I did an upgrade with SCHAPS 3.62. Something went wrong. I have
IPL-1.00
SPL-2.03.
boot screen.
Then flashing will produce
No Image Version on he phone upgrade screen.
Then select below click on update.
From Image Version "blank" to image version 3.62
Then updating the ROM only goes to 1%!!
Did you Hard SPL your phone 1st??!!! IPL & SPL displayed says NO... Do some reading before you stuff up the flash. You are the 3rd or 4th person who has been crying over spilt milk on the forum tonight. Don't you guys READ 1st?
Try to Hard SPL your phone using the sd card method, dont know if it'll work now, but its on page 116 of "Hard SPL or how not to brick your Hermes" thread. THEN try to reflash a stock rom. DON'T disconnect from usb as you WILL corrupt your radio rom if you do ANYTHING at the magic 11%-15% mark. Don't know if this will help but even if you can't Hard SPL your phone try to flash stock rom. Lets put it this way, Couldn't Hurt....

Every thing went well but I was not able to HARD RESET. So instead I removed the battery and started it again. It starts up but got struck at screen which says

Could some help me what to do now. I read some threads to go to Boot loader screen by pressing "Camera" + "Reset" button and got USB at bottom left and tried RUU with some thing available on forum but every thing failed saying "connection not established"

If OS is not boot up correctly, both ways doesn't work because all of them requires to do in a working OS.
You should find your stock ROM or Wizard Love ROM, use the bundled RUU to flash it so you get the device working again, then use SoftSPL/flash HardSPL and use RUU to flash OS-only WM6 ROMs.
Yes starkwong you are right. I bought my device back working by flashing it with "wizard love" now its up and running. I would proceed with Soft SPL/Hard SPL and then try to flash it with WM6.

You might need to reflash it. Hold the two soft keys and then push the reset button. it will ask to hard reset. If the phone fails to come on after the hard reset, then hold the left 'ok' key and the power button, and then push the reset under the phone- this will take you to a tricolor screen where you can then re-flash the phone. try reflashing with official rom's, before using any other roms.

My suggestion would be to try using sd to reflash the rom and see if that orks. format sd card making sure its fat 32 then put .nbh file in root directory. rename to herimg.nbh then insert into phone. go to bootloader and it should start the flash straight away. if this works make sure you upgrade spl to olipro 2.10 hard spl so its easier if there are problems. you can possibly upgrade spl this way too (get nbh file and rename hermimg.nbh). I tried this on my herme 100 and it seemed to work. it will flash the spl BUT when it restarts it will go straight to bootloader and start flashing again. as soon as it restarts get the sd card out and put on the os you want to flash. insert card and as long as you've named it hermimg.nbh it should flash new os with spl olipro 2.10. Good luck flashing.

2nd what methods have you tried to unbrick your device?
If you can't answer these questions then we can not help you, you keep asking for suggestions but you do not even reply to other's questions!

Please help me, as its very urgent. I have been upgrading to various ROM's every now and then. Recently I did a blunder, as While upgrading with One of the ROM (Black Majik) i selected SPL 2.10 instead of Force SSPL and while upgrading USB Connection get lost.
Now I am only getting the Splash Screen showing HTC, when i Hard Reset my phone I do not get IPL and SPL version displayed and it takes my to the Splash Screen again.
Please help me in finding a way i can recover my phone.

Try a hard reset...
If that doesn't work and you have Hard SPL on your phone upgrade using the sd card method.
As for your IPL and SPL, what do you see when you go to bootloader? That shows your IPL & SPL. To get to bootloader press power, OK button next to flywheel and soft reset with stylus. Hold all three buttons until you get to tri-colour screen. That will tell you what IPL & Spl you have.

Thanx for help. I could get my IPL and SPL info. But still i am not been able to get any rom installed on my device as it get stuck on that tri-color screen and rom up gradation wizards comes with different rom looks for activesync connection with the device. I am not been able to boot my device so that i can upgrade it to specific rom. Is there any way i can install a ROM without having active sync connection with the device...

IF you have flashed Hard SPL on your phone you have a good Chance...
If you haven't and its under warranty you might be able to get them to fix for you.
Assuming you have Hard SPLed your phone, try the sd card method - format up to 2gb sd card fat32. copy the .nbh file from the rom upgrade to the sd card.Rename the .nbh file to "hermimg.nbh". Reset phone. As you keep going into bootloader you wont have to manually do that. It should recognize the os flash and prompt you to hit the power button to proceed...
PLEASE NOTE - THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF YOUR SPL IS 2.10 OLIPRO...
Hope you upgraded your SPL cos you will only have a paper weight otherwise..

