hi everyone, can someone please tell me what i did wrong.
I have flashed a few roms before and this time every time i start the 8125 it gets stuck cingular raising the bar screen.
The phone will still do hard reset.
Ipl 2.25.0001
Spl 2.2.5.001
Gsm 02.25.11
OS 11.0.1.1
I tried to do upgrade it to the the TNT 19199 professional wizard v.2. I used the shell tool and dropped the nk.nbf file into the shell folder like i have always done before and this time its stuck at the same screen. I can't connect it to active sync or even the computer to put back the stock cingular rom back in. Can someone please tell me what im doing wrong, from what i understand the phone is not bricked yet because i can still do a hard reset but still sends me back to the main startup screen. Help please.
Stock ROM can be flashed from Bootloader mode, just put your Wizard into bootloader mode (Camera+reset), then run the stock ROM RUU.

New to this...Could someone Please give me a walkthrough on how to do this.I can still hard reset.I reset using camera + reset...Brings up r/b/g screen.I don't know how to flash from there.Any help is greatly appreciated.

I took it back to WM5.Seems to be OK.Gonna try using Wizard Service Tool instead of ShellTool.See what happens
You should HardSPL, then use RUU on ROMs without IPL directly.

My first attempt to upgrade to AP4 did not succeed unfortunately (SPL to 3.50 upgrade went OK though), my power light stayed green and the display wouldn't come on.
So I took the Athena into bootloader and re-flashed back to AP3.
All seemed fine, the "Tap the screen to set up your device" screen appeared, I set it up and let the customization program run.
Unfortunately after the automatic reset at the end of the customization program, the device returned to the "Tap the screen to set up your device" and the customization program started again...
I tried interrupting the customization by soft resetting before it started executing itself, soft resetted during customization, let customization finish again (and again), but the device seems to be in an endless loop....
Any suggestions/help?

this happen because the spl and the kernel, AKA nk.exe, do not match. not sure what to do except try the new ap3 the cmonex posted **not sure if you tried that**

just flash it with normal RUU
I have this problem of the "looping" with the customizations. My problem is that I can't get the device to a state where it is "talking" to activesync and from what I see, I need that to push this ap3spl new file.
When you say "just flash it with normal RUU" can you tell me what that means please? (sorry, noob here...) I've spent hours on the forums, wiki etc and I'm a bit lost.
I'm "trying" to get AP4 w/WM6.1 onto the device.
Purchased unlocked (new) and used on AT&T for 6 months.
Went to update the radio to 1.57 and used the unlocker first. (took out SIM/SD first of course).
Got past step one and then got a black screen on reboot...
I got AP3 to load but now I get this fun looping.. Setup device, load customizations, reboot, and start over.
Sounds like this file in this thread is my fix to at least get AP3 working but not sure how to apply. Can I do it from the bootloader?

Well, I guess I'm "Almost" back up and running.
Since step three never got kicked off, it looks like my GPS rom/radio never was rewritten back to the device.
Any help on how to get just the GPS portion back?

I have a similar problem. My Dopod U1000 was running WM6 and I upgraded to
radio version 1.58.00 no problem. After flashing AP4 I am in a cycle where my initial boot screen has black and white lines at the top and black at the bottom
Then get the Windows Mobile 6.1 screen and after automatic customizing the
PDA resets itself. I have tried to flash the AP3newspl file but it cant communicate successfully with the synced PDA. Any help?

get into bootloader by pressing camera+reset and check your spl

My IPL v1.00 and SPL v1.20. Olipro and Radio 1.58
I have transferred enblerapi.cab to PDA and run it each time but when I flash
AP4 ROM or AP3newspl ROM I get an endless loop and my SPL stays v1.20
I cant seem to get a flash of SPL3.5 which I suspect is the problem.
Am I missing something?

