When I Open Internet Explorer it connects but it says My Vision Name or password might be incorrect... Please if Anyone had this problem tell me how to fix it
Try to run IOTA
Run Phone - Menu - Options - Services - Internet - Get Settings - Start
See if that helps (worked for me on an older rom)
If that doesnt work -
Start - Settings - Connetions - Connections - Add a new modem connection
Then Click Next - #777 in "Number to dial" - Finish
Click Manage existing connections and select the connection you just created and then try to connect to the net. It will ask you for username and password...leave it blank and click save password and connect
post back if it works
I am also having this problem and I tried to do what you said but it still doesnt work. I get the error message:
Cannot Connect - The current connection cannot be used for your request. Please end the current connection and try again.

I have sx56 att upgraded wm2003.
I have taken services for gpras and tried to setup in my sx56.
following are the details of gprs settings that my mobile career provided me.
+++++++++++++++++
1. start -> setting -> connection -> tap-connection.
2. under internet setting .... choose "my work network " -> add new modem.
3. tap "general" and connection setting name as "XXXXXXXX"
4. enter connection name as "XXXXXXXX"
5. select "cellular line gprs".
6. by tapping next --- given APN "XXXXXXXXX".
7. user name and password keep blank and tap finish.
8. again go to connection -> manage existing connection -> select proxy setting
9. tap on both the block and go to 'advance' ... in first window write URL and and in WAP setting enter "xx.xx.x.xxx" - 9201. -> tap ok.
10. from the desktop -- tap coverage tower and connect using "XXXXXX" connection.

ok all the above setpes are done by me and I am able to establsih connection.
I have also checked by command prompt and checked ipconfig details.
I found all assigned ip and dns in it.
the problem is I am not able to open any site in IE browser and page processing shows loading.
can anybody tell me what can be the problem.

I just unlocked my ATT phone using the Wizard
WorKs flawlessly except the Calendar and dTree both end up in German
Is there any fix
The other problem is GPRS

I just unlock my phone using the xda-developers serv 1.2exe and after that use a upgrade rom and radio from siemens to wm2003
my radio is a.33.02 and the rom version is a.20.09 ENG
and is working beautifull

I used to be with AT&T with my 8525 and then switch to Sprint which of course doesnt work with Sprint. So i ended up getting a Samsung Rant and dont exactly like the web browser so i was wondering exactly how i would go about sharing my data connection with the 8525 via blutetooth. I tried it once and this is what i did:
1. I went to settings and clicked on connection settings under the connections tab.
2. clicked on Add a new modem connection under "My ISP"
3. When i do that it asks to enter a name for the connection and to select a modem, so i select bluetooth as modem and click next.
4. Then it asks for the device the connection is on and i select my rant and hit next
5. then it asks exactly this and has a text box under it: "Enter the number exactly as it should be dialed. include extra numbers, such as an ouside line or credit card" didnt exactly know what to put here so i just put a few randon numbers in to see what next step would be
6. then it asks for user name password and domain....dont know what to put here so i just clicked finish
7. when i try to connect to it. it says connecting and a message on my rant says entering into bluetooth data mode, and the 8525 tries to connect for a minute and says connection failed and goes back to today screen.
So if anybody could tell me in detail what info it is that i need it would be great. and also under select modem drop-down box there is a selection called "cellular line(GPRS, 3G)" is it possible i could just put the info for the data plan in there and it connect to the sprint data plan if that is possible..if it is can you tell me in detail the information u need and how to do it......THANKS

I have a problem using my proxy settings:
I go to 'edit my proxy server' and I put the proxy server (as always, it was running nice...) and I go to advanced, click on HTTP server (172.xx.xx.x:8080) and I enter my net user and my pass (I talk about work connection).
Everything looks nice but when I close the connection settings tab I open for second time the same tabs and it appears a different pass!!!!! My pass have 6 letters and it appears ************ 12 characters!!!!!! and, of course, the net doesn't run as ever......
WHY!!!!????? It was running for 2 years!
I thought maybe it could be a problem after update my ROM, but I returned to my old ROM and it continues......mmmmmmm.....I'm lost
P.D. I open Opera and I put my net name & pass and I surf normally...but to update weather and mail (for example) is impossible...

I don't use proxy myself but you have flashed back to old rom and it don't work you could try the Nvid recovery ROM as this would totally restore your device back to standard ,(you would have to hard spl again) but all drivers settings and such get restored to standard
So I found a fix for this error. This morning I found if you go into the Internet Explorer and go into Options then Other you will see in there it says which would you like to view in. Either Mobile Device or Desktop. In this case it's most likely already set for Desktop. You want to switch to Mobile Device. There ya go. No more "403" Error.
Of course make sure you already have the settings set for WAP, meaning Ryan's Cab package for example.
Will someone PLEASE explain to me how i get Vodaphone GPRS to work on WM6.5?
When i insert the Sim it detects it as a BPL sim and it fails to automatically get the settings,i've tried connection manager AND IT JUST CRASHES upon launch
If i have to input the settings manully will someone please direct me in a gprs-for-dummies kinda way?

Hi bro here's the setting
Frist goto
Setting than connection and tap on connection
Then u will find advanced option below tab it
Then select new
Give name as vodafone
Then tap on modem and create new
Name it vodafone then select cellular line (gprs) than next
Then give access point name as
portalnmms
Then next and finish leave user name and password blank
Now select proxy setting below
Check on both the box
Give proxy server as
10.10.1.100
Now select advanced
Than select http
Edit server as above and port as
9401
Also configure for wap;secure wap and socks as the above way
Then tab ok and you are done