I had that problem and few more with my Hermes.
While it didn't help me, this suggestion by ultramag69 may help you...
Use the sd card method to flash a new rom, instead of a USB cable/Windows computer.
1. Format a 2Gb or less sd card to FAT32, copy the large 50MB-90MB .nbh file onto it and rename to hermimg.nbh
2. Insert the card into your Hermes and reset to bootloader (hold OK & POWER and push RESET for a sec with the stylus)
3. If you haven't stuffed up the other steps, follow the prompts.

Just one other thing summoner, make sure you have Hard SPL V7 installed. Otherwise the ONLY rom I'd try flashing like that is the SHIPPED STOCK ROM. Its so the CID will be recognised and won't cause a brick.
rmorera84, unless you've installed Hard SPL V7 then find the SHIPPED STOCK ROM and flash that, anything else may permanently brick your Hermes.
If you have Hard SPL V7 (IPL 1.04, SPL 2.10 oli) then flash what you like...

I suppose I should upgrading the radio rom now!?
I am told don't try fixing what isn't broken - and it is working. 3G iNet, Phone, WiFi, BT - all good atm.

SUMM0NER, you're using an older, not so safe version of Hard SPL. The Hermes is downgraded to SPL 1.40 when you sim/CID unlock your phone. Best idea would be to re-install Hard SPL V7. Its a later version that seems less prone to problems when flashing.
Go back to the Hard SPL thread and get Hard SPL V7. I had the same thing happen to me when I unlocked the Hermes, nearly cost me my handset.
The steps are unlock Hermes, Install Hard SPL then upgrade OS.

SUMM0NER, no. You have loaded the os, the reason you put Hard SPL V7 is if you want to upgrade the radio rom (not a good idea unless you are experiencing problems) or wish to change the os. Just means recovery is easier than if you didn't have it.

Can I assume your Hermes is working right now?
If it is download and install HardSPL V.7 (attached to the bottom of the first post!)
Ones done verify that it installed correctly by holding the OK & Power button and pushing reset for a sec. The screen should display the coloured bars and say towards the centre: SPL-2.10.Olipro

You didn't confirm if it is working right now!?
If it is not working, try one of the official WM5 Cingular roms from this list. If that worked apply HardSPL 7 and take it from there.
Ones you downloaded the Cingular rom update you will have to keep unpacking the .exe files until you come to the actual .NBH file (WinRAR works for me).
Then follow ultramag69's instructions on flashing the rom via memory card.

Try downgrading to the Cingular rom via USB. Just double click the EXE and follow the instructions.
To use the memory card method follow these steps...

The reason to use the memory card to upgrade a rom, rather than a usb cable, is to cut down on failed upgrades (dodgy Windows/usb port/usb cable/etc..).
All working? Try upgrading to a Hermes rom that didn't work previously.
Any rom you can find in the Hermes section. Go to the WM06 part of the forum, theres a sticky at the top with about 50 older roms and you'll find other roms there too (latest is wm6.5).

You may not be able to fix this, if you know what the original SHIPPED STOCK ROM was and can find it, then flash that. It may not work, if it gets stuck at 11% - 17% mark it means the radio ROM is stuffed and the memory area is corrupted. Not fixable.
You could also try, if you know what it is, the original radio rom by itself. Again, if you can't get it to work, you have a PDA but won't work as a phone ever again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Im to having the same problem, it keeps going back to the 2.1.Olipro boot loader.
I tried the memory card option and it starts to install but then stops.

Phone freezes on the splash boot image, with no option to enter to the bootloader mode.
How can I revive?
Pull the battery for a bit, then put it back in and either soft reset or go into bootloader. The phone should be fine IF you do have hard spl on it (1.90 Olinex, not some other hard spl. If it's another one, the phone is dead.). Then just flash another rom, or re-download Tael's rom. Weird stuff happens if you flash enough. I've had my phone do something sort of similar before, where I couldn't get into bootloader. You may need to soft reset, then let it boot to the alignment screen, then put it in bootloader. Don't worry, it will be ok, hard spl is your parachute.
