My connection to Sprint at my home sucks, 1 or less bars. If I force roaming I get 4+ bars. However, my data is only at 1X while roaming.
I'm connecting to the Alltel network, and know they have evdo/broadband coverage in my area.
What can I do to connect to Alltel roaming EVDO?

I have a sprint HTC Touch pro. While Roaming, I have been trying to get EVDO Roaming on Verizon, and Alltel.
Came across this forum with information on how to get your Sprint phone to roam EVDO on Alltel's, and Verizon's Networks.

Also here is the link with the Alltel PRL's.

Has anyone tried this with success. Would love to EVDO Roam on all 3 networks if this works.
I dont know why it wouldnt work...not carrier specific.
You have 3 phones on 3 seperate networks that need to roam?
No 1 phone. According to the detail If I load the alltel PRL, I can roam EVDO on all three networks.
When I use my Samsung Galaxy S 3 on Wi-fi, it is blazing fast. However, when I go over to data, it is slow. It's not that my carrier's network is slow. Basically, my country just recently implemented HSDPA (H+). However, since it is only a basic development at this point, it keeps switching from HSDPA to 3G and back to HSDPA and back to 3G. During this "transition", the 2 arrows below are not lighted up for about 15 seconds, effectively nulling internet data connection for awhile. Is there a way to disable HSDPA and keep 3G? I don't wish to go over to GSM (2G)
I previously owned an iPhone which had fast 3G.
This is actually ok when it's not switching.

I'm new to using Tmobile an just not sure if I'm getting all the connections that i should with my mega. I'm using the unlocked canadian mega the 527M model
in the area around my house i get LTE so i see the LTE icon and i also sometimes will see H+ i know both of these are high speed connections.
however, other than this when i get in a non LTE area i only ever see an E icon and the speed is so insanely slow i would describe it as near what i would get on sprint as 1x speeds.
I've also a few times seen just a G icon which i have no idea what it means.
i have never seen a 3G icon and i am thinking that i should definitely at least be getting 3g speeds in many of the non LTE areas and the tmobile coverage map says this as well but the speeds are so slow in these areas there is no way they are 3g. we are talking way under a meg like 150kbs
i don't know if my APN settings could be improved or if there is even a problem but the symbols i see in the areas i see them seem wrong.
G is GPRS, E is EDGE both dial up speeds. H and H+ are 3g speeds. H+ was marketed as "4G". LTE is true 4g. If your getting any connection your APN is fine. Depending on the bands that your mega supports you can check tmobiles coverage map or this crowd source map for the 1900mhz band http://www.airportal.de/

My hometown has terrible Tmo reception and only Edge data speeds. Is there a way to force the phone to register ATT when Tmo is weak? And is it possible to register with data other than ATT Edge, I know LTE is available there. Tmo has free roaming to ATT but is the speed restricted on the device or at the tower? Can a custom APN workaround the speed problem?
As far as I know, you only get 100mb of roaming data. That's all I got anyways, I have unlimited everything as well.
To answer your question, I have no idea.

Hi guys. I'm currently using Tctien342's sAOSP Project Rom. Using AT&T's data network in the US, on the signal indicator, it says I'm on the 3G data connection. On the stock MIUI rom, it indicates if I'm on 3G or HSPA+ data network.
I know that HSPA+ is the same as 3G, but is there a way I can have the indicator differentiate 3G or HSPA+ connection?
HSPA+ is different to 3G... HSPA+ is faster than 3G and as fast as the slowest frquencities of LTE

HSPA+(Evolved High-Speed Packet Access)
HSPA+ is an evolution HSPA(HSDPA&HSUPA). It is a 4G technology that allows download at a rate of up to 168Mbps.
4G LTE(Long Term Evolution)
LTE is a 4G communication standard that supports HD video streaming, download speed as high as 299.6Mbps
Okay. So there is a difference between the two networks. But what I'm wondering is do the AOSP roms indicate whether I'm on 3G or HSPA+ network?
They actually do, when you are on 3G it shows you "3G", when you are on HSPA it shows you " H", and when you are on HSPA+ it shows you "H+". You will normally be on 3G or H, H+ is tipically used only for data, so if you have it turned off you wont see that plus. It deppends on your carrier too and its bands that uses for data and calls
