I installed dcd roms and had radio issues, but I loved windows 6.1. Is it possible to get windows 6.1 on the old 2.17 rom??
It's possible, but someone would need to build it. DCD's and no2chem's work is WM 6.1 with a 3.x base. Someone would need to make a 6.1 build with a 2.17 base.
im not updating anything that was based on 2.17 until i fix bugs on the wm6.1 i have out now. but, someone who knows how could convert a wm6.1/3.16 base to 2.17 using the attached XIP.
Your right DCD, and thanks for responding. I am having issues with my mail2web account on the new radio, if someone could take the info DCD provided and apply it for us who need to use 2.17 would be very appriciated
Now, I am learn how to cook ROM.
This may take a long time, so if someone else finish before me then plz share.
Thanks,
Hiromitsu
edit: anybody know the address of OS.nb for titan?
Also, i am completely directionless... I have no idea what to do or where to go or anything. cook rom is very.... lack of documentation like other thing. So this will take a long time try to figure it out on my own

2.17 refers to build of original sprint ROM version you see on boot up the mogul. It's latest "official" ROM build by WinMo 6.0; therefore, you use that as base. Maybe use dcd kitchen.

I would like to first explain that I have tried to search the forums but was unable to find anyone that has had my problem. I have a friend that was successfully able to flash his phone with an alltel stock rom (3.35.671.9). I tried the same procedure and it stuck at 12% for more than an hour. The only thing he did was run the exe file downloaded from the HTC site and made sure there was an activesync connection. My friend bought his phone through alltel and I bought my phone off of ebay and activated to work with alltel. When I turn my phone on it shows the alltel logo.
My Phone
gray case
no logo on phone
rom: 2.14.671.3
radio: 1.40.00
carrier: alltel
Friends Phone (before new rom)
black case
alltel logo on phone
rom: 2.14.671.3
radio: 1.40.00
carrier: alltel
Please advise on what I can do to upgrade to this newer version. At this time I'm not interested in a custom rom. I appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

even though you're not interested in a custom rom at the moment, it may be helpful to flash to a custom rom 1st, and then see if you are able to flash to the stock rom you want to use. the relaxed security on the custom rom may be what your phone needs to get past the 12% mark. just an idea.
Go with DCD 3.0.1 with wm6.1 Better than any stock crapROM. While your at it Donate to DCD
dcd 3.0.1? go with dcd 3.0.4...

I just suggested 3.0.1 because he sounds new to flashing and 3.0.1 has an alltel build aready out....The kitchen can be a little confusing first time around. Other than that 3.0.4 is the way to go...Either way he probly will have to using lennys cab to get mms working again
I've searched and searched for a good rom and I've tryed flashing dcd 3.2.2 and Radio 3.42.30 and the verizon cab it worked but i had no data network so I flashed back to stock. I need a stable wm6.1 rev a gps rom and radio for a xv6800 can anyone help

Seriously threads like this need to stop. They clutter these boards and push important stuff to the bottom. I know you really just want help to get your phone working, and I would definitely be willing to help you out, but there are much better ways to go about it than starting a new thread.
For instance, you could post in an established thread that you're having problems with data, or you could PM one of the people who know what they're doing.

took me less than 1 minute to find this:

I am very new to mobile OS. I'm pretty sure that it doesn't matter what the factory ROM version is on my phone when determining if my device is eligible for a flash to Scott's Titan M2D ROM Round 4 Reloaded Version 1.0, but I wanted to check. I have tried searching, no luck. I understand how to do it, just struggling on this question. I'll keep searching and will post [SOLVED] if any luck. Thanks
Sprint Titan evdo rev-a with GPS
Factory
ROM: 3.56.651.0
Radio: 3.42.02
You need flash Hard-SPL 2.40 or 2.47, Radio 3.35, But latest is recomended (3.42.50), and then you can flash to Scott's Titan M2D ROM Round 4 Reloaded Version 1.0 or what ever you want. After flash don't forget install carrier cab.

Yup, he is correct.
Actually the Radio you have is fine. You could just use that. 3.42.50 is nice but it does "seem" to eat battery power.
I know i am sure I am going to get flamed for this.
But i have searched and searched and can not find a solution.
I have the following currently installed
Rom Version dcd 2 Beta WM6 (Tried others but various things wont work)
Radio Version 3.27.00
SPL 2.40.Olipro
I would like to downgrade to Stock NewZealand Telecom WM5 or any WM5
if that whats needed.
I have a custom application for work that will not run on WM6
Would be nice to keep the GPS function if possible.
So can please somebody post the proccess i need to follow to achieve this.
Many thanks
John
Solved
Hi All
I have managed to downgrade my Titan.
Make sure you have SPL-2.40.Olipro as your bootloader
Then using SD card method flash this DCD ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/ImCoKeMaN/roms/TNZ_StockWM5_RUU_signed.nbh
This will give you a device that gets stuck after the 2nd spladsh screen.
Then flash this Radio ftp://xda:[email protected]/Titan/Radio_Roms/titan_2.13_CDMA.rar
Reboot
All sorted
John
Does this procedure also downgrades the radio rom?
When you did the downgrade, were you coming from a radio 3.x, with gps enabled?
On this link, http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9229 , ImCoKeMaN warns about bricking the phone if one were to do that.
Yes it does
2nd part is radio flash
I saw the other post but was desperate and all worked fine
Jman
You really should try a 6.1 rom. 6.0 roms like the dcd you used are really really old. Try something like dcd 3.3.4
