I decided to look at DCD's rom to get GPS working. I was told I needed to unlock it first and was sent "Hard-SPL-MFG.exe" which I think loaded Oli Pro 2.40.
I got to the point where I said I could load another ROM if I wanted to and ran DCD's 2.2.3 ROM for sprint. It appeared to go fine, but when I boot it just sits at the Sprint logo. ActiveSync doesn't see the phone either, which prevents me from trying anything again.
Did you flash the Radio to 3.27?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=362563
I unlocked using Hard-SPL-MFG.exe, then flashed the radio to 3.27, then flashed DCD's 2.2.0 rom followed by a soft reset.
If you get stuck and need to get back to the bootloader, hold down the camera and power button while performing a soft reset with the stylus.

This part is solvable. You can put the phone into bootloader mode again by holding the Power & Camera buttons while resetting with the stylus. Then you can connect via USB & reflash.

This doesn't work. It says there's no device connected, even though the phone shows USB once I plug it in.
And I didn't know what a Radio is. Apparentely I'm supposed to flash that after I do the ROM, but the ROM didn't work.
did you try a hard reset?

are you checking with activesync or the radio updater? activesync wont see the phone in bootloader mode, however if you try to flash the radio rom it should flash
OK, I just had to reset it before going back into the bootloader. The OEM ROM loaded fine, so I'll try again.
What is a radio anyway? I have a 3.27.00.exe. What's that going to do if I load it?

The radio is the hardware that controls all radio-wave communication from your device: cell service, wifi, gps service, and bluetooth. When we talk about radios here, we're referring to the software for the radio hardware. You're downloading a new firmware, or a new operating image for the hardware, that changes its capabilities.
When you run the 3.27.00.exe file, that will upgrade your radio's software version to tell it how to communicate with GPS, plus whatever other changes were made.
I tried this again, this time loading the 3.27 radio after the bootloader. It flashed, but when booting it just sits at the "HTC smart mobility" logo.
I tried to load DCD's ROM from the bootloader but got error 260 cause there's no ActiveSync connection, I'm guessing.
can someone point me to old unlocker (sprint mogul)? i'm facing problems with powersave/sleep mode issues on 2.17

I have installed the rom update on my mogul. everything went ok on the installation. once the phone was done with update it restarted. It loads the "HTC smart mobility" logo and it just freezes. Can some please help me recover my mogul back?
Just put the stock rom back on. Install from SD card if you have to, but i think you can install from windows if you put it in BL mode. maybe....
could you give me a step by step direction guide?

I am having the EXACT same issue. I went from the 2.17 rom to the new DCD 2.0 rom, but now I'm stuck on the bootloader screen.
I first used Titanunlocker, then followed directions and did the RUU. Then I flashed the DCD rom. Am I missing something?
Thanks all in advanced

Answered my own question
I did not run the new radio. So now every time I try to align my screen it reboots. Anyone know?
i had the same problem between flashing the rom and the radio. just put the mogul into bootloader mode (power on while holding camera button) and flash the radio.
same problem. got it working by flashing radio and rom. the radio's and rom need to be compatible or else it'll still give the same problem. did radio 3.17 and dcd 2.0
no luck

I tried holding the Camera button while pressing the power button but it does nothing.
I tried taking out the battery and holding the camera button while pressing the power button to startup the phone that was as well.
Any help would be appreciated. I'll contiunue searching but I'm starting to get scared.
EDIT = Nevermind...I'm an idiot. I just had to hold down the power and camera button while restting the phone to get back into the bootloader...just like everyone has told me in the writeups.
It worked
Thanks you all for your comments, I was able to reinstall Windows Mobile with the method above. My phone was freezing at start up all the time and I couldn't connect to my pc but now it works

I was going to AT&t to try to get a replacement because the keyboard was very loose so I was flashing everything back after flashing the rom back I was flashing the stock hard spl but instead of replacing the nbh file I just put the file on my storage card and flashed it (VERY STUPID)
When I turn my phone on I get the tricolor screen and a message that says: Upgrade ROM code error Please try agian =
and nothing happens I tried hard reseting it but nothing happens, I can't get past that screen, I also tried flashing a new rom through the storage card method since I can't connect with Active Sync
Please help me , I just got my phone in November and I don't want to loose it, I would like to see what help I can get before going thought ATT customer service and telling them I didn't do anything and that it just happened by itself
Thanks to any people who respond

if you can get to the boot loader screen you can probably flash any rom. simply rename the rom file to RAPHIMG.nbh and place it on your memory card, hold volume down + reset with stylus. you should be set. good luck.
does the bootloader still show the olinex 1.90

