Sorry guys i dont know if this is a repost...
i am have an issue with my spring htc 6800.
i did the upgrade last night and everything went threw all right.
the only thing is that when the sprint theme files was about to launch after the first start i hit the soft rest key and did a soft rest so the junk sprint loads in the phone wont be loaded. Now my problem is that my internet connect but no matter what site i put into it the only error i get is Page can not be located.
i want to know if the rom upgrade effect that problem or weather it was
the soft reset i performed right after the first start up...
Any help would greatly be appricated....
are you on sprint or verizon?
i had same issue and i have solution if you are on verizon
i am on sprtin network...
but whats the solution maybe it will work on sprint too...

I have DCD ROM, 3.35 Radio...Phone works...just wont let me connect to the Interner...I get error 11PP Connections. Spent an hour on the phone with Vz

hye guys...
btw way thanx for all of yous who gave the responses to my question and speacilly the post to the verizon situation.....because that helped me to narrow down the sitatuation....due to the fact that i had done a soft reset right before the sprint customization started...it did not configure my internet settings....all i had to do was unlock my extended rom and go in and get the ITOA.exe and run the file which then configure my provisioning settings after which i performed another soft reset and now my internet is working fine....so once again thanks guys to all those that posted....i hope my stupid mistake will be helpful to others out there that dont want any of the junk sprint loads on urs phone...

I have sx56. I ran special edition romv1.2. It unlocked my phone. It was AT&T> I migrated to Cingular. The phone works fine. Cant get on internet. I have read everything here and tried every setting for cingular and t mobile. It will work on t mobile for 1 or 2 minutes connecting to a website and I got some sms messages. But then it wont work again. I think it loses its settings. Is it because of that Auto configuration thing? I am still Pocket PC 2002. If I upgrade to wm2003 will the internet settings work then? I have spoken to every dumb support person at cingular they tried every setting they could think of but it wouldnt connect. I get the 2 arrows going in opposite directions and the world thing spins for a while then goes back to phone icon with no message. t mobile actually had me working but then it keeps losing it. I know there are lots of people still using the sx56 and got it working but I have tried everything and it is making me crazy but I dont want to give up and buy a new phone I really love this phone PLEASE can anyone tell me what is wrong? Thanks so much
Don't know if you ever got the help you were looking for however, Siemens released a while back WM2003 w/ATT (to which it was later pulled, maybe because of licensing). I've got that file, but I've found it on the net as well at the following link:

Ever since the VZW Update released my GPS no longer works, (didn't Update my phone)
I used to get locks right away (8-10 satellites) when I was outside now I get ZERO.
I use GPS today and Google maps.
anyone have any explanation why it would suddendly stop working?
Running DCD 3.2.5 and 3.42.50
sorry man I have no idea. my device still gets locks but I always have to toggle location on settings. (go in and turn it to 911 only say ok till I am back to the main screen then go abck and turn it on and say ok till I am back at the main screen again) then soft reset. it takes me a while now to gets locks but I do get them (no2chem5066 with radio 3.42.50)

have you updated your phone via *228? llboredll spoke about how me might of found some issues when programing his phone after verizon released the software update.
I had some serous issues trying to get a fix yesterday but just now I walked out my basement and got 7 sats and lock within 15 secs or better. So I will have to chalk it up to some weird anomaly yesterday.
guys thanks for the quick response, ya il try resting my "location" setting and yes i did do a *228' 2 ealyer today trying to fix the issue, it didn't change my PRI.

Try a GPS program that displays the NMEA messages like GeoScout. If you don't see any then your GPS is not turning on. So either flash the ROMs again or you have a back GPS possible.
I wish you guys would read the damn forums.
The OFFICIAL VZW update kills GPS for anything but VZW Navigator, got it?

