As we can see , a lot WM6 , WM6.1 Rom for HP6828 & HP6818. After upgrade some people wanted to back to WM5 but facing the problem .( I also one of them ). After search through the net , I get a solution from someone , this is due to Model ID been overwrite . I already modify my Revision 2 ROM and add the HP Model ID in . For those people who want to flash the HP6828 back to WM5 , you may flash my revision 2 rom . It will repair your Model ID . After that just download the HP original wm5 rom and you will be able to flash it .
1 . Downgrade your bootloader to Version 1.01 from link

2 . download the zip file from the mediafire link.
3 . unzip the file you will see 6 file inside , diskimage_Ver.nb0 , Device Software Update Utility.exe , EBOOT.nb0 , ExtendedRom.img , nova_pda_033105.mot and vl1d_pda_Ver.mot.
4 . copy diskimage_Ver.nb0 , Device Software Update Utility.exe , EBOOT.nb0 , ExtendedRom.img , nova_pda_033105.mot , vl1d_pda_Ver.mot to " C:\Windows\temp "
5 . Press both soft key enter your phone to bootloader mode . than run Device Software Update Utility.exe . Follow screen instruction click next and upgrade.
6 . Now the rom upgrade in progress , it take about 20 minute , until it reach congratulation page than click exit . Done it will automatic clean boot and reset to factory default.

Under bootloader mode , connect data cable . Check under PC device manager , can you see " HP USB sync " , If no that may be your pc detect the phone to something else . Just find the device and remove it . after that refresh the device manager and your pc will re detect and correct the problem.

No i didn't downgrade my device.
Because my BLoader is 1.0.5 so that i just flash ROM by miniSD card only.
This is step by step to upgrade the Rom via miniSD card :
- First you must have .nb0 ROM had cut first 12 bytes by WinHex.
- Rename it to diskimg.nb0, and copy to miniSD card (root folder).
- Go to Bloader : press "_" both key and soft-reset untill show HP PBL.
- It will auto flash your ROM, it's take approximate 15' - 20' then auto hardreset.

After flash new rom, I find that it has problem about wireless manager and the HP logo on boot screen come after O2 screen. These may because I already get WM6 atom exec rom and I flash the upper rom again. So, I decide to flash back to Roma_pop atom rom. Goodluck

The HP boot sceen is similar in WM5, but the HP boot sceen come after O2 boot sceen. But I think the boot sceen isn't important, I like the ROM no need any patch and all function work well...

You can go to BLoader by this steps :
1. Re-copy the ROM has work with your device to miniSD card (diskimg.nb0)
2. Unload the battery,
3. Press "_" both key, don't loose.
4. Load the battery and softreset (stylus)
Waiting the white screen, and reflash.

Yes, it's needed install ExtROM.

And i think this ROM isn't have any bugs : camera and FM radio work well (after install ExtROM.cab)

Yes I had flash back to official ROM dated 4Dec2007 few times. But I remain in bootloader 1.0.5 during flashing all other cooked ROMs. Total flashing already 8 times with all wm6 available here(3 ofcourse). I use sd card method for all of them except when flashing for reverting to the said HP ROM. Because I like to know the ROM content and how they perform. I flash to HP official ROM after entering bootloader first, then connect usb to PC and run the Upgrade from there.
Well I wonder if u could try to flash seperately i.e first the boot loader 1.0.5 then later either (diskimg.nb0) for 1.01.03 WWE which can be found in one of these posts, or flash with the official ROM while u are in bootloader mode.

Of course the hard reset command is in such way,because it is origianally ATOM ROM. Press both softkey, not call and endcall button to hardreset.
By the way , check your boot loader by pressing both softkeys and at the same time push the softreset hole few second and release. The bootloader mode will appear. What does it reads, HP or Atom and any version number?

How should I do to make a hard reset? I can not install any rom. When I hard reset (camera + softreset) from the diagnostic manager and I do not know how to exit. If I press the two buttons - + - and soft reset will reset the wm6.1 I have installed first. If I try with the programs via pc rom me from the diagnostic manager. Sometimes freezes on the screen with HP BL 0:00:00. What can I do?

