I am trying to create a kitchen based on 3.35 for sprint and think I have everything. I have searched but cannot figure out how to remove stock dialer and stock comm manager so I can have custom oems in kitchen without crashes.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Josh

so does anyone know if we can tweak our touch.dll file to allow the touchflo cube to work? I tried replacing the the touch.dll with the one from the wizard kitchen file and i could see the cube but i lost all touchscreen capabilities until hard reset. If i just try running the cab file and launching the cube without changing the dll file the i get only a black screen.
it works correctly with none of the other htc stuff installed. I had it working using the instructions everyone else used ... accept when i started installing apps, it interfered with them and began not working again (black screen).
Also, it required the new rom update to work (for me).
The problem with that is that you need those apps installed to get full functionality dont you.

For sure...it's not worth losing all the functionality right now just for the cube (IMHO). I'm sure we'll have it soon enough though, these guys are crafty!
OK So the dumped rom is up, Now what do we do to cook up a rom with touchflo cube?
Yes, I have used the search trying to answer this question. Before I upgraded to DCD 2.2.6 ROM, I was able to hide/unhide the ExtROM in the EXT_FLASHDRV registry entry. Now, after installing 2.2.6, the EXT_FLASHDRV key is not present. I have tried adding it with no luck. So is it possible to unhide the ExtROM after installing 2.2.6 or do I need to go back to the stock ROM, unhide, then reinstall 2.2.6?
I do not think rolling back to the stock rom, unhiding and then flashing Dcd's 2.2.6 rom again will keep the extrom unhidden. The rom currently flashed will install in it's originally fabricated state.
Unfortunately with this in mind, I do not have a answer for unlocking Dcd's rom if you have already tried with no success the registry edit. Maybe Dcd will release a version that implements the same extrom unlocker like no2chem's nueExtRom which is available on build 5047...

physically, the partition is still there but the driver is not loaded and the device will not see the extrom at all. what do you need it for?
i don't know if it is in there, and some people will probable think i'm crazy (which isn't too far from the truth), but i was wanting to get the sprint yellow today color scheme. just got used to it and personally like it better than the ones availabe.
install htcustom 1.8...go to the last tab on the program and u should see unhide ext rom or something similar...select that and click save...u might get error...just quit...soft reset using a program not the hole on bottom...and u should see ext rom
With advanced configuration, I believe you can both unhide the ext rom, and unlock it, allowing you to clear the contents.
i want to backup all the stuff that comes with the latest leaked rom, sprint telenav is working for me and i want to install it on dcd rom
Just download and install the CAB directly from Telenav.
The other apps that you wish to keep you can probably also find CAB files or OEMs to add to the kitchen of your choice.
Anyways, here's a link to the extended ROM contents from the 3.35 release:

Hi all. First post and it has to be really easy to fix (I'm sure). I've searched to no avail ... here goes ...
I have tried several flavors of ROMs and cooked my own. I have XV6800 which has not been able to connect with Bluetooth since removing the stock ROM. I have the 3.35 Radio that is supposed to be just fine with BT (right?) I am not sure if I should be selecting certain options while using the OS Builder or not. Even when using a dcd kitchen and only changing to VZ and Titan options I still get no Bluetooth. Any ROM wizards that could lend a hand? I sure would appreciate it ...
Just asking to make sure....so in commanger and tap bluetooth icon does it intiate? Blue blinking light? What about in bluetooth settings?
Yes. In commanager after tapping bluetooth icon, it initiates and flashes the blue light. If I tap settings I see all the options and nothing hangs or locks up.
It just doesn't "see" anything anymore and nothing "sees" it.
What do you have cooked into rom...what programs do you have installed?
I have nothing except threaeded MMS at this point. I even got new phone to make sure it wasn't hardware so I know that it's something I either am or am not doing.
Would it be wise to use OS builder with say no2's newest with nothing checked but threaded MMS?
No2chem uses PPCkitchen if im not mistaken. You could find alot more help with that over at ppcgeeks.
Right ... I only asked that because I can not seem to get dcd's to play nice. Any suggestions as far as dcd's releases?
Have you tried using one of the prebuilt roms from dcd? and not the kitchen?...If you give a few hours more than likely someone more experienced should chime in.
Yes and no ... I flashed the ROM which requires the carrier CAB but I can not get the Verizon CAB to initialize, install, or otherwise work. I tried from activesink and SD card ... any recommendations?
So when you run the cab file from your phone what does it do...you install cab from your phone booted
Flashed 3.1.2 ROM and then copy and pasted Verizon.CAB to storage ... that worked. So the Verizon CAB was installed succesfully now. Now my bluetooth works! I appreciate your help. If I want/need any thing else as far as apps (like the threaded MMS) I can just install the appropriate CABs correct?
Yes install applications from cabs...Threaded mms can be a bit more tricky...there is a dedicated thread on that topic. I would suggest go thru the titan wiki and you will alot more educated on your device. Will only help.

You have been very helpful. I have read about my device for a while now and love it since the new(er) ROMs. Again, thank you! I will search for the MMS posts now ... later.
Glad you got your bluetooth working. All 3.1.x dcd custom roms require the carrier cab install for future reference.
To seamlessly install MMS on Verizon see this post.

From what I understand, you already have completed steps 1 and 2. So all you need to do is install the arcsoft cab from that post, soft reset, and you should be good to go.

Hi,
I have found a rom I really like but it comes with cookie home tab. I was wondering is there a way to remove it from a cooked rom once I installed the rom on my phone?
afaik that isnt possible.
but its possible that you change it to standard sense via cht-editor.
you have to set 3x3 quicklinks, only one page, original animation, etc.