It really isn't hard to do. But be sure you know what you are doing btw. SO read the sticky!
Basically you just download the flavor of Hard SPL you want (I used 2.10 which I can recommend, very easy to downgrade to factory SPL again as I just learned!).
After download unzip the folder and run the RUUWrapper. Follow instructions exactly, do nout unplug your device etc. and it should work like a charm. It takes about 1 minute!
If you don't know what you are doing or you are still doubting, wait for Mr Vanx site to come online again or don't flash. There is always a risk you screw up and end with a $500 brick.
So use at your own risk!

hi guys have tried to update mine today on a jasjam it connects sys it updating but starts at 0% then just jumps to 100% and says flash finished but when i restart the phone it still has the same loader what am i doing wrong i want to update it from windows 5 to windows 6 using crc-9 but don't want to update till i do the loader any help from you guys would be great

start the device in bootloader, what is displayed?
Mine is doing the exact same thing. Starts at 0% and jumps to 100% and says it is done, but it has done nothing.

the SPL flash is VERY quick.
I'll ask YOU this aswell, put your device into bootloader mode and tell us what it says.

thanks for your reply after checking the bootloader it has changed to 2.10 olie it did it so fast i thought it had failed will check properly next time and have successfully flashed it to crc 9 and it runs great thanks for all the help

I appreciate your reply Mr. Vanx. Same as with puca, I put my phone into the bootloader mode and it does indeed show the correct 2.10 Olipro version. This is the 3rd 8525 I have had and I could have SWORN it took much longer on the first 2. Even the update from WM5 to WM6 seemed to take much less time with this particular phone. Guess I shouldn't really complain
Downgrade Error 260
Hi Mr Vanx I have followed your guide to downgrade my current SSPL (2.10 Olipro) to SSPL (1.11). But I keep getting error 260. I have followed guide step by step.
I have even tried flashing from SD-Card (by renaming to HERMING.nbh). Process runs successfully, but nothing happens.
Its still showing SSPL-2.10 Olipro in bootloader. Am I missing anything?

can some one point me to the guide. I am facing a NO GSM problem on vodafone VPA 1605 with following config:
ROM Version: 1.20.161.6
Radio: 1.03.06.00
CID: VODAP001
Bootloader: 1.04
I do not see the radio version or the IMEI. So I would like to do a HARDSPLv7 followed by Radio ROM update to 1.06.00.10. I hope this will work. Seniors may help with their sggestion.

I installed a program for sound, When I do a soft reset it hangs on Blue Imate page and didn't boot.
I tried to hard reset but it dosen't worked too(I know hard reset of it, is Green+FN+Power button) but it don't work, Also I tried to install a fresh Rom but it need to loud windows.
Please help how to hard reset it.

After Flashed with the new ROM, My Device is now stuck in iMate Blue Screen Logo....!!!
But Don't worry Guys...it can be solved with manually hard Reset...
1. Remove battery and reinsert (to make sure the phone is off).
2. Hold down Fn and the Green button (with the phone icon on it) and press the power button.
3. You will see the white hard reset option screen almost immediately. Press the Left Soft Key to hard reset.

Hi guys I need some help. I have a Cingular HTC 8125, I was trying to upgrade the rom on it to a new WM6 and here is what happened.
I have been researching the topic for about 3 weeks.
Its a G4 Device being upgraded with VISTA w/ Moded drivers for Ative SYNC

I used the shell tool to install one of the roms waited about 2 hrs and finally noticed that the window was NOT RESPONDING so I had to shut down and start over. The phone got to the second screen but froze there now showing

On the Cingualr Background, I can still enter the Bootloader screen but nothing else?
Nothing else happens I cant connect the phone to the PC to do anything else.