I've seen lots of threads around asking for what to do etc... Read this thread if you're clueless (or stuck)!
Starting
To upgrade your devices ROM, you first need to prepare the SPL (Secondary Program Loader) to allow the new ROM to boot.
This can be done through JumpSPL/SoftSPL (temporary) or HardSPL (permanent). And can be undone by flashing a WM5 Official ROM from here.
Before you upgrade anything, you need to know whether your device is a G3 or a G4. To find out, read this
JumpSPL/SoftSPL
The idea behind "JumpSPL" is to temporarily make the bootloader load a new ROM/RUU. JumpSPL is not permanent, and will not damage the device if it goes wrong.
To use JumpSPL, download the "ProphetSPLTool" attached below, select the device you have (G3/G4) and click "JumpSPL". After that has run (your Prophet will have a white screen), you need to start the RUU for your ROM.
HardSPL
The idea behind "HardSPL" is to permanently make the bootloader load a new ROM/RUU. HardSPL is permanent, and will damage the device if it goes wrong.
To use HardSPL, download the "ProphetSPLTool" attached below, select the device you have (G3/G4) and click "HardSPL". After that has run (your Prophet will have restart), you need to start the RUU for your ROM.
The Flash!
Once you have prepared your devices SPL, you need to charge the battery to more than 50% (for safety!)
Using "ProphetToolsLight", the same functions as above will be applied, with the addition of the ROM flash being carried out.
You'll need to copy the ROM file (*.nbf) into \Utils\Flash, and then do Hard/Soft SPL as per above. Once that has done, another RUU will open up and flash the ROM! Simply hard reset after that, and you're done!
Recovery
If at any stage your Prophet fails to start properly or can only enter bootloader follow this:
Download and install the latest version of ActiveSync (Google for it)
Download and unzip an AKU2.2 (No Vendor) ROM for the Prophet-any AKU 2.2 will do-from [here | ftp://xda:[email protected]/RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe] or [here | http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Prophet_ROMs]
Within ActiveSync DISABLE connect through USB (Tools->Connection Settings->Uncheck Allow Connect through USB)
Put the Prophet into bootloader mode (hold the camera button and insert the stylus into the larger hole next to the power socket)
Plug the Prophet in via USB
Run the RUU specific to your device (G3 or G4) from the AKU2.2 folder. If there is only one RUU, use that.
When it has finished: disconnect the Prophet, and then re-enable the connect through USB in actyivesync before reconnecting the device.
Your Prophet should now work!
Notes:
* It doesn't matter if you can't sync files, so long as when you plug the device in it says "USB" in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
* XP must be used if your device is a G4 (Vista may work for G3 devices but I'm not sure).

and then i started using RUU flashig the new rom
so now from my SPL on the boot screen i get that the hardSPL didn’t function, and its stuck in boot loader with old SPL
and now that i've flashed the new rom, i cant hardSPL again,,,,

i guess i can flash AKU 2.2 and then hardSPL again,
does it gonna work?

If you unzip the file to somewhere (desktop may be simplest) you'll need to copy the *.nbf to %INSTALLDIR%\Utils\Flash.

New ROMs should be detected under Vista, but flashing must be done under XP.
Flashing to WM6
Hi guys,
I am a Newbie who has just bought an M600 off ebay last night (so I don't know if its a G3 or G4 yet) and I am thinking about upgrading to WM6. I would like to follow this guide as it looks simple and I think that I could follow it.
However I have a few questions:
1)You mention using the SPL tool to prepare the SPL using SoftSPL or HardSPL but this seems to be the first thing that prophet tools light does. So can I perform the entire operation via Prophet tools light or do I need to use ProphetSPLTool first and then after the SPL is done switch to ProphetToolsLight? If I can why did is ProphetSPLTool mentioned in the guide.
2) How likely is it that I brick my M600 by doing this, as I would really really hate to brick it? Could it just randomly brick or would I need to do something very stupid to induce it? And is there anything not in this guide that you should tell me about?
3) Can I use this same tool to change the WM6 rom that I am using (i.e go from a WM6 platform to another WM6 platform)? and if I decide that I dont like WM6 can I use this same tool to restore it to the original orange WM5 rom (i.e WM6 to WM5). I I need a differant tool please could you point me in the right direction.

Just use Prophet Tools Light, and use the "SoftSPL" option. This cannot brick your device unless the ROM contains an SPL (which cloudyfas do not), Hard SPL can brick your device if you pick the wrong SPL, but other than that should not.

Wrong exe! The "Prophet Tools Light" (maybe called "SPLTool" or similar) is the one you must run!

Thanks very much I took the plunge and it was much less painless than I thought that it would be. I am now running prophet shadow v.2 and it all works excellently. Thank you for the advice.