Read the first post, he didn't (repeat) didn't update his phone. His theory is that Verizon did something to the network to work only with the update such that us on Custom ROMs it will not work. Obviously that is not the case but that is what he was asking or theorizing about.
I think we all have read the forums on it and are tired of people updating their phones and then complaining on this forum that it screwed up their phone. I can only say "Do your homework before flashing anything" otherwise don't whine about what you have now.

Fixed it, uninstalled GPS Today
Installed GPS Toggle, and got locks 30 secs after i turned it on, thanks for leading me in the right direction!
I even get locks in my Room witch did not happen before. so defiantly awesome!
Okay so this is my first post and I really hope someone can help me with my phone issues. I got my HTC HD2 this past July and it was great at first but now it drops calls like crazy. I cant make any or have any incoming calls without it dropping in the first 3 seconds not to mention I can't send sms or mms and sometimes I get a popup that says that the phone isnt connected to the modem. I have no idea what this means and I feel like just throwing it into a freaking wall! Ive changed the sim card and even called customer service and they said "I probably got stuck on a rolling bad network" whatever that means so if anyone can help me with this problem I would really really really appreciate it.
Have you tired a hard reset as a last resort? Maybe someone here may have a solution to your problem without needing a hard reset but if a hardreset does not sort things out, you should send it back in for warranty service since it's still under warranty! It sounds like a hardware problem to me though with the radio/antenna module.
If a hard reset doesn't fix it....
Try updating the rom (including the radio)....
If you don't want to wipe everything....
if you have HSPL, try flashing a new radio to it.
If you have a TMOUS branded HD2, you need to use a x.xx.50.xx radio.
Also, the radio you flash must be 2.07 or greater....
if you have hspl...you probably know that already..

I don't know if this is allowed.
I collected a cingular 8125 from a friend in the UK.
I noticed on starting up that there was Tmobile screen first before the windows mobile screen starts. I had no problem with the fone until i realised that i couldnt connect to my local networks GPRS service (who uses a phone that can't browse)
After scanning thru the site, i decided to flash the phone with Crasing's WM6.5 ROM after doing a HardSPL and i could browse and it was the perfect phone apart from the fact that it was real slow and hangs attimes.
It got worse so i got fed up and decided to revert it back to the original ROM and sort the browsing stuff with a network fix that someone on this site had told me.
I reverted the hardSPL and on installing the Tmobile ROM, it brought out an error message, tried with the Cingular ROM same thing.
So i tired reflashing by using a software called Flash Center and it started and stopped at the 1%.
Restarting my phone just shows me the bootloader screen and i have been battling it constantly for 3 weeks but to no avail
I have read almost all forums here, done almost all they ask to do, but nothing.
The only ROM that worked on it is the WIZARD love ROM but it using exactly 21mins to start up. Thot of downloading Faria/Molski WM5 ROM (cos i sorta prefer going back to WM5) but the links for their downloads are dead.
Please help/direct me to where i can see help cos i really need the phone like 2 weeks ago. I am most definitely depressed now.

maybe you could try with WM5 AKU 3.3 Rom for G3 & G4 Wizards (includes Crossbow stuff and many enhancements) and you can get at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=290155

I have tried that ROM but the RUU couldn't detect the my phone in bootloader mode.
So i used another RUU which detected the phone but when it got to 96% it failed and Whoosh.... back to square one.
Any other ideas..

i was running CM 7.1 with the glitch kernel but decided i wanted to try out a few other roms from the community
i ODINd back to stock following the tutorials and i flashed PWGB, however now my data connection does not work no matter what rom i run, including stock
wifi works, calls and texts work, but i can not get a data connection over 3g
i tried *228 option 1 and 2, and i even spoke with a verizon rep
im completely stumped right now
right now im running CM7.1 with the stock kernel and modem, sometimes the 3G icon pops up, but most of the time it does not
when trying to bring up a website, like XDA a popup message tells me that i have no internet connection
i appreciate all the help, as i am completely stumped at what to do at this point
Hopefully you have another smart phone like this chap did. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330279 If not call vzw and beg them to reset your data keys.