I tried OEM Cingular rom but I get ERROR 260 No connection to the phone?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You should had firstly either hardspl or soft spl the phone b4 trying to load any rom
It's not bricked as long as you can see the RGB screen (Colors red, green and blue)showing the same IPL/SPL such as yours; IPL: 2.25.0001 and SPL: 2.25.0001. AND PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR DEVICE CAUSE ITS G4 MEANING YOU CAN NOT JUST INTALL/FLASH ROM. Make sure that the Rom you flash not contain G3 IPL and SPL which is 2.xx.001. If so, then you will bricked your device.
Desiji is right, you should install rom with softSPL or hardSPL.
Try to flash the Official Cingular Rom or Wizard Love Rom. If success, then you can install other Rom using what desiji said. Just make sure that its a G4 safe rom. And another thing, try to charge battery using wallcharger not in the device. U need enough battery to perform rom flashing.
Hope this help revive your Wizard.

Hey guys thanks, thats what I thought but I think my main problem is the VISTA I need to get a hold of XP and try all that because the Vista is having issues with connecting to the phone at the moment, I can not get it to show it as a device. It does make a beep noise when you connect/disconnect it so its doing something but Vista is just too much of a pain in the rear to deal with.
Its a good news that its not bicked so all hope is not lost.
What is the opinion on Tmobile WING!? any reviews should I get that phone instead?
BTW where do I find these G4 Safe ROMS? and how do I tell if they have the IPL/SPL in them? Do I need to hack them to tell?
And is Soft or Hard recommended?
YUP ! sure vista is still not compatible for flashing,WinXP is highly recommended and trouble free.
All official stock roms are safe to flash both the devices G3 or G4,secondly,all the latest custom build wm6 or wm6.1 are safe for both the devices,as they don't include any IPL/SPL in them.
If you plan to flash many roms,than 'HardSPL' is recommended,coz its done only once and the device remains semi_Cid unlock untill you personally remove HardSPL,but with SoftSPL,its done everytime you want to flash a new rom,choice is all yours,how you want to go about it.

I have a verizon xv6800 fresh out of the box. I tried to flash the 2.40 bootloader and it did not go right. I am now stuck on the multi-color bootloader screen and I have tried pulling the battery and the soft and hard resets. I think Windows 6.1 is gone and I can't get any of the solutions to work! Am I bricked? Please help!

search for olipro's exit bootloader program and run that, should be right after that i think.
actually being stuck at the bootloader screen isnt a major.. flash to a radio rom that is 3.35.04 or higher and then load a custom OS rom such as dcd's
also refer to the titan wiki for information.

what ROM are you trying to start? I was stuck on HTC logo too, when I tried to start a ROM without installing Striped ROM first, which was highly needed. So I done hard reset(three color screen), and flashed again.
For starters, put in bootloader, connect to PC (1st untick "Allow USB Connections" in activesync) and run Hard SPL V7. Install it on your Herms and hope it works because otherwise you are in for a whole heap of hairpulling frustration...
If you get Hard SPL onto your Hermes then use the sd card method to flash a new rom...
You could have avoided this by doing a little research instead of going full pelt into flashing, you Hard SPL BEFORE you get into trouble, NOT AFTER....

I have a similar problem with a T-Mobile branded TyTn from a friend of mine who thought flashing ROMs without putting device into HardSPL would be clever.
The devices has also IPL-1.04 and SPL-2.03 and from the bootscreen it looks like WM5 should have been installed. I also get the "NO GSM" message and I REALLY tried every fking method but without success.
I even created a Goldcard (and verified on another device it's working, level 0 instead FF) and tried to flash several ROMs (also Cingular WM5 ROM and original german T-Mobile ROM) but no luck.
I also tried to run HardSPL V7 but as far as I remember it just said it cannot connect.
Funny thing: HardSPL V9 DOES start flashing and on the PDA and the PC the bar shows 100% but some moments later it says "Could not update" (or something like that).
I even tried different mtty methods from several posts from the forum (erasing the NAND on different ways, qtek loader method with erasing the first blocks) but I'm really really frustrated now and I believe there is no solution here?! (device has no guarentee)
So, if someone has ANY hint or useful information write it down or send me a PM.
I gladly appreciate your help and hope for a solution!