Hi,
I followed the instructions, copied the nk.nbf file to the utils/flash directory but it seems that the rom flash program can not find the *.nbf file. The error is: "Error [238] : File read".
Is the nk.nbf the correct file name?
Do I need to copy more files?

As most of you have tried, you get either country or model error. Here is how you can do it.
1. Run MWG Atom Life WM6 ROM WWE_020108_B2_DS.exe, Click Next, wait for the completion of file extraction to C:\Windows\Temp\
you just need file FLASH.IDO. Copy that file to a folder, then you can cancel the whole updating process.
2. You need tool like Hex Workshop to remove the first 12 bytes.
Launch Hex Workshop, Open FLASH.DIO, remove the first 12 bytes,

Then save the files as AL1.IDO
3. Copy AL1.dio to the root of your storage card (make sure no other files or folders there)
4. Flash you device by enterring bootloader mode (record (hold) + reset), wait until it finishes, your device will perform a hard reset

I know it's been out there for a while, but ppl keeps asking on how to, and when i gave them a short instruction, they cant get it to work, so i thought, I have to do it anyway, so why not write one
as far as I know.. you just need to press the "DOWN" key while updating from offical ROM update program.. no need for any editing.
I got my life upgrade to the recent radio ROM by this method.

Found another easy way to upgrade your O2 Atom Life radio and ext ROM to MWG Atom Life ROM without the model ID error:
1- Run ROM from See O2 site but don't connect your device to PC.
2- Go to Windows/Temp, copy file pass.32 & paste it in somewhere. Then exit the program.
3- Run ROM of WMG but don't connect your device to PC.
4- Copy file pass.32 of step 2, paste it into Windows/Temp to replace pass.32.
5- Connect your device to PC & continue your program until it complete upgrade process.
6- Enjoy your new WMG ROM version.

Phones Not ready, Wait for 15 secs
I have an Atom Life device and just flashed my rom winmo5 to Atom Life WM6.5 23001 WWE orig by Chriscsh.. But after the flashing, i notices that whenever im going to text or send an SMS, its poping a window saying "Phones Not ready, Wait for 15 secs". And whenever im going to click the antena to select settings, its still displaying that warining msg.
And its been 2days now since it started poping-up.. Can't receive/send a msg. But i can receive a call.. And before flahsing my ROM to 6.5, everythings fine. I can text and send sms anytime..
Just read a thread somewhere that I need to install a patch or something for ROM WM6.5 23001 in order for it to get back to normal without that "Wait for 15 secs" msg sign.. Tried to turn off the Phone in Comm Manager several times, Hard reset it several times, soft reset it, Flash the the same Rom.. Which official ROM did you use before flashing the modified ROM? The extROM and radio of your device are so old... You should better flash the latest official ROM before flashing chriscsh's or my ROMs, as we both use the latest version of the official ROM for base.
I dont know what ROM...
All i know, i bought it with a ROM of windows mobile 5.0.. Sorry i tried to flash it with (PDAVIET ROM WM 6.1 CE OS 5.2.20924 Build 20924.1.5.0) before, but the the msg "The Phone is not ready. Wait 15 secs and try again" is still there.. That's why I put And flash it back again with the ROM of Chirscsh winmo6.5.
I really dont know how to update my radio or my rom to a new one, and i dont know how to check if its too old or not.. Can someone give me a thought on how to update it?

No no no no no no...
Don't worry too much, dude. That file will totally upgrade the whole deveice, including the radio, extended ROM and ROM itself. And the upgrade action is permanent, which means after upgrading by this file, the versions of the radio and extROM will never change when you flash other ROMs by flashing AL1.DIO files. The AL1.DIO files will only affect the version of ROM.
The official ROM can be converted to AL1.DIO by hexing(as what the first post introduced), but that isn't related to your case.
Byt the way, if your Atom Life is an O2 device, there may be something wrong when you run MWG's upgrade file. View the #6 post and you'll find the solution.
hmm.. I see.. But I'm encountering another problem when running the official rom. It stating an "ERROR: Customer or Model ID Error" after extracting it while my device is conencted.. Then if im going to run the official rom again, its gona restart my computer.. Don't know what problem that is..

i saw the Flash.DIO now.. when imatrix said reomove the 12bytes. does he mean delete all the highlightened numbers on his picture or just change it all to '0' (zero)?
because just edited the flash.dio and deleted all the 08 00 00 00 3032 30 31 30 38 31 31 E9 FD. Then when i flashed my atom life, after the 100% it rebooted it self then it hangs.. Even i try to hard reset or soft reset it, it hangs to "Device Clean boot".. And it doesn't boot at all on the main O.S...

