with One of the ROM (Black Majik) i selected SPL 2.10 instead of Force SSPL and while upgrading USB Connection get lost.
Now I am only getting the Splash Screen showing HTC, when i Hard Reset my phone I do not get IPL and SPL version displayed and it takes my to the Splash Screen again.
Please help me in finding a way i can recover my phone.

Try a hard reset...
If that doesn't work and you have Hard SPL on your phone upgrade using the sd card method.
As for your IPL and SPL, what do you see when you go to bootloader? That shows your IPL & SPL. To get to bootloader press power, OK button next to flywheel and soft reset with stylus. Hold all three buttons until you get to tri-colour screen. That will tell you what IPL & Spl you have.

Thanx for help. I could get my IPL and SPL info. But still i am not been able to get any rom installed on my device as it get stuck on that tri-color screen and rom up gradation wizards comes with different rom looks for activesync connection with the device. I am not been able to boot my device so that i can upgrade it to specific rom. Is there any way i can install a ROM without having active sync connection with the device...

IF you have flashed Hard SPL on your phone you have a good Chance...
If you haven't and its under warranty you might be able to get them to fix for you.
Assuming you have Hard SPLed your phone, try the sd card method - format up to 2gb sd card fat32. copy the .nbh file from the rom upgrade to the sd card.Rename the .nbh file to "hermimg.nbh". Reset phone. As you keep going into bootloader you wont have to manually do that. It should recognize the os flash and prompt you to hit the power button to proceed...
PLEASE NOTE - THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF YOUR SPL IS 2.10 OLIPRO...
Hope you upgraded your SPL cos you will only have a paper weight otherwise..

I tried to run unlocker, step 1 was successful but during step 2 there was an error and the program crashed.

My athena also failed at upgrade... now, it only stops at opening logo..
I already have Hard-SPL installed but I don't find any program like HTC trinity Stack Overflow Exploit to unbrick it..

Think before you jump to conclusions.
If it tries to boot and stops at the opening logo , the rom is corrupted but not bricked.
If you can get into bootloader you can usually resurrect without resorting to mtty ,which only really cmonex here knows how to use properly.
Check which SPL is visible in the bootloader screen and then flash an appropriate ROM.
ie SPL 1.1 > original ROM
SPL 1.2 > any spl 1.2 ROM.

If you put it in bootloader screen (FULL PRESS camera button, while poking reset hole) What does it say on the "SPL" line eg; 1.1, 1.2, or 3.5? and what ROM are you trying to use?.................Hi Lakeman

you have to load an spl 1.2 rom while in bootloader
make sure you remove your sim and sd card first

I had that problem and few more with my Hermes.
While it didn't help me, this suggestion by ultramag69 may help you...
Use the sd card method to flash a new rom, instead of a USB cable/Windows computer.
1. Format a 2Gb or less sd card to FAT32, copy the large 50MB-90MB .nbh file onto it and rename to hermimg.nbh
2. Insert the card into your Hermes and reset to bootloader (hold OK & POWER and push RESET for a sec with the stylus)
3. If you haven't stuffed up the other steps, follow the prompts.

Just one other thing summoner, make sure you have Hard SPL V7 installed. Otherwise the ONLY rom I'd try flashing like that is the SHIPPED STOCK ROM. Its so the CID will be recognised and won't cause a brick.
rmorera84, unless you've installed Hard SPL V7 then find the SHIPPED STOCK ROM and flash that, anything else may permanently brick your Hermes.
If you have Hard SPL V7 (IPL 1.04, SPL 2.10 oli) then flash what you like...

I am told don't try fixing what isn't broken - and it is working. 3G iNet, Phone, WiFi, BT - all good atm.

SUMM0NER, you're using an older, not so safe version of Hard SPL. The Hermes is downgraded to SPL 1.40 when you sim/CID unlock your phone. Best idea would be to re-install Hard SPL V7. Its a later version that seems less prone to problems when flashing.
Go back to the Hard SPL thread and get Hard SPL V7. I had the same thing happen to me when I unlocked the Hermes, nearly cost me my handset.
The steps are unlock Hermes, Install Hard SPL then upgrade OS.

SUMM0NER, no. You have loaded the os, the reason you put Hard SPL V7 is if you want to upgrade the radio rom (not a good idea unless you are experiencing problems) or wish to change the os. Just means recovery is easier than if you didn't have it.

Can I assume your Hermes is working right now?
If it is download and install HardSPL V.7 (attached to the bottom of the first post!)
Ones done verify that it installed correctly by holding the OK & Power button and pushing reset for a sec. The screen should display the coloured bars and say towards the centre: SPL-2.10.Olipro

You didn't confirm if it is working right now!?
If it is not working, try one of the official WM5 Cingular roms from this list. If that worked apply HardSPL 7 and take it from there.
Ones you downloaded the Cingular rom update you will have to keep unpacking the .exe files until you come to the actual .NBH file (WinRAR works for me).
Then follow ultramag69's instructions on flashing the rom via memory card.

Try downgrading to the Cingular rom via USB. Just double click the EXE and follow the instructions.
To use the memory card method follow these steps...
0. unpack the .exe file containing the rom with Winrar (right-click exe then choose "Extract to...\")

The reason to use the memory card to upgrade a rom, rather than a usb cable, is to cut down on failed upgrades (dodgy Windows/usb port/usb cable/etc..).
All working? Try upgrading to a Hermes rom that didn't work previously.
Any rom you can find in the Hermes section. Go to the WM06 part of the forum, theres a sticky at the top with about 50 older roms and you'll find other roms there too (latest is wm6.5).

You may not be able to fix this, if you know what the original SHIPPED STOCK ROM was and can find it, then flash that. It may not work, if it gets stuck at 11% - 17% mark it means the radio ROM is stuffed and the memory area is corrupted. Not fixable.
You could also try, if you know what it is, the original radio rom by itself. Again, if you can't get it to work, you have a PDA but won't work as a phone ever again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Im to having the same problem, it keeps going back to the 2.1.Olipro boot loader.
