any good wifi - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo ROM Development

are their any good war driving programs for the athena .that work in 128pi

I have the 7501 quite good on it's own sniffing wifi hot spots
and unprotected/protected signals on its own using the onboard
Wi-Fi detector or just Wireless LAN but sniffers such as WiFiFoFum2
or PeekPocket and WiFiKnife enhance its abilities.

looking for a good/cheap indoor antenna

I'm looking for a good and cheap indoor antenna for my pocket pc. Is there such
a thing to pick up better wifi from my router and neighbors connection - so that we can play lan games against each other and so on? Is there such a thing as a wifi and bluetooth combo antenna?

If prime had true wireless n (5GHz) would disconnects not exist?

My Samsung gs2 has this and most of my devices also. I was surprised to see prime doesn't.

"N" capability is not a description of which wireless band a chipset can use.
Short answer: No
5Ghz wireless tends to have a shorter range than 2.4Ghz anyway and most people seem to be having issues when far away - so they'd probably be switching to 2.4Ghz at this stage anyway...
The main benefit of 5Ghz over 2.4Ghz is that 5Ghz has much less interference from blutooth, microwaves, DEC phones, other wireless networks and so on. If the problem was purely 2.4Ghz then you'd have problems with other devices as well.
Pogo Stick Mechanical Contacts are Signal Killers.
If the maker cuts cost by using materials that easily tarnish or oxidize, you can be sure that signal will face an untimely death. It's just like your flashlight that needs to be shaken to revive the battery contacts. So it doesn't matter what freq band you use, other factors are in play here.

Markedly better internet(wireless?) performance on unsecured wireless?

Only rooted (not cm7/9) 16g/1g NT using Dolphin.
I seem to notice very significantly better internet/wireless performance when at McDonalds or some other unsecured wireless than at home even though my home wireless is a much stronger signal and my home internet is 8mb/s DSL. My home wireless router is a fairly high quality dlink dir655 N/gigabit. All of my other home devices (computers), wireless and wired, have good internet performance.
I'm wondering if the processor is low powered enough compared to my laptop, etc that just dealing with the wpa encryption impacts performance noticably or if I should be looking at other configuration issues either on my wireless router or the NT.
Thanks much for any thoughts.
I could be wrong but Im pretty sure Ive always noticed a difference with my wireless devices. I leave mine unsecured, turn off the SSID broadcast and turn on the MAC filter. Nobody even knows its there, and even if they did, they cant connect unless I add their devices MAC address.

[Q] Bluetooth vs. Wifi

I hope I'm posting this in the right sub-forum, since I think this is not a device-specific problem.
So, I recently bought a Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 and as you probably know, the Drone can be controlled via an Android App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.parrot.freeflight). First I simply tried the app with the default touch controls, but it was not precise enough and I missed the tactile feedback. Then I had the idea of connecting my PS3 controller with the Sixaxis app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller) to my phone (Moto G 2nd Gen., 2014, Dual SIM variant) and controlling the Drone with that. And here comes my problem:
If I have only Wifi enabled on my phone I can fly about 25-30m with the Drone
If I enable Bluetooth (to use the PS3 controller) and Wifi the distance drops to about 10m and I get a lot of connectivity issues to the drone.
I also tried my ASUS Transformer Prime (TF201), that's even worse. As soon as I turn on Bluetooth the Wifi signal drops to almost nothing.
I have found others with similar problems (for example: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...wifi-reception-severely-affected-by-bluetooth or here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...-samsung-galaxy-tab-s-10-5-wifi-problems.html).
Can anybody explain why the Wifi quality drops (massively) when Bluetooth is turned on?
I was experimenting a little more this weekend and the issue is definitely there. I was outside of the city, where there was no other Wifi or anything. Looked at the networks with Wifi Analyzer before and after turning Bluetooth on. Without BT all channels had max. rating, with BT on they all dropped to 1-2 stars...

Range extender

Does there exist any sort of range extender or repeater?
When I am on the opposite side of the house, or outside mowing the lawn with phone charging, I miss notifications.

If your device has WiFi and cloud syncing is enabled, any WiFi you can connect with your phone will work. Of course, if you do need an WiFi extender, there are many: WDS usually only work reliably if all routers are the same brand and the best one would be extenders that use the electrical wires (common power plugs in house) to extend the WiFi range but they are more expensive.
WiFi
Make use of the WiFi feature on the watch. While the phone is near, configure WiFi using your phone.
After configuration, if the watch is near phone you can turn off the WiFi on watch as it consumes more battery and notifications come directly from phone via bluetooth.
While you are far from watch, turn on the WiFi so that notifications come for the apps you have installed on your watch. This may not include notification while you get calls or text messages. Hope this helps.