Hmmm,... realy can't get the official MWG flash rom to work with the pass.32 and the Hex tool tutorial to flash my Atom life to update my Radio and extrom..
What i did: Convert the MWG Flash.DIO to AL1.DIO using the HEX but sad to say, it didn't work or flash my rom..

Come here to upgrade your device to the latest O2 version first, because your device was originally WM5.0(actually due to this reason, you have to take the WM5.0 upgrade file's pass.32, but...).
And then, try to run the upgrade process again. Tell me if there are problems.

Let me firstly make one thing clear: was your Atom Life a WWE device originally?
It's because the pass.32 file should be your device's latest official pass.32 file, and meanwhile the language should be the same as the original(which means WWE device should use WWE upgrade file's pass.32, and CHT device should use CHT upgrade file's pass.32)...

The pass.32 file that i'm importing is from the attached file of post#6 whenever i am going to use the MWG flashing rom.. Am i doing it right? hmm, this is making me .
There is no way to check if you forgot that. What was the language of your device when you buyed it?
The pass.32 file should be from your latest O2 upgrade file, but not the new MWG one you get. But still, you have to import the one of the right language.

hp doesn't come out with WM6 or WM6.1 for ipaq 6815.... there's only custom roms which are modified to work with ipaq 6815... you can choose from a variety of them in here.... have fun!...

i've read thru many of the replies in this forum. i'm a newbie and don't knw much abt roms. i tried upgrading or if u call it flashing my ipaq via PC and later SD. the PC flash did not work. i had to wait almost the whole day becos it said it was reading configuration from the phone. i later tried the flash via a transcend 1GB miniSD and till today the phone has gone off. i tried to power it on even with th e battery fully charged. my sis has the same phone i tried swapping batteries but it still didn't come on. i really need to upgrade to windows mobile 6.1 i formerly had WM 5.0, today itried again and it still stays on the boot screen.(white background with the HP logo and the Pbl 1.05 at the botton of the screen .
please i need help ASAP.
Downlgrade your bootloader to 1.01

You have to downgrade your bootloader from 1.05 to 1.01. Find in the following the instructions how to do it. I did it and it's working.
Be careful when you do downgrade, because you can end up without phone

1. Check your Boat loader version
(do a soft reset, and check the value printed at the bottom during the HP logo screen)
2. If you noticed that the last line states BL 1.00.05, it means you have boat loader 1.05 installed. You will need to download and flash your phone back to 1.01 via ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34053.exe (VERY DANGEROUS, FLASHING VIA SD IS MUCH SAFER!)
3. After successfully downgraded your phone's boatloader, or your version was already v1.01, you can proceed to flash your phone to the rom.
With the check done, proceed with the required files.
1. Go to download section to download the rom file. -- The rom that you downloaded, e.g (diskimg.nbo)
2. Download the file pcupdate.zip attached in this thread and unzip the contents to the same folder you used in step 1.
3. Download the latest Rom file and extract to the same folder
4. Run BuffereAddHeader.bat. It will take seconds to generate a diskimage_Ver.nb0. (You should have Java Runtime > 1.50 installed, http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp)
5. Move your phone to boatloader mode ( press the two - keys, follow by a poke at the soft reset hole with your stylus )
6. Connect the phone to the PC
7. Execute the Device Utility Update program and wait till it verifies the state. Click on Update Item "All" use cursor keys to change it to "OS ONLY" then hit next **** SELECT "OS ONLY", if you cant change it to "OS ONLY" DONT PROCEED!!! It should detect your device as Model 0 etc.
8. Press Next to begin flashing.
9. Once completed, the phone will reset by itself. Wait for a while for it to startup.
REMEMBER SELECT OS ONLY BY PRESSING DOWN IN THE SELECTION BOX

PC flashing using BL1.0.1 must be done from C:\Windows\Temp, so why not start everthing from this folder ie PCUpdate + ROM + missing file(s).

