hello,all the masters of this site and pda phones....i have a spv m3000 from orange G4 locked and tried to flash t-mobile radio prodigy with softSPL...it went on first screen with the beer image and got stuck on it...after i removed my battery it wouldn't start,enter bootloader,soft,hard reset it wont even charge(red led not blinking) my computer doesn't recognize it.i tried giving the batey a 9v,6v shock and nothing happened phone is still dead...i'm not a good electronist so i can't use the method to rewrite the inernal memory soldering wires...etc....could you give me a solution???i'm desperate(

Well, there's no such rom 't-mobile radio prodigy',you are mixing things here.Its either Radio Rom or OS(Rom). Assuming by your post 'the beer image' as you say,it must be the "Button's Rom 1.05" with IPL/SPL 1.05 (G3 Bootloaders). Did you flash the Button's Rom 1.05 on your G4 device,well,if so then,its a "BRICK",coz flashing a G3 Rom with IPL/SPL in it'll certainly brick a G4 phone,Now nothing can be done with it.
well i've heard something of leaving it 24 hours without the battery and shoking the battery but no luck so far...isn't there any program that would recognize this brick as a flash memory so i could just put the bootloader back?and yes i have put a g3 rom on my g4....and it makes me feel like an idiot...can't i just jump start the thing into the bootloader?(T-Mobile_UK_2.19.11_Radinly - this is what i flashed)

Are you sure it was T-Mobile_UK_2.19.11_Radio only which you flashed and not the Button's Rom 1.05 ? coz flashing any Radio rom will not Brick any phone,regardless it being a G3 or G4,coz it doesn't include any IPL/SPL (Bootloaders) in it,its safe to flash to any G3 or G4 phone.
But what about you said it boots up to splash screen with a 'Beer Mug' on it,coz only Button's Rom splash screen displays a Beer Mug on it.
i'm certain this is what i flashed...and it was a beer mug(at least half of it) now it doesn't do anything...after i removed the battery it died

Strange !!!
A Radio Rom never flashes any splash screen and it never displays any splash screen,especially a Beer Mug splash screen,you must have been mistaken and downloaded and flashed the Button's Rom 1,05,which has G3 IPL/SPL in it,and now its Bricked,nothing can be done with it to revive,except replacement of the 'DOC Chip' (M-System Flash Chip),which I'm afraid is not possible by anybody other then the manufacturer/vendor of the device.
just found out that in the directory named T-Mobile_UK_2.19.11_Radinly was CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE....did i brick it?...and how much would it cost to change that chip?...any place i could order another motherboard? maybe it's another way to do it...maybe someone does know how to use JTAG...give me some advice please...

YUP !!! there it is,I was correct, its Button's Rom 1.05.
Well,yes ! its "BRICKED"
Only,manufacturer/vendor can provide you the motherboard or tell you the exact cost of it,or you can try the Ebay if they have it or can provide it.
Secondly,its still not known or if anyone can revive it through 'JTAG' ,guys here have been working on it,but were not successful and stopped trying it,you can have further info on it by checking out this link or 'Search' through google.

well....to all the readers of this post...i didn't manage to revive it through any method and decided to send it to the provider repair center...i have sent a message to caesar54 who managed to revive his wizard using jtag and waiting for a reply....IMPORTANT : DO NOT FLASH YOUR G4 DEVICE WITH A G3 ROM IT WILL BRICK YOUR PDA (I JUST FOUD OUT THE HARD WAY) SO REMEMBER..IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING....DONT DO IT...i will post updates on what i have done with mine if someone intersted...

thank you very much zabardast....i went to the orange shop where i was instructed by someone "high ranked" and someone over there told me that they have a tool that writes software even when the phone is dead...probably through a service cable or something...they said it would be back in 2 weeks maximum...and i will be informed of the price of the repair wich i will post (including my decision) anyway agan "DO NOT FLASH IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING"...hope it will get it back after 1 week functionally and cheap...i will search other forums and find posible solutions that i will post...till' then...good luck and work safe
until my phone comes back repaired or not i'm searching for an alternative...does anyone have a wizarrd to sell?preferably a broken one...broken display or something...but with the mainboard intact?

To the best of my knowledge nobody has revived their wizard using JTAG contacts. It might be a myth, or just unproven yet.

ok i made it happen n have done that successfully
i made a mistake of doing hard spl thing before downgrading to t mobile custom rom, first it was stuck on splash screen n than was totally dead after resetting
i searched n found the procedure of jtag it n bring back to life, im very happy i did it with slight modifications according to my logic n made it till bootloader, much thanks to all who left so many ideas and materials at different places. ok now my problem is that it does the whole flashing but after that it gets back to boot loader with the same incorrect ipl spl
i guess ill be needing a monster pack with ipl spl included i tried ruu mun otherwise the nb sawith the custom gave invalid tool msg. any ideas guys?

