HTC P3450 How to change language

This is the section for your phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=373
As for the language though, it should be the same. Start->Settings->System tab->Regional Settings, then there is a drop down to change it.
Edit: I take that back. I have never tried to change the language, but that just changes the formatting of dates, times, currency, etc. Actually, after looking again, it doesn't look like you can change the language.

Good ROM - bad keyboard

I just flashed the wonderful "TPC Elite v3.1 Full with manila". But I have one big problem. The physical keyboard does not work as it should. I am swedish and thus have a swedish keyboard. And now I cannot write numbers nor the last characters in our alfabeth å, ä, ö. What can I do to solve this? Do I need to install a swedish ROM in order to get the physical keyboard to work? In that case, what is the best and newest swedish ROM? I would really like to keep this ROM, but it is hard when I cannot even write numbers. Thanks in advance for your help!

Br,

Its because most rom not only the language is to be set, also it is set to qwerty instead to qwertz (Fuze Keyboard Layout)
Try this CAB it works for my german rom, it lets the FN Button to work correct.
Thank you very much for your advice and links! I have tried several methods this afternoon but with no success. The numbers I now can write, but the letters are still not mapped correctly. I will try again later, but it is a pity that it cannot be done easier.
Please don't start new thread in the ROM development issues when there is already a thread to post in.

i need help !!!

i just flashed the new rom miui 1.11.4 and its not support arabic , i flashed the attached RTL file through recovery after mounting system as said in the instructions but didnt get arabic keyboard , what to do ?!!!
Brilliant thread title.
Try MIUI For Galaxy S II Q&A or [MOD][MIUI] Arabic/Hebrew/Farsi + RTL reading/writing for SGS2.
thx brather , but the first thread contain multilang. package (but arabic not included) , second thread i already tried before but no use just i get my arabic letters joined in contacts list but still not have arabic keyboard
I think you missed the point of my links, the first one being the place for questions and answers relating to MIUI. Anyway, do you actually have an arabic keyboard installed?
i know that the first link about question and answers related miui rom and there was one question about installing multilang package but this package not including arabic , anyway , about yr question , no i havnt arabic keyboard installed , what to do

You're still missing this? Just because your question isn't answered in there, doesn't mean you shouldn't ask there, rather than making a new thread.
Anyway, if you don't have an arabic keyboard installed, how are you expecthing it to work? Install a keyboard from the market which supports arabic.
A search of "arabic keyboard" on the Android Market.
first , thx for yr help
second , making new thread better coz its attract more attention
third , about external keyboard , i lnow i can install arabic one , but that wasnt my question , am searching for miui keyboard which can reach it through ( system /language &input setting /android keyboard settings/input languages)

I think you're not understanding. The native MIUI keyboard clearly doesn't support arabic. You need to install a 3rd party keyboard, which you enable through changing your input method in settings -> language and keyboard.

[Q] Symbol key on x10 mini pro

Hi everyone,
Does anyone knows how to put the symbol key (on the bottom right) to work on custom roms like it works on stock?
I use a lot of letters like "á, é, ã".
So on the original ROM I needed to press the Sym key + the "A" key to get the "Á".
On Custom Roms (MiniCM7 in this case) The Sym key works just like the blue key.
Is there any workaround or app to fix this?
Best Regards.
EDIT: I should created this thread on Q&A Subforum. Sorry :S
Does anyone know how to do this?
It works for me, using sony ericsson's default input method. If you don't mind the bar at the bottom of the screen you can try to flash it.
I don't remember where I found the flashable zip I attached to give credit.
Kanellos, u saved my life!
It works like a charm, just need to install and go to settings > Language & Input > and deactivate the Android keyboard.
Also, it works on Android 4.0
Thank you for providing me this and thanks to Paul-XXX for makin this hotfix
Please post Questions in Q&A from now on.

[solved] adding hebrew to samsung keyboard

hello,
i wonder if anyone can help me,i have searched and read allot of posts but found no answer
i tried to add Hebrew to my samsung keyboard by doing this:
i copied the "T9DB" folder (from Orange (Partner) [16052012] I9100JHLP9 (4.0.3))
and deodexed AxT9IME.apk (also from Orange (Partner) [16052012] I9100JHLP9 (4.0.3))
but had only English,French and Arabic?
i'm not interested in swipe or software alternatives
i want to understand what i need to do* in order to add the hebrew language
any help would be appreciated
edit:
Code:
<SamsungKeypad>
<inputmethod_type>QwertyKeypad</inputmethod_type>
<inputlist>en(UK);en(US);iw;ar;ru;ko;</inputlist>
<xt9_enabled>off</xt9_enabled>
<word_completion>on</word_completion>
<word_completion_point>2</word_completion_point>
<spell_correction>on</spell_correction>
<next_word_prediction>on</next_word_prediction>
<auto_append>off</auto_append>
<auto_subtitution>off</auto_subtitution>
<regional_correction>off</regional_correction>
<recapture>off</recapture>
<keypad_sweeping>on</keypad_sweeping>
<Auto_capitalization>on</Auto_capitalization>
<recognition_time>500</recognition_time>
<Auto_period>off</Auto_period>
<voice_input_enabled>on</voice_input_enabled>
<lang_en_gb>off</lang_en_gb>
<lang_en_us>on</lang_en_us>
<Hebrew>on</Hebrew>
</SamsungKeypad>
adding this to system/csc/others.xml
solved half of the problem, i see hebrew instead of french and i can write in hebrew aswell
now i get a message in sms:
attention: Message may be corrupted on recipient device. change input method to automatic?
and it does get corrupted.
search function is currently down in the forum, will check later
2nd edit:
in sms screen, tap on capacitive menu button => settings:
under "Text message (SMS) settings"
tap on "Input mode"
and choose "Automatic"
or if "GSM alphabet" was selected select "Unicode" and vice versa
i hope that will help other users
android is so much fun
3rd edit:
thanks firefds for the "hint"
4th edit:
i attached the files per a request
and "T9DB" Folder path is "System\T9DB"
as for the path i extracted T9DB from:
I9100JHLP9_I9100PTRLP9_I9100JHLP9_HOME.tar\cache.ext4\recovery\sec_csc.zip\system\T9DB
why dont you install another rom?
just flash a multi-language rom ( like some of the samsung based, or aokp, or miui )
and they have hebrew, dont start messing up your device if you're new to this.
btw you have pilotx hebrew rom samsung based
on pilotx.co.il
and some other hebrew roms on iandroid.co.il, try there.