How to downgrade to WM5 using PC
1. download wm5 rom from http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...pappid=NextGen
2. run it and after entering the updating screen cancel it.
3. replace the hpRUU.exe in c:\IPAQ(default install) with the attached file hpRUU.exe in archive hpRUU.zip
4. Connect device to PC, then press and hold two "-" button and reset.
5. Run hpRUU.exe and do a normal update.
Note: you may delete eboot*.nbf to prevent bricking the device.
bootloader missing
well i m using HP rw 6815, n last night i had flashed a 6.5 rom , later i was unsatisfied with tat rom,

No bootloade aparantly but bootloader hp logo loaded but insted o o.0.o i had a ff.ff.ff bootloader. i dunno what that meant. i inserted a eboot.nb0 on sd reseted in bl (v1.0.5 from this forum).... bootloader updated oki.. but my phone transformed in a hp rw6828, and i can install 6828 rom working and bootin fine in rw6815, the rw6815 rom install via sd but restarts on boot screenn .. this appeard when i tried a downgrade from wm6.5 to wm5 when i try to upgrade via hpruu it looks tat i have a no language hpipaq model.. This roms get ur phone alive after this bug... or the restar bug... they work with both 1.0.1 bl and 1.0.5 bl more stable with 1.0.1... and i thing the developer of the rom did not change the indentifier of the rw6828 rof for 6815... i think it;s hybrid rom between... it works.

1. Remove Battery from your mobile.
2. Remove SIM card too.
3. Wait around 5 min. & put them back again.
4. Everything should be OK

I tried to flash the 6815 is here and I have put my diskimg.nb0 on 2gb memory card. Press the 2 buttons with the "-" and give it to reset with a stick ... I get into the bootloader and returns to the screen while windows. It might be because the bootloader has the pda is 1.0.5??
The problem is that trying to change the bootloader 1.0.1 is here and not working because my pda is Spanish.
How can I reduce it?

This Area is all about the HTC Touch2. HTC's code name for it is MEGA. It also has a model number, which is T3333. Here is the specification at the HTC website. It looks like this:

Beware: There are other devices with similar names, like for example Touch PRO2 or Touch Dual. These are different devices, and have their own forums. Please do NOT use anything from the Touch2 for those other devices, it may "brick" (destroy) your device.
2. How do I identify my Touch2
First of all: If it doesn't look exactly like the picture above, it is not a Touch2. To be sure, shut down your device, open the rear cover, remove the battery. There it should say HTC Touch2 T3333.
You can also check on your device in System - Device Information - Identity. The Model No. should be HTC Touch2 T3333.
3. Touch2 Special Edition / T3320 / India Model
There is a Special Edition of the Touch2 with the Model Number T3320. It seems to be sold mainly in India, and does not have GPS or 3G (just GSM). It seems the Touch2 ROMs work OK (after HardSPL, see below) on both models, with GPS and 3G obviously not working on the T3320.
4. Why would I care about changing my ROM?
There are many reasons, but here are some of the most relevant:
- If you want a different language (some ROMs have selectable languages, but many don't, and officially you can not change the language of your device)
- If you want to have the newest Windows Mobile 6.5.5 instead of the standard 6.5
- If you want a "light" ROM, with many applications etc. removed, but more space
- If you enjoy tweaking your device, playing with it, etc.
Note: If you are fine with English as the language, but need a special keyboard and support for special characters for example in SMS, then there might not be a need for flashing another ROM. For example Arabic and Russian input is available here for install. No new ROM and no HardSPL necessary, changes can be undone by hard resetting. Other languages might be available as well, please search this forum.
5. What's the risk in changing my ROM?
First of all you have a little risk of bricking (destroying) your device when you do the HardSPL (see below what that is). When flashing ROMs there should be very little risk involved. You can also always go back to the original ROMs. If your ROM language/version (T-Mobile etc.) is not available for download (see this thread), then you might want to dump it first for backup (see this thread).
Apart from that are warranty issues. The place where you bought your Touch2 might or might not be willing to do warranty repairs if you messed with your phone's ROM. Of course, you can always flash back the original ROM (or your backup), and also flash back the original SPL. In this case it would be hard to get no warranty, if you didn't destroy anything else by yourself.
6. Before you can flash a new ROM: HSPL / HardSPL
Normally you can only flash original ("Stock") ROMs that are meant for your device. If you have a standard Touch2, then these are the ROMs directly from HTC. These phones, which have no brand name by some telecom company (like T-Mobile, Orange, ...), are called "unbranded" phones. If you have a branded phone, then you can only flash the ROMs provided by your telecom company. If you try to flash anything else, it will either show an error message, or you even might risk bricking (destroying) your device. Think of the SPL as the piece of software that starts first when you turn on the Touch2. There is a security lock in there, which prevents custom ROMs or other language ROMs to be flashed. There is, however, a modified SPL made by the XDA-developers user jockyw2001. It is called HardSPL or HSPL, and allows you to flash basically whatever you want. (Note: There might be some restrictions still, I am not sure - someone might want to give more info in case certain ROMs like Russian need more than just HSPL)
To change your SPL to HardSPL, please go to the first post of this thread and follow the directions there very carefully. There are lots of small hints what you can do to make it work, even if it doesn't work at first.
7. Checking your SPL version: SPL Tri-Color boot screen
Turn on (or reset) while you keep the "volume down" key pressed. You will see a screen like this:
If you have changed your SPL to HardSPL successfully, this screen will say SPL-1.28.Hard
8. Where to get ROMs