Guys, I'm frustrated now. I've refreshed the ROM of my G4 version of Dopod 818pro (2.15.0001 or something I just can't remember). Unfortunately it fails and I cannot even turn the power on. My WinCE colleague told me that the Boot Loader was damaged. I am now seeking for some place to re-program the chip and hope if someone can provide me boot loader program. Are your Bootloader Realy damage? You mean you cant enter it? Or you havent Power to start your Device?
SD Flashing doesnt work without Bootloader!!
JTAG Flashing (hardware nearest Flashing!!) isnt developed for G4 Plattform. (i think so ... look in the Wizard board ... they talk about JTAG flashing and Wizard G4 must simulare like Prophet G4!!)
the bootloader really damaged, I cannot enter the three stripe screen by holding CAM, PWR button and hit reset hole. Do you mean that I even cannot use JTag to burn the chip???
I do have two fully charged batteries. But it should not be a problem of battery, I tried to connect it to charger but it gives no response, no LED
Using JTAG to revive a wizard is either a myth, or an undiscovered secret. If you cant get into bootloader, your chances of reviving your device are slim.
JTAG isnt a secret ... its more like ... hardware knowlage. If you know what IC is your ROM. You can found over the IC Spec the right Pins for JTAG Programming. If i can get a G4 S200, i can try my best.

guys, I finally found a place to revive my prophet. However, they don't know how to jtag it either, neither do they have a programer to rewrite the chip because they say the programer is very very very expensive. They just changed the old chip with one which has correct ROM and now my G4 Prophet turns to a G3 one...anyway, I can use it now.

er... One more question, I want to dump the current ROM to my SD card, however the wiki doc says it needs to unlock G3 first. But another doc also says unlocking G3 will downgrade my OS to 1.0.13.21. It's like a kind of deadlock, can I just unlock G3 without changing OS?
uhm ... i think you must downgrade your OS first to CID unlock ... after that you can upgrade to your rom and make SD-Dump!

I'll wait for some weeks and will try to "torture" my prophet again. It was just fixed and I'm supposed to "rest" it for some days, but sooner or later it'll be unlocked, hey heyhey....

you dont. you take a bricked one, de-solder it, and manually trace them to somewhere on the motherboard using a multimeter.

Give me a damage Wizard board and i say the JTAG Pins! G4 and G3 have the same JTAG Pins.
I search for a damage Prophet to but i doesnt want pay over 80€ for a community project without any payment. It some on give me a wizard or prophet Board ... i desolder the IC ... search for JTAG Pins ... and reflash it ... send it back but working :->
the device doesnt damage if i resolder the DOC ... i have the right soldering mashine.

Where you saw on DOC points jtag ?
You need the signals TDO TCK TMS TRST TDI.
DOC only memory and there no these signal.
What jtag you will use? And no program for flash DOC through jtag - see about Universal jtag.
hi does anyone no of any jtag specialists in the united kingdom that can bring my wallaby back to life? i tried to flash a working wallaby pda and somehow the bootloader is gone and stuck on a bootscreen ,,if anyone can atleast point me in the right direction to get jtag done on this old device i would appreciate it .

i have flashed the wrong spl SPL 1.01.0109 on my fone. that spl was of htc typhoon.
now my phone is not booting up.
when i press the power button the fone gives the white disply and nothing else happens.
i cannot even get into bootloader.
the charging function works when the fone is turned off.
when i turn on the fone it dos nothing not even chaging.
is there any way to get my old fone back...
help plz

I'm very sorry, but flashing always means jeopardizing the phone, especially if you're making mistakes. This is almost like surgery.
In the olden times, prior to the smart devices, there were some back doors, test points [*] and things like that. But I have never heard of those in the HTC context.
My proposal: Put the bricks on eBay and don't shed tears.

sorry to say its your mistake , you select the wrong Rom .
The 1.17.720 - ROM , its for p3400 not for p3400i
i dont have any solution for you,

i've heared that sony people are doing servicing of htc and they are authorized service centers.
you can surely try to catch them and tell them you messed up with the phone and need recovery and i think they will be able to solve your issue with some money they charge.

try pressing power key and camera button and press soft reset using stylus when you get into the boot loader try to flash with the stock ROM. Make sure that your SPL is changed to normal from orefklovs ... if the SPL is changed they will tell you that the warranty is void now. i got my board replaced after i flash with the stock ROM. which state are you living in? I think somebody has introduced an unbricker try that also..... my advice is dont do anything in excitement..... please study and research everything after that apply it in the phone....... gudluck.....

try again and again (press camera and power button together and soft reset with stylus) until you get into into the botloader screen... at once flash with original stock rom and make sure olipros SPL is changed to normal SPL.....it worked in my set... i dont know any details...