No, I am trying to flash it back to the olinex 1.90 but I keep getting an error in ruu
Have you tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=467141
try flashing hard-spl once again. if it works your saved. as far as i know the people over at att only check for water mark at least in my place the y do. good luck
I found that it was not possible to flash the HardSPL from tri-colour screen.
It only worked for me when windows mobile was fully booted. When you start the HardSPL RUU the phone's screen will just go black, and will return when the update is completed.
I would try connecting the phone while in tri-colour mode, then running the original rom RUU on the PC and seeing if it works. If it gets to the stage where the loading bar shows up on the phone you should be ok.
Once the rom is loaded, start your windows mobile, connect to the PC, and run the RUU for HardSPL.
Best of luck to you!
Thanks for your guys responses I have successfully recovered my phone, I just flashed the original ATT rom from ruu
Very glad that you found solution to fix that problem, because it could happend to any one. Especially after I was thinking to flash everything back to att stock because of my usb exit is getting loose.

I'm stuck on the screen that says SPL-1.20.01 Olipro did I brick it ? please help!
No, it is not bricked. You should just have to flash the Titan Unlocker, refer to this thread->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423177
That should get you going. After that you will need to flash a rom with radio.3.4+ (perferably 3.42.50), or flash the radio, then flash the rom.
If that doesn't resolve your issue just search for Titan Relocker
Thank you !! greatly appreciate it trying it now

Dude I dont want to be mean to you but I have noticed the past couple days you jumping right in.. With knowledge or not.. What are you trying to do? Your answer is wrong as the User states that he is stuck in bootloader, to flash a bootloader needs to be done from a functioning OS.. Also by the looks of his bootloader it was never unlocked so how could he use the re-locker?
There are far more steps then just flashing an unlocked bootloader from where he is at in stuck bootloader. He may need to run ExitBootloader before trying anything depending on if he can reset the phone and it doesnt go right to bootloader (that would mean stuck bootloader)
Hint * Exitbootloader fix (if stuck in bootloader meaning even a reset will not get out of it), then Branded Carriers Stock ROM (User should know if it was GPS or not), then Olipro 2.40 Unlocked bootloader, then Custom ROM and GPS Radio.
Thank you Ryan ! I'll search for exit bootloader now ...

Here I cringe and wince to have to post this link at ppc dorks but its the first thing I found with easy instructions. Read the part about the titan, disable usb connections by right clicking active sync icon in taskbar and then plug the phone in after putting into bootloader (i know its stuck, just do it anyways, power + camera + reset button for couple seconds) Then run the Exitbootloader.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9229
Then from there follow my previous instructions, you need to put the Stock ROM back on the phone whatever carrier its branded to. Then while in the Stock ROM's OS re-enable active sync connections and plug the phone in and make sure its synced and working properly. Then flash the Olipro 2.40 bootloader. Then while the phone is still in the olipro 2.40 bootloader flash the Custom ROM you want to use and then the GPS Radio. Perform a hard reset and pull the battery for a couple minutes. Then you should be set to jet.
Ok I think I rushed into it without waiting for your advice & now I'm out of the first screen but stuck in htc mobility/ no radio screen.. wtf ? am I that dumb ?
It keeps saying that my device is not connected to the PC... I made sure about the USB option in active sync & stuff... pls help