9. How to flash a ROM
Please go to the first post of this thread, there is a custom ROM flash utility attached at the bottom of the first post. You can also download it with this direct link. If that one doesn't work for you, DrJason pointed out that the utility in this post works OK as well, also under Vista.
You basically need to do these steps:
(Connect the phone to your Windows PC with the USB cable, you need to have Active Sync set up and connected to your phone)
1. Apply HardSPL (Number 6 above) and check that it was successful (Number 7 above)
2. Restart the phone and boot normally
3. Copy the ROM file (nbh file) into the same directory as the ROM update utility
4. Run romupdateutility.exe and follow the instructions on the screen
5. After flashing is complete, do a hard reset (Number 10 below)
Note: Alternatively some people had success flashing from an SD card, where you don't need an PC connection. The card must be FAT32 formatted and less than 4GB total capacity. Rename the ROM (".nbh" file) to "PB74IMG.nbh", copy to your card, switch off phone, hold volume down and press power button, then continue according to the instructions on the display.
10. How to fix many issues: Hard Reset / Recovery
To reset your Touch2 completely you can do a hard reset. This sets everything back to the currently flashed ROM's defaults, so you should do it after every new ROM you flash. Caution! That means all of your settings, programs, SMS, phonebook (unless on your SIM), messages, modifications, etc., will get lost! So do a backup first. (See number 11 below)
Turn on (or reset) while you keep the both volume buttons pressed. A screen will appear asking you to press "volume up" to do the hard reset, or any other key to cancel it.
11. How to backup some stuff
For Appointments, Call Logs, Contacts, SMS & Messages (no MMS!), Speed Dials, Tasks etc. you can use "PIM Backup" which you can find in this thread.
Another way to backup for example contacts is to synchronize with a program on your PC like Outlook.

learned something new today. downloaded wwe Asia ship(2) 1.32.729.3(72483), one that the model number of your phone is known by the firmware. my t3333 changed into t3320 :/. for guys looking for stock English roms, this is no go.

Not just branded phones, you can not install wwe rom to italian device,you can not install WWE rom to asian wwe device, etc.
If there is an error during flash (hard drive fail, blackout), your device wont be a brick, you can step to bootloader and flash again.
So the best way to install hard-spl, and you can do anything

Is there a possibilities to upgrade or install a new ROM in my Mega under the Windows 7 ultimate x 64?
Everything I'll try, evan the hard SPL, it give me an error.
Is an incompatibilities with this OS, is necessary to install a x86 version of Windows 7, or this kind of problem is for all x64 Windows OS?

imo if active sync or w.e comes pre installed with win7 workd and detects your mega, then everything should go fine. but of course i don't even recommend win7 for his. goto someone with win xp and get it done.

As I say the x64 of Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1( for Windows 7 x64) does not recognized my Mega for HSPL and ROM's. Is working well for files transfer, internet share etc
Before I've installed the x64 version on my PC, with HTC Artemis I was able to do everything - HSPL, the new ROM's, file transfer etc - but I never used for Mega because at that time it wasn't an HSPL for Mega. Meanwhile I installed the x64 Windows 7 OS and I couldn't use this OS for Artemis and I realized that for Mega also.
Because are two versions of Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 ( x86 and x64 ) and in Windows 7 x64 is already created the x86 directory for this kind of applications I will give a try to the version x86. Why not?
I'll be back with a result.

The solution it was to change one registry in to the WM. Thanks to jockyw2001 for his HSPL and all developers who search for the solutions.
"still doesn't work look up this registry key in the phone:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\EXT_FLASHDRV]
Change the value "Dll" from "OEM_FLASHDRV.dll" to "OEM_FLASHDRVXXX.dll" and reboot the device. After rebooting into WM and after activesync is ready run flash-hardspl.bat . Check in tricolour bootloader screen if it is installed and then boot again into WM and change the registry value back to its old value."
