I'm having problems with connection.
Signal bars are very low (1-2)
I think that my problem is in roaming settings.
If i turn off roaming, then i can't make calls.Signal will lost...
If i turn on roaming, then i see roam triangle icon in top right corner.
But before i flashed my Sprint, i had no problem with roam.
No trangle, no roam.I had 6-7 bars in signal.
How to slove it?
Any1 help!
what rom are you using?
an official sprint rom from htc.com? a dcd or other cooked rom?
have you tried to reapply the radio?
have you tried to flash the current official rom?

I just upgraded my Sprint Mogul to WM6.1 from WM6. Prior to the update my phone worked great. Now, it roams all the time so I can't make (receive?) phone calls. I also connect at lower than EDVO a lot. What happened? What can I do to fix this?
Also, are there extra charges to use the phone service when it is roaming? How does that work and how much does it cost?

I was having the same problem. I updated my PRL to the most recent and have had MUCH better signal.
I have the same problem too... I am not sure what is going on.. My phone keeps dropping down to 1X even though I have all 5 bars. Please help someone!!! I have tried pretty much every PRL since 60611 and also done a PRI update to 2.04... Can one of the experts please help here! I reflashed a dcd rom and have tried Radio 3.42.08 and 3.42.30.... But nothing seems to be helping.

I'll keep an eye on my network indicator, but I haven't had any major issues with making/receiving calls yet...
But I do know this latest Sprint rom seems to be ridiculously slow for me in the typing aspect...

I think I have a theory about this.. I have a feeling that somehow the phone ends up roaming onto Verizon's network but the phone does not know that its roaming so it does not try to switch to another tower. Since it gets a better signal it just keeps to the tower its connected to. I know there is a HomeID that is specified in the Phone's programming but its 0/0 for me on Sprint. Could that be an issue?
I also recently upgraded to wm6.1 i noticed once i upgraded my EVDO bars were going up and down like crazy. while in 1x it's all the bars. can't figure it out. seems to work better in 1x than in evdo.

Got HD2 on Orange.
problem is that it does not switch to T-mobile on weak orange signal.
Tried all the "set preferred networks2 but it does not seem to save it.
I can switch manually.
Also, when on T-mobile it sees it as roaming and stops all my apps.
any ideas how to sort it?

enable roaming to keep apps running. As for the signal from what i've seen being on tmob you need to lose signal before it auto switches, signal is still a signal whether it's weak or strong
mine wil switch before a total loss of signal....
could just be that the t mobile signal is even weaker than your orange signal.
t mobiles coverage is balls...(in scotland anyway)

When I set the preferred networks, it always goes back to the original settings...
i could use phonealarm with network snapshot but was hoping that phone could do it by itself..
hard reboot the phone and set to tmbile on 1st boot

I know that I had to register with my mobile company (T-Mobile UK) that I wanted to do the switching. The switching between Orange and T-Mobile had been available for about a month, but my phone never switched prior to signing up for it by text.
For some reason there is a room in my house that doesn't get a T-Mobile signal. Now it automatically goes to Orange.

I read about the switching facility, and that they were rolling it out. Since the OP was with Orange I could not say whether they were automatically updated or they had to sign up for it or they wouldn't be getting it till much later. T-Mobile & Orange will automatically update everyone sometime in the near future.
where i live t-mobile is poor, i pull up outside my house and its allready telling me i may be charged for roaming, and switched to orange.
I installed the ED05 rom and now i do not get 3g or 1x signal.
I can call and use roaming but i get no 3g... or 1x.

I flashed the SuperNexus mod tonight. The only problem I am facing is that I no longer roam. I roam while in buildings at school because Sprint's service is weak except when outside (Brick buildings). Is there anyway to get it to roam?

I clean flashed CloudyG3 1.2 this weekend. Didn't have any issues at all and I enjoy the ROM.
Came into work (about 15 minutes from my house that has 4G) and I get an error stating that roaming data is turned off and that I need to turn it on, but costly data rates may apply.
When I turn it on, it goes to 3G, with the "R" symbol, presumably for roaming.
In the past, I would typically swap back and forth from 3G to 4G, depending on where I'm at while working.
Is this a ROM issue? Modem issue? Is this just something to not even worry about? Is there a fix?

is a known issue with Cloudy Rom but you could try JasmineRom_v3.0,that has o issue....

Cloudy mentions this, he says it's really not roaming and roaming in US is free anyway

VS985 users should stop reporting the roaming issue, it's a known issue when using international base. And I dont know why its so much a trouble for u guys bc you just need to tick Data Roaming enable, it's not really roaming. Btw VZW does give you free roaming in US anyway. Changing the build.prop just causing more issue.
If you guys cant live with that, so please ignore this ROM.