Make sure you are using Active Sync 4.5 and not using a Hub. Make sure to plug the USB cable into a main port on the PC. While the phone is unplugged. Manually put the phone in bootloader (power + camera + reset "little hole near memory card slot" buttons for couple seconds and release), make sure the active sync usb connections are disable from active sync connection settings on your PC's taskbar. Then plug in the phone (while in bootloader in to computer) and flash your Stock Branded Carriers ROM by running the Rom Update Utility EXE, RUU or exe however it comes. Once that is done you can unplug the Phone and let it boot up customize and all. Then re-enable the active sync usb connections in connection settings (PC Taskbar Active sync icon) and plug the phone in. Should sync up. Icon will turn green. Now flash the Olipro 2.40 bootloader and let it do its thing make sure to pay attention. When it is done it will still be in bootloader, then you can go ahead and flash your Custom GPS Titan ROM and GPS Titan RADIO followed by a hard reset and battery pull for a couple minutes.
You're a great teacher.. awesome step by step instructions... after all this, I think I'm gonna stick with the stock ROM ... so much for the flashing & all that !
I'll keep you informed about the progress .. thanks a million !!

No problem, well if you stay with the stock ROM stop before the Olipro 2.40 bootloader. That is for GPS ROM's only.
So if you are a little nervous and wish to remain stock follow my instructions up until the Olipro 2.40 part.
If you wish to continue and go the Custom ROM route thats up to you. Just remember if switching Carriers you need to Load PRL, Do PST and QPST settings. Plus the Custom ROM may need a Carrier CAB installed and registry edits for MMS. With my Custom ROMs you do not need Carrier cab or registry edits (but you still need to do PST/QPST and PRL) . I have 5 carriers to choose from right now for example.

If you are using Windows XP, Try installing these drivers to your Computer, restart your Computer, make sure you are plugged in to only a main port on the pc, unplug every other usb device just to make sure. and go over the steps again. You may need to pull the battery and let it sit for awhile, then put the battery in (do not power up) and charge for a little bit. Then try again.
Thanks for your patience ..greatly appreciated !

No problem, I am pretty sure the Stock ROM you need to flash has to be NON GPS as per the bootloader that is on there now. Just making sure you know that.

no you didnt, you said teh phone goes into bootloader but then the flash fails, (or words to that effect)
That is quite common and there is usually a simple workaround
However, since you arent interested in testing my advice, i wont bother telling you it and you can find it yourself.
did you go to the boot loader manually or not ?
Yes I powered off device then powered on while holding the volume button and then connected usb, it still says serial
anyone?....
Hey, i tried to install android on my HD2 several times and failed, but then i noticed i had wrong version of hspl so i couldn't start MAGLRD (i had 3.03 i think i should've had 2.08 right?) Anyway i then tried to remove the HSPL by formatting my sd card and putting the file from original rom (i don't remember the name) and renaming it to LEOIMG, it started installing the rom i went to another room, when i came back it had finished and was on the red/blue/green screen and it said update failed and i had to retry, but now none of the exes work like rom updates or task29 nothing. when i turn on the phone it says "Not allow" and then goes to the red/blue/green screen. Please help me, I'm freaking out is there any way to fix it? Is there even a way to access SD card when the phone does this?
TomaToz, use the computer to flash via USB cable.
I can't, none of the rom updates or ANYTHING works since this, they all give errors
go to the magLDR page and look for how to remove it.
then start from scratch
There's no info how to remove it but even if there was how would i? None of the exes work and i can't turn the phone on, also i dont think MAGLRD got installed cause i had HSPL 3.03 instead of 2.08
Come on isn't htere anyone who ca help me? :|
are you sure you haven't bricked your phone?
because it just seems you did :/
I don't think you read the bold "You need HardSPL 2.08 before installation!" just above the history?
anyway, can you not flash a radio via USB as well?
also, if you post the error messages you get maybe we can help you more.
you can also check here:

EDIT: WOW, i tried to run the hspl installation and installed hspl 2.08 successfully, not i turned my phone on and its the screen where you choose to start the update for rom. This is the update after which my hd2 said "Update failed" so I'm scared to take any steps, please respond and tell me what to do

radio 2.08.50.08_2
2.08.HSPL
3.14.531.1 elegancia rom(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=651729)

sofialoca, task29 is not a thing to be "installed". It's a flash formatting. So you did everything correctly and deleted all from your phone except.. hmmm... stick together.
To flash other rom - just press Volume Down and push reset (under the battery cover) KEEPING VOLUME DOWN PRESSED. Keep it pressed until you are again in bootloader mode. Then connect USB and flash whatever you want.
thank you Andrew!I found the problem...
